geeez: It's best you ignore them

They post those things but deep within their hearts they are hurt, pained, frustrated and wondering why their states can't do half as much
I see what you're saying, but these illiterates and drop outs obviously didn't get any meaningful education apart from whatever hate and bigotry they received on their parents laps. We should expose their illiteracy and shallowness and also help educate them sometimes..

bestview: Oshun is a rural, timid and local state. Who is gonna lodge in the hotel? Is it the poor people of oshun who cannot afford three square meals? Or who visits oshun if not same yeroba people? The clown should just focus on cocoa farming and stop wasting his time on white elephant projects that cannot bring returns on investment in such a poor state as oshun.
Do you people really think multi national comps with decades of experience don't know what they are doing or that they don't do their home work and research before investing their money?

Then highlighted shows that you are another ignorant joker with lousy knowledge about his own country and obviously poor elementary school grades in social studies...

Your FG pronounced Osun Grove a National Monument in 1965. Osun Grove is a UNESCO declared heritage and tourist location and your federal government make millions selling tickets to tourists visiting hundreds of tourists sites in Osun state. every year...

http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/1118

National Commission for Museum and Monuments issues ticket that allows a tourist to enter the grove. The ticket costs N100.

And according to Mr. Olakunle, about 100, 000 tourists visit the grove yearly aside from those who come for the festival.

^^^^^^ Even though the useless FG is not doing much to invest in what's really a gold mine. Thanks to Ogbeni for his leadership role and race to turn Osun and Nigeria into a vibrant tourist location..

Back to topic...

So, we have Radisson building a 5 STAR hotel with golf course in Osun, now the Best Western is complementing that with theirs..

Ogbeni is is ne heck of a public administrator...

He go the Agric thing on lock

He's pursuing IT and high-tech relentlessly

Bow he's attacking tourism and related infrastructures to the "T" ..

I know Ogbeni is a trained engineer, but the way he's putting everything together like jigsaw puzzle in Osun is breathtaking.

Gbawe: Indeed. This is why he is here claiming to be a "medical doctor" on "sabbatical" while his ignorant and uneducated utterances leaves no one in doubt that he is, at best, a Village herbalist. What a clown.
The worthless clown obviously picked the wrong thread to troll. Medical doctor is his fantasy, but a sad loser and errand boy in his real life.

What a sad loser..

Sincere 9gerian: Imagine Tinubu's chief as5 licker and propagandist pointing fingers? Remove the massive log of wood in your eyes first so you can SEE clearly.
Inability to read and comprehend basic English words at your tired and old age is very very disheartening.

You are obviously a sad byproduct of your Aso Rock master's bankrupt education system.

Bury your miserable head in shame sometimes..
2.5 billion for a 4-star hotel? Even if its just gonna be only 20 rooms, that amount can't build, equip and furnish a 3-star hotel let alone a 4-hotel .
Says our resident ignorant and goofy hotel construction specialist. Do you have any data detailing manpower cost, materials cost, state land and tax incentives and provisions and other related info to share with us or this is one of the worthless and rancid poo you people normally pull from your narrow assessss...?
[s]Will you shut the fvck-up here and stop deceiving your fellow yoruba block-heads! Who told you that "Raddison" is a 5-star hotel chain? Is that one of d APC propaganda given to you by Aregbe to come and spew here? Even Aregbe himself knows dat Osun State cannot afford anything dat is 3-star let alone FIVE STAR, dat is why he is always flashing his 2-fingers in d air to signal dat everything in Osun should be 2-star, 2-star. So if d governor himself believes in a 2-star status for his state, who are u 2come here to claim 5-STAR, let alone 7-STAR like Akwa Ibom.
Block-head let me educate you. ONLY hotel-chains like Starwood Group (owners of the Sheraton, Four-point and Le Meridien franchise), and Hilton and Protea are the global players in 5 & 7-STAR hotel business.

Your lunatic verbal attacks will not help you. FACE ONLY THE FACTS![/s]

Isn't it ironic, sad and pitiful that the only hotel in osun state which osunites can boast-of or brag-about is a CHEAP 30-ROOM 2-STAR MOTEL? Who would then use the airport which osun governor is touting when it is completed in year 3030?
You said below...

Osun state (unlike Lagos and Akwa Ibom) has NO tourism infrastructure to support foreign tourists. Infrastructures such as: standard hotels let alone "FIVE STAR HOTELS

The question is, why is a world famous 5 star hotel chain like Radisson investing in a 5 star hotel in Osun state? Just why? Are you smarter and do you have better access to more tourism economy knowledge than raddison?

One of the latest finalised projects is the construction of a luxurious 120 room hotel and golf resort which also includes an estate of 200 villas in Osogbo, Osun state. This is a public and private partnership (PPP) together with the Osun State Government. We were able to secure the finance required of 40 million USD and sign a management and contract agreement with Radisson GROUP. The golf course and villa complex will be designed and constructed by GDI holdings, a well known international design company based in South Africa.
3. The Osun festival is one which attracts mainly peasants and some Ifa idol worshippers 4m osun n other places in yorubaland.
4. Osun festival has neither the finess to attract international tourists, nor can it be compared wit a high-profile festival like d Calabar Carnival which attracts over 10 million tourists globally.
5. Osun state (unlike Lagos and Akwa Ibom) has NO tourism infrastructure to support foreign tourists. Infrastructures such as: standard hotels let alone "FIVE STAR HOTELS ", let alone beaches, or cinemas, or even well-paved city roads are non-existent. Osun state has no tourism potential.
6. Economic-wise, Osun states comparative advantage is in cocoa plantation and not tourism.
I can go on and on and on. And these are all sacred FACTS.
The level of ignorance you people display on the internet is very disheartening makes you want to weep for Nigeria and her sorry and pitiful education system, even basic social studies knowledge eludes many of you.

Is it possible not to have what you are know for and what your own federal government actually make millions from by selling tickets to tourists in Osun to visit tourist sites and National landmarks.

Osun grove is a UNESCO declared World Heritage Site which is what tourists all over the world look for to visit and they have dedicated resort centers for tourists. The site is home to rare animals and over 450 species of rare plants.

Your own Federal Government declared the grove a national monument way back in 1965 and they still make millions every year from ticket sales tourists.

There are hundreds of tourist cluster sites in Osun state alone and they have tons of beautiful hotels in Osun state and I'll post pics gan sef..

Radisson Group already lining up a 5-star resort and golf course in Abere, Osogbo, the Osun State capital, and which could see its formal unveiling this year or latest the first quarter of next year,

While preliminary construction work has taken off in Abere, Osogbo, Chinese[b] contractors for the Radisson Hotel & Golf Course in the area said last year that the project would take close to 18 months to complete and complement the already existing MicCom Hotel $ Golf course.

The hotel, which has among other facilities, an 18-hole Golf course, is jointly owned by the Osun state government and IFC Limited, a private company which has concerns in Nigeria and overseas.

The 120 - room hotel which is designed by Compact Project Consultants, Radisson Oshogbo is crafted to meet today's global hospitality standards. So tell me, why is Radison investing so much money in Osun?

I know I call many of you people illiterates, but you really do act like illiterates for real..
