Politics / Re: Tinubu's Newyear Message To Nigerians-be Part Of The Change You Want To See by agbameta: 2:22pm On Dec 31, 2013
After a frenzied dash to reconcile the irreconcilable accounting books keep by this government, it was reported that only approximately $11 billion was unaccounted! We have dropped so far that somehow losing $11 billion is now a sign of fiscal rectitude! This is tragic. In an atmosphere of good governance, this amount would never grow legs and walk away unnoticed. If it did, senior officials would have been duly escorted to the police station for criminal investigation.

Obviously, Jonathan thinks exposing fighting corruption in his administration makes him look bad or paints his administration negatively hen in fact it's the other way around and this is me assuming that he himself is not part of the looting team which I do believe he is. What president/government looks the other way with $11 billion unaccounted for? Only a corrupt president with dirty hands of course.

[b]So you see, this is the characteristics of a primary school drop out. He's always aggressive and on the defensive when you ask him about his academic qualifications.

If only you had listened to your parents when they were forcing you to go to school, you wouldn't have been this frustrated. You thought Nigeria was so bad and it would never get better, so you packed your bag from Oyo state and ran to Lagos to become a vulcanizer. Hoping that before your childhood friends graduate from school, you would have become a rich man.

Now you are bitter because Nigeria is developing faster than you anticipated, and your childhood friends are doing well in the corporate sector while you're stuck in the Vulcanizing business. You just don't want to believe that Nigeria is developing, so you'll deny, curse, fight, cancel comments, rant and gnash your teeth.

Stop living in self denial bro, it's happening right before your eyes and NO! You're not sleeping or dreaming. cheesy cheesy This is real bro, it's real.

Is my academic qualifications responsible for your worthless and miserable existence?

Must you people not make any damn sense even for your own good?

Yes it does matter. A Primary School graduate will think primary school stuff irrespective of age.

A High school graduate will reason on a high school level.

A college graduate will reason and converse like a college graduate.

A Post-graduate degree holder will reason more critically and analyze more independently on a Post graduate level.

A Post-doctorate degree holder will expantiate immensely on a subject, he talks too much but he makes a lot of sense.

There is a trend here and if plotted graphically, you'll note that your critical thinking skills and analyzing potentials increase exponentially as your education progress.

So please tell me, what is your academic qualifications? No offence intended, i just want to know so that i can address you moderately.

Abagworo is not a GEJ supporter and he has told you the truth. I respect people like him. But you refuse to be honest with yourself.
I've been travelling pretty much as a result of a project I've been running for about a year now.

Two things you will surely notice and every traveler agrees is 1) The absense of police check points is the best thing that has happened in ages. Not only are there almost no more highway robberies, the journey is smoother.
The second biggest observation is the amount of road construction going on accross the country in a very active fashion.
From Lagos to Ibadan, Shagamu to Ore, Ore to Benin, Benin to Auchi, Auchi to Lokoja, Lokoja to Abuja, Warri to Port Harcourt, Port Harcourt to Oron, Enugu to Onistsha, Enugu to Port Harcourt and the list is endless. The road construction taking place in Nigeria is unprecedented and as Abagworo rightly said, if you at least dont want to attribute it to Jonathan, you canat least admit its a result of excess cash from oil sales as well as high oil output.

In States controlled by both APC and PDP, the bar has been raised. People insult Uduaghan of Delta State, but the amount of works he has done across the state would have been the top 3 performaces if he were in the 99-07 class of governors.

The reason for the improved performance is simple. Power is shifting fast to the people. Votes now count so politicians are more careful. Your biggest currency is performance. If you dont perform, you cannot even rig successfully. Go and ask Ohakim.
The biggest achievement of President Jonathan is allowing us to freely choose our leaders. In OBJ's era, it didn't matter whether or not you performed. You just needed the right Godfathers and you will be returned. To think Lucky Igbinedion ruled Edo State for 8 years without a single road contruction. Not one to his name!! Wouldn't happen now in even the worst performing state.[/s]

Omo_Tier1:
I only challenged you and your likes to name the roads began and completed by GEJ.

He didn't ask you for all the run around and dodging essay, just pick up the challenge.

To start with, your corrupt, lazy and incompetent Jonathan is incapable of such acts and if I might add, change the topic to FG = N billions for cell phones to farmers and wasting billions on militants and terrorists..

Why do you people make comparisons between ordinary state with less than $4 billion and your FG with huge Oil money and resources?

Division in your eyes does not mean divion in this context.

Justice Elvis Chukwu, of the Federal high court Abuja , on October 18, 2013 ruled that there was no division in PDP and restrained the new PDP from using the colour and logo of the PDP under the chair of Alhaji Bamanga Tukur. The Court also ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to refrain from recognising, dealing and relating with the new PDP.

Thereafter INEC ruled that there was only 1 recognized PDP. What do you make of this?

lmao @ Justice Elvis Chukwu,

Btw, you are chasing shadows with your pointless rants. PDP is gone and what ever remaining crumbs is destined for SE regional merger with AGPA.

Dark Lover:

so u really meant that all he listed was rubbish??

It wasn't only rubbish, it was pointless and redundant simply because providing for traditional rulers as demanded by the constitution is equally important like any other state responsibility, unless doing your job as demanded by the constitution is against the law.

Just wondering who lacks social studies or civic education here.

I still maintain that you lack social studies and civic education since you are still confused about the government's constitutional obligations and our traditional institutions..

well I'm still maintaining my position that the appropriation is misplaced

All you are maintaining is cluelessness and ignorance because saying a governmental function dictated by the constitution is misplaced sounds very ignorant and uneducated.

You might want to assert that giving official cars to government employees is misplaced...

they already have fleet of exotic rides.

You know this because you bought the cars for them? You drove around the state counting each traditional ruler's cars or you just pulled that out of your assss? Please let us know where that came from.

The money should have been used to support the ones already budgeted for each community to build better infrastructure. There's huge infrastructures deficit in the country mi amigo.

Until you get rid of the constitution and also assert that governments should stop giving official cars to public officials, you are just spewing ignorance and ill informed BS.

Dark Lover:

What Papabrowne has said is pretty right, the money would have been used to build better infrastructures for Lagosians , and I'll call it a misplaced budget, and Agbameta you shouldn't have criticise him because he actually said the truth, we all know how Nigerians including the lagosians are strapped of basic amenities. I am a Nigerian from western part of the country, Ekiti state precisely , my family had lived in Lagos before moving to Abuja so I know Much about the suffering of Lagosians, the money allocated for this woulda gone along way achieving our dream mega city, besides the traditional rulers all have their respective ride/s. I think we should put away our tribal/ethnic and religion sentiment away when commenting/contributing on topics here, I've seen that a lot. Eko o ni baje o. Nigeria a kuku dara.

Either they didn't teach you and papabrown social studies and civic education or they did and you just didn't pay attention.

Traditional rulers are state officials, the state appoints them, the state pays their salaries and the constitution demands that the state provide for them and this is equally important like all the other stuff he spewed.

If you don't want your state buying cars for traditional rulers, then amend your constitution or just abolish all traditional institutions including your culture and heritage.

Criticizing the governor for doing his job as demanded by the constitution sounds misguided, ill informed and ignorant.

And who says the state is not doing all the rubbish he listed? You people need to find some other nonsense to cry about or even go pick up some social studies or civic education book to read.
