Self-acclaimed sex therapist Hauwa Mohammed aka Jaruma on Friday bragged that her connections are working, Igbere TV reports.
The kayamata seller said this in an Instagram post moment after she was granted bail.
In a video she shared, Jaruma said: “Everything that just happens I just take it as life happens but the real part I was worried about was some people were now saying ‘Oh I thought she said she is the president’s girlfriend! oh I thought she said she has connections. She said her products can protect her see am. Why didn’t her product work on the Nigerian police?”
“Guys Jaruma’s products are working just fine. My connections are working just fine. I was here on Monday and I was out on Tuesday. I know you guys don’t believe so I had to make a video put it on WhatsApp. The connections and the products are working just fine.”
Jaruma was arraigned before an Upper Area Court in the Zuba area of Abuja on Monday for alleged defamation of character, false news publication and intimidation of actress Regina Daniels’ husband Ned Nwoko, on social media.
Nwoko had accused Jaruma of publishing falsehoods on her Instagram page against him and his wife.
Ruling on her bail application, Justice Ismaila Abdullahi said her remand should not be seen as a punishment to the defendant.
He, however, warned all parties involved in the matter to refrain from actions that could be considered prejudicial to the case.
He said, “The court did not remand her in custody as a punitive means to penalise the defendant but to make her present and answer to her case. By this, I shall be quick to point out that the charge against the defendant is bailable but not ordinary.
“I hereby grant her bail on the following conditions: That the surety must be a level 12 civil servant working within the FCT. Also, all the parties involved in the case should stay from anything that would be prejudicial to the case.”
Actress Mercy Aigbe has continued to speak up on the ongoing drama surrounding her marriage to movie producer Kazim Adeoti, Igbere TV reports.
In a new Instagram post on Thursday, the 44-year-old slammed blogger Gist Lover for accusing her of snatching Kazim from his wife Funsho Adeoti. Gist Lover went further to drag Mercy’s mother into the fight calling her a husband snatcher.
Angered by the statement, Mercy sent a message to the blogger stating that she was unbothered about the lies told to paint her as a demon.
She also warned the blogger to stop dragging her mother and her children into the matter.

Singer Faze has announced the death of his mother eleven months after his twin sister died, Igbere TV reports.
The ‘Originality’ singer made the announcement in an Instagram post on Monday.
With a heavy heart, he wrote: “I don’t know how to express what’s in my heart. My heart is heavy. My Mum passed on last Wednesday, January 12th. This, after my twin sister left this world last year.
“I don’t know why so many good people I love are leaving but I just hold on to the thought that God is God and he knows what he is doing. It is well. I just thank Him that she lived a full life and is done with the troubles of this world. Rest well Mummy.”

Actress Rita Edochie has expressed her disappointment over some Igbos she accused of denying their association with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Igbere TV reports.
The actress lamented in an Instagram post on Friday.
In a video she shared on the social media platform, a woman, whom she referred to as ‘Fulani’, was heard countering the claim that she belongs to the ethnic group.
Rita, who did not provide any proof that the woman was actually a northerner, compared her denial to some Igbos who have disassociated themselves from Biafra.
“Have you seen what hunger can cause? She has denied being a Fulani woman because of hunger.
“The same way some of our Igbo brothers and sisters are denying Biafra because of what they stand to benefit today without thinking of what happens tomorrow but the good thing is, their selfishness is affecting all of us,” she wrote.
Rita has been very vocal and upfront about her support for Biafra.
Comedian-actor Mr Macaroni has said that he learned the act of generosity from businessman Adedeji Adeleke, the father of pop singer Davido, Igbere TV reports.
The 28-year-old made this known in a Twitter post on Wednesday.
According to him, the reason he does not get upset over some issues is that he learned the act of simplicity, humility and love from Mr Adeleke.

