nigeria has so much money to fight a very long war. FACT !!!

nigeria still has over $30 Trillion of mineral reserves not yet touched, i mean Trillions, NOT even Billions now....that $60 Billion reserve is peanut compared to the massive wealth nigeria is still sitting down on top of it...true giant of africa...now rapidly rising out of the ocean like a Godzilla cool

Fighter Pilot: This was obtained from wikipedia

ey producers

As of 2005, strategic minerals and key producers were:

Diamonds: 46% of the world, divided as Botswana 35%; Congo (Kinshasa) 34%; South Africa 17%; Angola, 8%.[7]

Gold: 21% of the world, divided as South Africa 56%; Ghana, 13%; Tanzania, 10%; and Mali, 8%.[8]

Uranium: 16% of the world, divided as Namibia 46%; Niger 44%; South Africa less than 10%.[9]

Bauxite (for aluminium): 9% of the world, divided as Guinea 95%; Ghana 5%.[10]

Steel: 2% of the world, divided as South Africa 54%; Egypt 32%; Libya 7%; Algeria 6%.[8]

Aluminium: 5% of the world, divided as South Africa 48%; Mozambique 32%; Egypt 14%.[10]

Copper (mine/refined): 5%/ of the world, divided as Zambia 65%/77%; South Africa 15%/19%; Congo (Kinshasa) 13%/0%; Egypt 0%/3%.[10]

Platinum/Palladium: 62% of the world,[11] divided as South Africa 97%/96%.[12]

Coal: 5% of the world, divided as South Africa 99%
you cannot challenge me with ordinary percentages. do you buy food in the shop with percentages ? cheesy

try to match the way i did my own clear and indisputable dollar cash calculations cheesy

change those things to dollars with source to show each mineral quantity in S.I Units and dollar value per current market rates cheesy

now the south african will run away from mathematics cheesy

zaandrew: Before you try and call a cobra a ifv look up what defens the IFV.
you are the one who forgot to look up the meaning of IFV before you wrote your usual misinformation.

"An infantry fighting vehicle (IFV): The Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe defines infantry fighting vehicle as an armoured combat vehicle which is designed and equipped primarily to transport a combat infantry squad, which is armed with an integral or organic cannon of at least 20 millimeters calibre and sometimes an antitank missile launcher."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infantry_fighting_vehicle

Nigerian Cobra, VBL, BTR-3U are all IFV according to that NATO definition, nigerian amry has about 500 of those vehicles and we have the most modern IFV force in all africa today, even mighty Egypt is not as modern as nigeria in that weapons class.

Fighter Pilot: What makes any country rich is the GDP per capita. That is the basics of Economics. If your economics teaches you otherwise then I am afraid.

Moreover, with your Accounting degrees et al, DRC remains the richest country in Africa in terms of minerals and definitely not Nigeria.

Fighter Pilot: Nigeria cannot have more than $7 billion foreign because they do not qualify for much bigger debt due to their limited avenues for collection. The government makes not more than $25billion in tax collection.
you can fly come to abuja and remove $53 from nigeria's $60 billion cash reserves and carry it to soweto so that the account will reduce to your wish of $7 billion.

envy will just k.ill you....debtor nation of pretoria grin

nigerian cash reserves account 1 has $50 billion, account 2 has $10 billion dedicated, new account 3 has more billions of dollars sovereign wealth.

Fighter Pilot: Foreign debt is not something to be paid off in cash. It has to be paid on installments and that is what SA is doing. We still have enough money to even loan other countries, such as Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Swaziland, etc. We have recently bailed out Zimbabwe to the tune of $100 million.
http://www.timeslive.co.za/thetimes/2013/04/16/sa-bails-out-zimbabwe-to-tune-of-r900m

America (US) is even worse because their foreign debt is egual to the GDP, yet the US continue to help the unfortunate in the likes of Nigeria to this day.
99.9% of nigerian weapons were purchased with nigerian oil money, from china, ukraine, russia, israel, italy, india, germany, and france....only about 0.1% comes from USA and we paid for all the C-130 hercules.

