chino24: In the real sense of it, Nnewi alone generate more IGR than entire Oshun state.
The state claimed they generate N450 Yearly, but according to you, some town inside the same state generate more money that the sate

So, is Nnewi the state collecting money on behalf of the state or Anambra is the state collecting money from Nnewi?

The level of economic activities in Nnewi alone surpasses all the things happening in all of of oshun state. What happens when we add a major city as Onitsha. Fact!
At the end of the day, whatever the state collects from Nnewi is tallied up by the state and according to the state, everything generated inside Anambra including Nnewi = Measly N450

Anambra IGR is not newspaper based, when you land in the state you will realize that its IGR base and its economy can only be second to Lagos which is not a yeroba state but former capital of Nigeria. Fact!
You are not the tax collector, Anambra state is the tax collector and all they collect yearly is pitiful N450 million

Anambra state IGR = N450 million, one of the poorest in Nigeria..

Btw, get off your Lagos phobia, we are talking about Osun state, the same Osun that generates more money than the cradle of ibo civilization

I don't even know why you illiterates call other people poor when in fact you are very very poor than the people you are calling poor.

chino24: Nwokem forget about all these newspaper based IGR. In the real terms it is only few states as Lagos, Rivers, Anambra and Kano that has a very strong IGR base and are capable of improving on the said IGR due to high economic activities going on there.

I still cannot understand how Oshun is generating even N500 million. Is there anything happening in Oshun if not civil servants based economy?
The Anambra State Government is worried about its low Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), which is estimated to be in the region of N450 million monthly.

http://orientnewspaper.com/anambra-boosting-revenue-generation-via-tax-enforcement/

Osun raises IGR to N1.6b from N300m

http://dailyindependentnig.com/2013/09/osun-raises-igr-to-n1-6b-from-n300m/
That's your Anambra the cradle of ibo civilization with your pitiful and meager chump change that I wont even call IGR.

You people are not only ignorant about everything, you are even ignorant about your own iboland..

Gbawe: What is wrong with you? Even if they indoctrinate you to hate and pull others down blindly, can you not read and comprehend what is written before you let the hate in your heart dictate your utterance?

Furthermore, the poster below has illustrated what I am always warning about when I say Nigerians are beginning to show a unique level of hatred for each other that will continue to keep us down while others make progress. The poster below is Cameroonian yet balanced, positive-minded and decent enough to understand that a good thing is a good thing. No two ways about it. Soon Nigerian blogs will be unique for the revolting Nigerian-on-Nigerian 'bad belle' hatred going on there that is unrivalled by blogs of other nations.
They can not read and comprehend. We call them village illiterates for a reason..

I love many state agencies in Lagos and one of my favorites is the Lagos state electricity board. They are one of the most active agencies in Lagos and I see them lighting up LAGOS completely in less than 5 years..

Now, do you know why I'm highlighting these kids and and all the Lagos state catch them young activities and programs?.

It's because of what we just saw with MI and BRF.

The governor said so many things about energy and energy conservation including the power kids.

This is just to show you that it's one thing to talk just for the heck of it, it's another thing to actually put your money and policies where you mouth is and BRF is definitely putting both where his mouth is with so many programs going on simultaneously to expose our young kids to the civil service and state institutions, social and environmental responsibilities and lastly, credible leadership.

This is how you build a sane and credible society with skilled, knowledgeable and competent professionals with great sense of duty and state pride.

Seeing Lagos state Logo and crest on their different wears is a major plus for me. This is state pride, sense of duty, sense of worth and belonging.

Many folks on here and even down in Lagos don't know half of what's going on in Lagos..

Lagos is many decades ahead of a lot of states in Nigeria, their leaders are thinking and making moves against issues decades away.

The energy game is about to swing wide open and it's great to see Lagos state ready and well prepared to engage Lagosians with superior service delivery in the power sector.

Even their youth energy and conservation advocacy is exemplary and pioneering .

I'll explore and showcase the energy grass roots and youth advocacy program with pics in this thread.

Atouke: Best western operates motels worldwide a motel is more or less a bed and breakfast type thing. is this the only chain that rauf could find? why is fauf spending 2.5bn to build a bed and breakfast type place? and some clowns are celebrating this?
With boat loads of illiterates running in Nigeria, that country is eternally doomed..
