This is more like the uk visa bond brouhaha. Yorubas are britons while igbos are Nigerians. We live in funny times indeed.

Lol Did Fashola just tell Obi to use common sense?

Why do Ibo still cry war and blood? Do they think war is about holding hands and singing kumbaya?
Exactly ,wars are fought with only one goal in mind which is ...subdue these people forever or get subdued by them ,and who really wants to be dictated for?

kzokul: So orji uzor kalu that threatened to sue you have political ambitions too in this 2014 abi? So, aka ikenga, massob, NBA and all well meaning nigerians that have condemned this dastardly act all have political ambitions in this 2014 abi? So when others have condemned such act, gov peter obi who is the governor of the state you dumped those nigerian citizens shoul keep quiet ba? Because there will be governorship elections in his state. Fashola tell me something I don't know. If peter obi house catches fire now he shouldn't shout for help and call fire service because there is elections in anambra in 2014? If robbers in anambra go on robbery operation for for months peter obi should keep quiet because ther will be elections on november. Hahahahahaha! The same fashola that bought helmet for okada riders before 2011 elections and confiscated their bikes after the elections is making noise. Hahahahahah
thank you o. Tell them more. No one knows what can happen because of all these. God will intervane. cheesy

Fashola did you call Obi before you deported the Igbos? Yes/No?

He said before the state government embarked on the action, the Anambra State Government had been contacted but no response was received from it.

He said, “We also put the nation on notice that before the latest movement of some people to Onitsha, we notified the Anambra State government, which neither responded nor took action on our complaint.

“We also want the public to note that the Lagos State Government was involved in a similar deal with the Akwa Ibom State Government when some indigent Lagosians were moved back from Akwa Ibom State to Lagos.

They obviously notified the lazy and incompetent crying Peter Obi, but he was too busy kissing GEJ all over the place to give a damn about his own people..

This is what you get when you make incompetent ptoplt your leaders.

I'm glad Fashola scolded his asss out in the open.

These Eastern Governors should shut-up and do their homework to prevent their citizens from coming to Lagos as destitutes.

The Hausa destitutes are still everywhere in Lagos without a solution to their case yet.

No responsible Igbo can be deported from Lagos.

Governor Peter Adaobi, the first Nigerian female state governor, is still moaning while reasonable leaders go about commissioning projects to improve the lives of their people.

Perhaps if Adaobi had built that his shopping mall in Onitsha, most of those boys he stole from will not have moved to Lagos.

Yet, he has the time to write petitions and cry all over the streets of Onitsha while his people remain hopeless. It is a shame, it is a very big shame indeed.

I did not see any thing close to a response to Peter Obi's accusations. Did you deport or reconcile Igbos at midnight to Onitsha without the knowledge of the governor or their families or not? If yes why? And if no what happened? This has nothing to do with who peter obi decides to kiss or the coming elections, no lagosian is contesting the coming governorship election.
I had though fashola would be more coherent than the response he gave above.

Keep dancing over Adaobi's tears while he budgets more money to buy tissue paper and handkerchief to wipe it. Yeye dey smell.

“There is too much at stake for anyone to begin to insight the Igbo community against their host state. There is too much at stake here. It is a very dangerous and unwarranted precedent. And I hope that common sense will prevail here. Also for those who are praying for blood should know that there is too much at risk here.”

This is more of a threat. Are we still living in one-Nigeria? How can a so-called educated man speak like this in a country where citizen are free to acquire property and go about their lawful business? I'm trying to figure out why he used the term "host state", as if Igbos are refugees in Lagos. Truly, this is a very dangerous time in Nigeria. The repercussion of Fasholas actions is capable of consuming everybody. I hope he subscribes to his common sense. This is not about politics. This is about doing the right thing.

The igbos should maximize full advantage of this situation instead of just groaning and complaining. If it is true that some of their people were detained and deported illegally, then they should gather their evidence and sue the lagos state government all the way to the supreme court. The destitutes will hammer some good cash from damages.

I think Peter Obi should provide good legal services to the affected victims instead of writing Jonathan. What does he want Jonathan to do? Is Jonathan a judge?

Now you are talking!! Go to court ...very fast

While at that...they should provide a proven place of residence and last place of work in their court filling papers.

He has a point whether you accept it or not. It would be easier to fetch water with a basket than for Fashola to be president/vice president. You guys should be happy that the Igbos are shouting instead of bottling it all up. Do not mistake the silence of the northerners to mean that they don't care. I have been with them for long, what they want to do is in their minds.

gratiaeo: With this, Ngige governorship ambition is dead and buried.
Fashola you are dump no bi small, poor calculation.
Will you have win Lagos without tinubu?

Let's not bring Ngige into this feud. He is a true Igbo that has the interest of his kinsmen at heart. He did far more than Peter Obi. We are debating on Fashola's deportation of his fellow Nigerians and his use of the term "host state" as if Igbos are refugees in Nigeria. He went ahead to issue a veiled threat, by giving an indication that he is ready to escalate the feud by targeting and possibly their means of livelihood. Finally he decided to make a political meal out of the stuff by bringing in Anambra upcoming gubernatorial election. Fashola will trigger a chain reaction that will consume him an his kinsmen if he continues like this. This is what happens when ultra-nationalists are in power. Remember Milosevic! Fashola should learn from him. Hope he applies his common sense.