An 11-year-old girl who was impregnated by her aunt's husband has been abandoned in her village Orokam, Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue state to fend for herself and her unborn child, Igbere TV reports.
It would be recalled that the suspect, a security guard at the Benue State University, Joseph Adoyi, was arrested by the police few months ago.
The victim was said to have been living with Adoyi and his wife at the North Bank area of Makurdi since she was three years old.
Adoyi was said to have threatened to kill the victim if she told her aunt.
One Andrew Obeya Adaudu took to Facebook on Wednesday, December 29, to share the plight of the minor and seek help for her as she is almost due for delivery.
He wrote;
"Sometime this year, this little girl of 11 years (Victoria) was allegedly impregnated by her aunt's husband in Makurdi and she was sent home to fend for herself and her unborn child
"She comes from a humble background and can barely feed herself or attend any antenatal services. She hasn't been able to visit any clinic since all these started (except when it was initially detected in Makurdi)
"From the look of things, she will be due any time soon? There is just no way this girl can have a normal delivery since her features aren't fully developed to go through that stress
"She is from Orokam, Ogbadibo local government of Benue state. I have resolved not to tow the path of the law, since they had gone through that route and it does not look like the Police and the relevant agencies are willing to cooperate with her parents, and I currently do not have the luxury of time to be whipping the law around.
"How do we support this little girl to have a safe delivery, rehabilitation and subsequently return to school.”

Pop star Modupe Oyeyemi aka Mo’cheddah on Tuesday recounted the first 25 weeks of her pregnancy, saying she felt like dying because she could not bear the pains, Igbere TV reports.
In a lengthy post on Instagram, the 31-year-old narrated all she went through during her first second trimester saying that nothing is more challenging than carrying a child
According to her, she was bedridden for two weeks and could barely open her eyes or talk.
“I had hyperemesis gravidarum for the first 25 weeks of pregnancy, and when I tell you, it is the hardest thing I have ever experienced in life, and I doubt any-other thing can be more challenging or more painful. I was bedridden for weeks and could barely open my eyes and talk. All I could do was breathe.
“I threw up 10-15 times a day. I won’t call it throwing up; it was an exorcism where I felt like a sick volcano needed to erupt way too often. I couldn’t eat or drink anything.
“All through, I have had the worst heartburn, indigestion, constipation, acid reflux coupled with the worst pelvic pain that started at 6weeks ( cue in my voice over artist voice).”
“How did something I wanted so much become the most painful experience of my life? I cried a lot from the pain, and I cried because I felt terrible for feeling so awful because I just couldn’t see past the pain.
“I know it can’t be easy growing life, but why did I feel like I was dying and getting the life sucked out of me. Why didn’t I know what was wrong with me? Why do they call it morning sickness when you feel sick every damn second.
“Why is my Dr telling me this is normal! It’s not normal! Why do I see new mums write how happy they are and how it is the most beautiful experience when I Don’t feel that way.”

Hon Nkole Extols Kalu's Statesmanship, Tasks Abians To Support Ikpeazu (Photos)
A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Uko Nkole has lauded the Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for his statesmanship at maintaining a bipartisan synergy among members of the ruling and opposition parties both at the state and federal level.
Nkole, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member disclosed this on Monday during a condolence visit by the Chief Whip and the Senator representing Abia North, Senator Kalu at his country home in Ozu Abam over the demise of his father, Chief Emmanuel Ndukwe Nkole.
Igbere TV recalls that the Late Emmanuel Nkole, was laid to rest on 19th December, 2020. He died at age 79. Kalu on the other hand is an All Progressive Congress (APC) senator.
According to Nkole representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency at the green chambers, the bipartisan relationship has resulted to peace and unity being enjoyed in Abia state.
Nkole disclosed that the synergy led to the approval by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) to award the rehabilitation of Route F107 Umuahia-Bende-Ozu Abam-Ohafia road and the recent appropriation of funds in the 2021 budget for the rehabilitation of Umuahia-Uzuakoli-Alayi Igbere-Abiriba-Ohafia road.
He said, “In few times I have met you, Your Excellency, Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, you have remained a strong and vocal supporter to our Governor. I have never neither heard nor read where you said anything against the leadership of the State and I want to urge everyone to emulate your style of leadership. Abia is our State and we must continue to project it positively.
“Public office is not for self-aggrandizement and popularity show but selfless service to the people. Our synergy in the National Assembly is bringing a lot of good tidings to our people.Your good works is a credit to the State, the Governor and Abians and I am happy that South East Governors are coming together despite their party affiliations.”
Earlier in his address, Senator Kalu while conveying his condolence message described Late Nkole as a man with distinct qualities and urged the Nkole's family to take solace in the fact that their Late father had gone to rest among the Saints.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of his gentle soul and fortitude for the family to bear the irreparable loss.
The two-time former Governor of Abia State while thanking Nkole for the warm hospitality accorded to them, further described him as a friendly and experienced federal lawmaker who has made an impact across the federal constituency through his effective and quality representation at the National Assembly.
The Senate Chief Whip specially commended Nkole for the enormous supports he has given to the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu and urged him never to relent in showing solidarity to the Governor adding that Ikpeazu as the political leader of the State deserves the unflinching supports of Abians.

