mr man, nigerian unemployement rate is probably about 25% in reality, nigerians are not lazy people who sit down at home doing nothing, even an 18 year old agbero boy in ojuelegba earns money at the motor garage.

world bank poverty rate is not looking at one sided wealth/luxury, it is looking at basic food/daily needs for a simple life not having excess/surplus. lets not turn standard principles of economics upside down.

B.iafran world war II combat aircraft were from a world war that ended just 22 years back, say 22 year old aircraft. good enough to be a force. even today many air forces of NATO powers of europe are flying F-16 jets 35 years old. so b.iafra was good with 25 year old air craft, only few countries in africa like egypt and so on had better air force at that time.

A long term solution needs be implemented to avoid a full scale war.

ethiopia and egypt have no common border. egypt needs to pass through sudan's land or sail red sea to get its army into ethiopia. egypt can only attack ethiopia easily from the air, coming by read sea, egyptian army will be sunk to sea bottom by ethiopian artillery. F-16 jet range is too short from egypt to ethiopia, needs air re-fueling in flight or help from sudan.

the 1875 war between them was lost by egypt because it must sail on red sea to reach ethiopia and egypt was defeated. same will happen today, unless sudan grants land and air access to egypt, then israel may send its air force or missiles to protect ethiopia.

they two countries are too far apart for a quick war.

egypt has no jet fighter that can reach nigeria.

Knn Lynn: I personally think the strongest militaries belong to East African countries such as Ethiopia and Tanzania possibly even Kenya too. Ethiopia is in top 4 strongest military in africa along with Egypt, Nigeria, Algeria.

Kenya and Tanzania lack good numbers of heavy weapons, too few. also they have not been tested in major wars like nigeria using 10,000 soldiers against 40,000 in thick jungle wars of liberia/sierra leone.

nigerian army obeys nigerian government, moved into mali war in march, moved into northern bases of B.oko H.aram in may.

USA forces did not take off from somalia in defeat, they were there to help somalia by 'deleting' rebel leader farah aidid, they left because their dead soldiers were dragged on the street with vehicles and shown on american TV, if a white man goes to help a black man and he is treated like that, he will withdraw his help.

the somali civilians too turned against USA because it is a christian nation sending soldiers into a muslim nation.

same was done to nigerian army in dafur sudan by muslim supporter of APC rebels, but nigeria stayed in sudan till today, black men helping black men.