try do small research if you cannot do big fact finding cheesy

south africa is NOT richer than nigeria

http://allafrica.com/stories/201209120083.html
http://data.worldbank.org/sites/default/files/gdf_2012.pdf
http://www.resbank.co.za/Pages/default.aspx

GDP is a poor measure of wealth. Net-worth in terms of dollar/other forex cash reserves minus debts is a better measurement. Regular cash in-flow per month is also very important.

the above is the easiest way to determine which country is richer, other methods do not show real purchasing power and savings.

south africa's external debt is about $47 Billion

nigeria's external debt is $7 billion

net cash south africa about $3 billion

net cash nigeria about $43 billion

the above means each south african citizen is truly worth $57, while each nigerian citizen is truly worth $243.

GDP does not show a country's real financial power. you cannot buy goods from europe/america/china and pay with your GDP, but you can pay with your dollar cash reserves, or your monthly cash flow

as usual, south africa is over-rated. subtract their external debt from their dollar/other forex reserve and south africa is cleary in deficit/negative funds. do same for nigeria and we have a surplus of about $40 billion

Nigeria is actually richer than South Africa.....by about $40 billion !

Definition of net cash :

i wont waste my time do repeat that post of many pages ago, between pages 200 to 350, i posted a very long and detailed analysis to prove that nigeria is the richest country in africa by mineral resources, your south african man @Sithwell had to swallow his rainbow pride after he read that post smiley

Nigeria has $32 Trillion mineral wealth reserves, highest in Africa

''proven oil reserves in Nigeria as of 2011, ranking the country as the largest oil producer in Africa and the 11th largest in the world, averaging 2.28 million barrels per day (362×103 m3/d) in 2006. At current rates this would be 45 years of supply if no new oil was found. "

Nigeria and São Tomé have an agreement in which the Joint Development Authority was created to explore and produce oil in the waters between Sao Tome and Nigeria. Nigeria and Sao Tome share this area, called the Joint Development Zone, or JDZ. This area could contain up to, or over, 14 billion barrels of oil.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oil_reserves_in_Nigeria

"Natural gas reserves are well over 187 trillion ft³ (2,800 km³), the gas reserves are three times as substantial as the crude oil reserves. "

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petroleum_industry_in_Nigeria

The occurrence of bitumen deposits in Nigeria is indicated at about 42 billion tonnes; almost twice the amount of existing reserves of crude petroleum. Analytical results suggest that this potential resource can be used directly as an asphalt binder. Most bitumen used for road construction in Nigeria is currently imported.

http://www.nipc.gov.ng/deposit.html

add the barrels of crude oil together, add the gas reserves 3 times the oil, add the bitumen oil sands 2 times the oil reserves. (37+10) add (37+10) x3 add (37+10) x2 then multiply the answer by $100 current market price for oil (nigerian oil grade is the best in the world and most expensive) answer you get is $30 Trillion. then add the solid minerals below...the answer will blow your mind with envy !

coal is 3 billion tonnes, iron ore is 3 billion tonnes, multiply their market value $115 per tonne both rising towards a trillion dollars. there are 34 different types of solid minerals, estimate for them will coal and iron ore $2 Trillion market value for all the 34 solid minerals. nigerian limestone deposit is even bigger than our coal and iron ore value, nigeria is the paradise of mineral wealth and king of africa with no rival.

http://www.nipc.gov.ng/deposit.html

you see why many south africans cannot understand my economic posts, they find it hard to do mathematics when i give them the sources of data. you also see how honest i am and sincere with the truth.

i quoted Congo DRC wealth by copying what someone gave me but he had no source, so i went to find a source and i got Congo DRC total mineral wealth is $24 Trillion

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mining_industry_of_the_Democratic_Republic_of_the_Congo

Nigeria is the richest country in africa in terms of mineral wealth, net-worth cash, we dwarf south africa.

economic textbook classifies nigeria as frugal economy that has money and saves, refuses to spend much. south africa is classified as welfare/tending spendthrift economy because it runs into huge spending...but at a painful cost that makes it have debt of $40 billion for a 51 million population. it is a time bomb.

zaandrew: Mirrage 2000? Ok since you started off so horrbily wrong I don't see a need to commint. I will had that yes we did get some aid from israel but all the work was done by south africans and the cheeta C and kirf have many difrenices.