Dr. Okonjo-Iweala, a former managing director of the World Bank, was nominated for her brilliancy, consistency, contributions to the society, humanity and nation building, strong commitment and impact which is felt all over the world, influencing both the youth and the girl-child positively.
According to Nigerians who massively voted the Nigerian-born economist and international development expert, the choice of the World Trade Organization Director-General hopeful was for raising the bar and becoming one of Africa's most celebrated women in the world.
Okonjo-Iweala was named by Fortune Magazine as one of the 50 greatest world leaders in 2015, and by Forbes for five consecutive years as one of the 100 most powerful women in the world. In 2014, Dr Okonjo-Iweala was recognised by Time Magazine as one of the world’s 100 most influential people.
She sits on the Boards of Standard Chartered Bank, Twitter, Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI), and the African Risk Capacity (ARC). Okonjo-Iweala had a 25-year career at the World Bank as a development economist, rising to the No. 2 position of Managing Director.
As Managing Director, she had oversight responsibility for the World Bank’s $81 billion operational portfolio in Africa, South Asia, Europe and Central Asia. Okonjo-Iweala spearheaded several World Bank initiatives to assist low-income countries during the 2008 – 2009, food crises, and later during the financial crisis. In 2010, she was Chair of the IDA replenishment, the World Bank’s successful drive to raise $49.3 billion in grants and low interest credit for the poorest countries in the world.
This year’s Award event would be one of the most outstanding and credible award ceremonies in Nigeria, as personalities in the Presidency, State Governments, National and State Assemblies, Economic Industries, Humanitarian Affairs and Human Activism are expected to grace the occasion.

Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole says he still maintains his earlier position on accepting the dissolution of the Party's National Working Committee (NWC) under him.
He was reacting to the report of a fresh legal suit challenging the dissolution of the NWC by President Muhammadu Buhari. The suit was filled by a member of the dissolved NWC, Hillard Eta, an ally of Oshiomhole and former acting national chairman of the Party.
Rumours were rife that Oshiomhole, a former governor of Edo State, may be using Eta as proxy to fight his way back to Office as the ruling party National Chairman, having been out of power for long.
But Oshiomhole, in a statement obtained by Igbere TV on Monday, entitled: "My Position Has Not Changed", said the court documents were clear enough on who the plaintiff was and shouldn't be dragged into the legal battle.
He lamented the attributions made by the media to the effect that the plaintiff is an “ally of Oshiomhole” or an “associate of Oshiomhole”, insisting he had nothing to do with the case.
Oshiomhole maintained that he already left as national chairman of the party and wouldn't return to office even if a court reverses the dissolution or declares same as illegal, having accepted his fate earlier.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the 21-member NWC under my leadership largely worked cohesively and harmoniously. The only exceptions were those of the three members used by forces desperate to take control of the party. They contrived a crisis and abused the judicial process to undermine the constitution and integrity of the party. The majority of 18 members worked as a team and not as allies or loyalists of any body. When the National Executive Committee (NEC) in its wisdom dissolved the NWC, I immediately announced publicly that I accepted the decision, regardless of its illegality or otherwise, as it affected my position as national chairman,” he said.
“I was the only one at the press conference where I made the announcement for personal reasons. The reason, of course, was that some of my colleagues in the dissolved NWC obviously didn’t share my position not to contest the dissolution in court. I can only accept responsibility for my own decision.
“Subsequently, I instructed my lawyers to withdraw the suits challenging my purported suspension from office by the proxies of those bent on removing me as chairman.
“It is, therefore, the height of mischief to insinuate, as it is being done in some quarters, that I would publicly accept the decision and later surreptitiously seek to contest it in court. That chapter of my political life is closed. Even if another NEC decision or a court order reverses the dissolution, with utmost humility I will decline to return as APC chairman.”
Oshiomhole said he was proud of the accomplishments of the NWC under his leadership and grateful to the “principled 18 members” who worked as a team committed to the cause of the party, adding that he bear no grudges against any one for the manner of his removal.
Instead, the former APC national chairman said he was grateful and loyal to President Muhammadu Buhari who he said encouraged him to contest the chairmanship of the party. “I am also very much appreciative of the support of President Buhari who encouraged me to assert the authority of the party without fear or favour,” he added.
“Indeed, I would not have lasted as long as I did as national chairman but for the President’s and support for me. I will continue to support his administration to succeed in serving the common good of the people of Nigeria.”
