Rainer Media CEO, Christian Mba Kenechi - an Nsuka based photographer scams 3 In Camera Purchase

An Enugu-based photographer, Christian Mba Kenechi of Rainer Media, has been allegedly scamming individuals through fraudulent camera sales.

Incident Summary:
On August 11, 2024, I connected with Christian Mba Kenechi via the @camerajointng community on Instagram. He advertised a Canon M50 camera for sale and demonstrated its functionality through a video call. Based on our agreement, he was to ship the camera using GIG Logistics. After making the payment, I received a tracking number and began monitoring the shipment.

On August 16th, the package arrived at the GIG office. However, when I went to collect it, I discovered I was not listed as the recipient, and Christian began giving vague excuses.

When I reported the issue to the admin of camerajointng, they informed me that another buyer had reported the same scam, involving the exact camera. It became clear that Christian had “sold” the same camera to three different people.

The third buyer, a woman, eventually received the camera, but it was in poor condition. The built-in flash panel was damaged, requiring repairs costing approximately ₦250,000.

Warning to the Public:
Please exercise caution and avoid any transactions with Christian Mba Kenechi or Rainer Media to prevent falling victim to similar scams. This individual has engaged in deceptive practices that have caused financial loss to multiple individuals.

Call for Information:
If you have any information that could assist with his arrest by the Nigerian Police, EFCC, or Civil Defence, please comment on this thread. I will continue to monitor it in the hopes that we can collectively prevent more people from becoming victims.

I'm a Final year year students ,studying marketing.

I stay with my uncle that deals on computer accessories whenever school is on break and I take home not less than one thousand five hundred naira(#1500) everyday which I save to see myself through school, another thing is that age is no longer on my side and am considering leaving him to go learn a skill because the pandemic/ Federal government put school resumption on hold as at yesterday so I don't want to miss the opportunity of learning how to hustle on my own and my problems are;

Good Evening Everyone,

I live in Port Harcourt currently, and I am an aspiring to apply for admission at Yabatech in Lagos.

Long story shourt. I have applied for a digital training program at Port Harcourt at Tech Creek (Rivers State ICT Department). I selected Graphics and UI/UX Design when registering for the program. I am actually a graphic designer, but I want to upscale my skill with this training so that I'll learn the fundamentals of graphics and also learn UI/UX design.

Now cruz of the matter now is, I am now having doubt about graphics design putting food on the table expecially now that the field is saturated with "2k" designers designing "3D logos" and flyers.

So I was thinking if you guys could help me out from this confusion with some piece of advice based on experience or maybe a friend's experience.

Luckily I can swith to learn any of the following, Cybersecurity, Web Design (HTML, CSS, SJ and PHP) and Animation (though I don't just like animation).

I need a tech skill that would help me stay afloat during my school time in Yabatech Lagos. I need to learn something that is relevant and brings earning in the Lagos market.

So guys I really need this help cuz I would need to decide on Monday which is when the training starts.

Yes there are 2k logo designers but are you also aware of businesses that pays 50k, 150, 500k even millions regularly to designer?

It all boils down to how you position yourself.