The cheeta C flew a mock dog fight with USAF F15 and in the end they caim out to be equel. The eltronics and sub sytems of the cheata C matched the F16. A source for this was all ready posted some time ago. Do I need to repost it.
i started off so correctly, i hurt your national rainbow pride cheesy

Israel upgraded the Cheetah from Mirage jets for south africa, its details are classified to avoid Israel being sanctioned for giving military technology to apartheid south africa. dont claim the glory of Israel and transfer it to south africa, the Israeli God called Yahweh is very powerful and he will be angry with you cheesy

let us expose your lies with some information :

"The arms embargo imposed at the time by United Nations Security Council Resolution 418 prevented South Africa from purchasing new aircraft from other countries, thus making an upgrade of existing aircraft the only option. By this stage, the South African aviation industry had reached the level of technical capability to make a large and sophisticated upgrade possible, leading the SAAF to make the only possible decision, to radically upgrade one of the existing types in service.

The work was carried out by Atlas Aviation (formerly Atlas Aircraft Corporation and lately Denel Aviation), using expertise partly gained by recruiting technicians from Israel's aborted Lavi jet fighter project.

Most leading aviation publications believe that Israel Aircraft Industries was involved in at least the initial stages of the upgrade, and that some of the upgrades components were sourced from Israel, though the SAAF refuses to either confirm or deny such speculation.[citation needed] However, considering the close ties in defence industry research between South Africa and Israel at the time, such co-operation on the Cheetah program seems likely"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlas_Cheetah

Israel has already upgraded its own Mirage jets into the Kfir jet and had already developed the Kfir jet into the Lavi jet, so south africa just paid millions of dollars to Israel as usual and got them to transfer all the upgrade technology of Kfir jet and Lavi jet onto south african Mirage jets and call them a new name....Cheetah

....and you south africa liars are real cheaters.... you cheat too much with lies and stolen glory cheesy

the whole world knew Israel did the Mirage/Cheetah upgrade for south africa, but Israel is hiding the details due to UN embargo, FACT !!!

now today's cheetah jet and today's F-16 or F-15 jet are not the same.

F-16 and F-15 are still american air forces main backbone, they gets upgraded almost every year with new technology software and hardware, but cheetah jet is static and not a match for today's F-15 jet.

only a fool will fly your toy cheetah jet against an F-15 today and get himself k.illed by the unbeatable F-15 jet with world record real life combat record of shooting down any modern jet that challenges it including many Mig 29 jets of Iraq war.

no jet fighter in this world has even scratched, not even talk of shoot down an F-15 jet, please keep your south african Cheetah jets in the museum and save their lives from american F-15 jets....soweto fools cheesy

saengine: Are our enemy fighting us with paper planes that cost THEM nothing to operate? Prolonged war becomes a battle of budgets. A prolonged war can be sustained, but it would make a huge dent into the fiscus. Same as it would to our enemy.
a prolonged war will hurt south african economy too bad, you already have an unhealthy foreign dollar debt of $40 billion and no plan to repay it soon....reason your government says it will not send any more troops into Congo war unless UN pays more money to fund south africa....even a small war you cannot fight without fear of getting more broke.

nigeria has foreign dollar debt of only $7 billion, and foreign dollar cash reserve of over $60 billion in two CBN accounts, nigeria is also the richest country in africa in terms of mineral reserves running into many tens of trillion of dollars ....giant of africa cool

zaandrew: Since when does that change any thing. You could fite the PL9 on the old mig 21 if you want to. And what does it matter china made it. Supper power make crapy sytems all the time.

The F7 is desghiend to fly in large numbers and intecept enemy air attacks. Nigeria does not have large numbers or any need for a inteptor. Talk about waist. 7 SU27 would have been a better deal

Yes the F7 could kill most west african air forces aircraft but then do littel els.

The mig 21 and f7 both carry small bomb loads, have poor endurance and are not ment to attack ground targets.
not only west africa, nigerian F-7 jet will s.hoot down 42 out of the 50 african airforces. FACT !!!

south african Hawk jets that DENEL wants to arm with A-Darter SRAAM, are they meant to be interceptors ?

F-7 jet is armed with bombs, rockets and cannon, all basic standard ground attack weapons. F-7 jet is more like a 60% interceptor and 40% ground attack aircraft.

the endurance/range of the F-7 jet is about as poor as that of Gripen jet, both are short range point defence/attack aircraft.

i am sure you will be one of the first to be deleted in a war zone if you show your face there....you underestimate weapons as if they are toys for your 3 year old son cheesy

zaandrew: Wrong only the BTR 3 can be classed has a IFV. You don't even seem to know what a IFV is.
you are the mugu who doea not know what an IFV is, you that cannot fix a 17.5m helicopter shoe into a warship shoe-box. soweto mumu cheesy

cobra is an APC/IFV modular multi-purpose weapon platform. dont ever compare south african mamba with nigerian cobra, both names mean snake, but the weapons are far apart in capability.

nigeria is the only country in all africa that has Cobra IFV, one of the best APC/IFV in africa. nigeria has about 500 Cobra, VBL, and BTR-3U APC/IFV modular multi-purpose vehicles.

Mamba has nothing i can find on its webpages other than 12.7mm gun. Cobra has 12.7mm to 30mm gun depending on what you fix there, also Cobra can carry 40mm grenade launcher, 81-mm mortar artillery launchers, about 4 SPIKE anti-tank missiles, and a gun calibre from 12.7mm to 30mmm.

now dude, that is an IFV by NATO standard definition of 20mm gun minimum calibre.

try use google if you cannot use your h.ead cheesy cheesy

zaandrew: Dude the old cheata c was in the same legeu of the F16 and could even match the F15. The gripen is 4.5 that is what experts call it and the E model is a 5gen.
Mirage 2000 jet could not match ancient Mig-23 jet, so israel upgraded it for south africa to match the Mig-23...how will that Cheetah jet now match F-16 and F-15 ? let Egypt fly its F-16 against Equador's Cheetah , then lets see who gets shot down to hades cheesy

andrewza: The Pakistan F7 is all so crappy. And it is all so a interceptor and poor in ground support

Those are all APCs Nigeria only IFV in serves are the BTR3

Again not IFVs
sharaap dude, you lie too much.

F-7 jet is not crap, it carries one of the best air to air missiles in the world...PL-9, if F-7 jet is crap, then why is a world number 3 super power China's air force still flying over 300 F-7 jets today and up till 2015-2016 ?

F-7 jet is a 3.5 generation jet and good at what it is meant to do, just like the Hawk jet is not great, but will do its designed job.

F-7 jet is the best in west africa, and only 8 of the 50 or so countries in africa have a better jet than F-7.

F-7 jet will shoot down 42 out of the 50 air forces in africa.

F-7 is good in ground attack as much as Mig 21MF was. it is deadly at its level.

Nigerian F-7 jets came with $12 million worth of modern ground attack basic weapons, bombs, rockets and double barrelled cannon ammo. enough to rule the west african sub region and 42 out of 50 african countries. nigeria currently makes up for the F-7 jet weaknesses by a powerful air defence system.

Nigeria has about 500 Cobra, VBL, and BTR-3U. only about 5 african countries have such a modern armoured force.

now those are not just APC as you claim, they are all of modern modular design to work as both APC and IFV.

these nigerian army armoured vehicles are built with extra hardware options to carry anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles plus their cannon, machine guns, and mortar artillery...those are APC/IFV modular combat vehicles, stop telling lies....fool angry

"The Cobra armored personnel carrier can be adapted for various roles and mission requirements

A wide range of weapons can be mounted on the roof, including remotely operated 7.62-mm or 12.7-mm machine guns, 40-mm grenade launchers or cannons up to 30-mm caliber.
Vehicle has a crew of two and can carry 9 fully equipped troops. Seating capacity might differ, depending on variant and configuration. There is a number of firing ports provided for the occupants.
The Cobra is powered by the General Motors 6.5-liter V8 turbocharged diesel engine, developing 190 horsepower. This vehicle uses a number of automotive components from the American HMMWV, which is used in large numbers by the US Army and many other countries. Vehicle is fitted with run-flat tyres, however central tyre inflation system is optional. An amphibious version of the Cobra has been developed.
The Cobra family of vehicles are transportable by aircraft or helicopters due to it's relatively light weigh and compact profile.

Variants

Reconnaissance vehicle;
Command and control vehicle;
Ambulance;
Anti-tank missile carriers;
Mortar carrier;
Ground surveillance radar;
Forward observation vehicle;
Internal security vehicle."

andrewza: no it is not, you got 6m free space that alone is to litel. but there will be landing crew on the bridge, they will need a few metters of free space. the risks are just to great.

and your source does not state the jayhawk ever landed on a USCG hamilton class cutter. They have many more vesseals.
you dont need a source to do simple mathematical calculation of 24m-17.5m = 6.5m.

american Jayhawk helicopter at 19.76m is longer than nigerian Mi-35 Hind helicopter at 17.5m

i told you that nigerian NNS Thunder is Hamiliton class cutter in america and the americans land Jayhawk Helicopters on that same ship and sail with it from america to persian gulf of iran with NO problems and no risk of helicopter accident.

only your south african helicopter pilots are so poorly skilled and cannot land a 17.5m Mi-35 Hind helicopter on a 24m flight deck. foolish 33% brain south african airforce pilots. cheesy

"Between 1985 and 1992 all Hamilton-class cutters underwent FRAM (Fleet Rehabilitation and Modernization) which entailed the upgrading and standardization of the ship's propulsion systems. In addition, the flight deck and hangar were modified to accommodate an HH-60J Jayhawk SAR helicopter.

The Hamilton-class cutters are capable of embarking either a single HH-65 Dolphin or HH-60J Jayhawk helicopter."

http://tech.military.com/equipment/view/89165/hamilton-class-high-endurance-cutter.html

NNS Thunder will carry Mi-35 Hind helicopter gunship with ease...see photo of so much free space the Augusta 109 Helicopter cannot even occupy. simple mathematics 24m-17.5m = 6.5m

Fighter Pilot: If that is how your attitude is channelled, then I pity Nigeria because it has gone through thousands of missions under the command of Generals other than Nigerian born.

Losers always resort to childish games to sooth themselves from shame. I won't doubt to serve under a foreign general. India, Ukraine, etc in Congo are still under the command of a Brazilian. So, what is your point? Just for once try to be objective and earn the respect you deserve. Your fellow countrymen are losing the respect for you by bits, so pull up your socks and start reasoning, or should we say that is the end of you. Come on Agaugust, I hope you can do much better.

the Tanzanian General will simulate and draw his war plans and a few others including the Brazilian General will only contribute opinions, if the Tanzanian sees reasons to accept their input, he will, but if not , he wont....the UN mandate is on the Tanzanian to defeat the rebels on battlefield...not on paper drawings...he will fight the way he knows.

Tanzania has great war history of defeating Libya and Uganda two powerful countries with one single blow in a full scale war. GREAT FACT !!

Brazil has zero war history in modern times and Brazil has never fired one bullet in any war ! FACTUAL FACT !!!

UN knows why they chose Tanzania to lead war instead of inexperienced and incompetent Brazil or South Africa. MORE FACT !!
