mamaken:
Why should your girl flirt online if she claims to love u? this got nothing to do with trust.

if a boy or a girl is in a relationship, but still hunt for others ( even "only" online ) that means something is wrong in the relationship.

perhaps he doesn give her the attention she wish, perhaps she doesnt give him the sexual performance he wish, perhaps both of them r addicted to flirting.
and for men, well thats another topic. everybody knows that if a guy is a playah, not even the so called "perfect" lady can change him.

Online flirting is NonSense! thats my personal opinion
thank you, i didn't know there are still some ladies who call black, black and white, white.

Outstrip:
High chief you responded exactly like I thought you would. I will respond because you actually are trying to help me see where you are coming from. Let's take the first highlighted part of your quote

You probably should not be married to someone who hates all your friends. All is the key word here. I understand you not liking one or two of your spouses friends but the idea of giving up every single one of your friends is ridiculous especially when these were friends before the marriage. If this friend is truly a problem for the marriage then any good spouse will give up a friendship that is actively destroying their marriage. This is not the case here. The writer is simply saying that those friendships should still matter because you are still an individual even though you are married. Your example of a love-peddler as a friend is stretching it because you know and I know that the writer did not in anyway mean that it is okay to have those kinds of friends. If you need to get out without your husband and just hang out with the girls you shouldn't feel guilty about it. You can hang out without dragging your husband with you

Walking away.
Frankly I am surprised that you have an issue with this because you even see the examples the writer gave. These are serious issues. He did not say just quit your job for the heck of it even though you know that it will cripple the family. The writer did not say walk away from a good and thriving relationship. So why do you imply that the writer is not talking about serious issues.

Personal Style
Personal style is just that; personal because pertains to the individual. A woman should be able to wear what she wants without anyone telling her that the style is not good enough. While there are dress codefor example what to wear to work or an event, if you feel comfortable in it and believe it looks good on you then you’re entitled to wear it and be happy without someone else telling you otherwise

You cannot wear something meant for prostitution and expect your man to clap hands for you. My woman cannot follow me to certain places without dressing in the right way. e.g. going for a meeting with business partners/colleagues, remember that saying "You are addressed the way you are dressed". Secondly, I cannot have friends in the house and my woman runs around the house with her transparent pyjamas, i will ask her to go change it.

The writers quote is in italics and yours in bold.
Is it is obvious that the writer did not say "if he does not like your style" but that he might feel "the style is not good enough". That is an issue. Your spouse should always be good enough. My husband is a very technical guy and he will wear a shirt from walmart and tuck it into a pair of "untailored" pants and wear that to a formal wedding if I close my eyes. If he insists on wearing that I don't have a choice but it is not a crime. If he was sagging those pants or unbuttons his shirt to his belly button when we are maybe going to church and insist on being indecent then there might be trouble. I don't think the writer was saying go and dress like a love-peddler. It was more like your style is good enough.

Basically I am sure you get the idea now. Sorry I responded so late. I just got caught up with work. To be honest I don't think you are irrational by the way you analyzed it but I know that a lot of Nigerian men will immediately jump on it as a women empowerment thing and that actually  scares some men off
Why will there be trouble, are you sure that is not his style?  grin
When Justice Dan Abutu sentenced former Oceanic Bank Plc managing director, Mrs. Cecilia Ibru to 18 months imprisonment last Friday, after the accused pleaded guilty to three of the 25 charges brought against her, he made a pronouncement: The convict should be taken to prison and after two hours she should be taken to hospital.

https://www.sunnewsonline.com/images/cecelia.gif

Saturday Sun gathered that as the judged order, Mrs. Ibru was taken to Kirikiri Prison, Lagos from the court premises, after the judgment and thereafter moved to what would serve as her prison cell for now, after she was book as a prison inmate. The former bank chief executive was moved to an elite medical centre, Reddington Hospital, Victoria Island, Lagos, where he is receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment. She would remain in the hospital until doctors certify her fit to be discharged.

The Reddington Multi-special Hospital, located at 12, Idowu Martins Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, is a newly built nine-floor medical centre. It is on the site of the previous renowned Cardiac Centre and provides fully comprehensive tertiary hospital solution in all medical fields.
Investigation revealed that a standard ward in the hospital goes for between N30, 000 and N90, 000 per night. One of these rooms, which the accounts officer referred to as Josephine Ward, goes for as low as N30, 000, for Nigerians, while the prestigious Royal Suite goes for N90, 000 per night.
Checks at the hospital revealed that the hospital is well organised and has the elite and rich Nigerians as clients. To show how classy the hospital is, visitors are thoroughly screened before being allowed access.

Owing to Mrs. Ibru’s presence, security has been beefed up, thereby making entry into the hospital difficult. Those who are deemed not to have genuine businesses into the hospital, are denied entry. Those who are visiting patients are only allowed in if clearance is got from persons on admission.
It was gathered that Mrs. Ibru is in one of the Royal Suites in the hospital and being watched by prison warden. The warden restricts access to her in the hospital, except to doctors from Reddington Hospital and the prison. Before any visitor is allowed access to her room, such a person has to write to the prison and if approval is given, he/she would see the prisoner.

When Saturday Sun sought to know why Mrs. Ibru is still in hospital, one week after her sentence, the Lagos Prison Command Public Relations Officer, Ope Fatinikun, said that the law permits that. According to him, the prisons activities are guided by the law, adding that the prison was only obeying the instruction of the judge that the convict should be taken to hospital.

He, however, said that the Lagos Prison has good medical facility to take care of prison inmates. “We have medical professionals, whose duty is to ensure that all medical issues are promptly attended to. We are under the law and answerable to the law. The judgment said that she should be kept in that hospital. We had no choice but to obey. When she was convicted, the prison officials did their job while she was moved to the hospital immediately,” he said.
The prison PRO also said that now that Mrs. Ibru is on admission, the hospital has become an extension of the prison.

He said: “The truth is that prison is an extension of the prison; over there our wardens are there to ensure that she is restricted within the confinement of the prison. There are also security men to ensure compliance and no one can have access to her except through us. The person is expected to apply and if she gives her consent, the visitor would be granted access. We hope that as soon as she recovers, she would be transferred female prison.”

Since the hospital is an extension of the prison, does it mean that the prison authorities would pick the bills?
Fatinikun explained that the Nigerian prison would not pay a dime since Mrs. Ibru was not admitted in the prison hospital.
How would the prison know when Mrs. Ibru is fit to leave the hospital? Fatinikun said that wardens and doctors are monitoring he progress.
“We have our prison warden in the room with her and our team of doctors do visit her to certify when she can be transferred to the female prison,” he said.
A prison warden, who pleaded anonymous, told Saturday Sun that the former bank chief’s stay in hospital is bad news for the prison, as her presence within the confine of the prison could cause the improvement of the facilities.

She said: “It would have been a good one at least for the female prisons. The male prison has received a lot of changes because of the category of inmates that were convicted. The female inmates were rejoicing when they heard that Ibru was convicted but all got sad when the news came that she might not see the four walls of the prison. It is really unfortunate.”

Ibru had pleaded guilty to three of 25 count charges of fraud and mismanagement. She was sentenced to six months imprisonment on each of the charge, which would run concurrently.
In sentencing her, Justice Abutu ordered that the former bank chief should forfeit property and assets valued at N199 billion.
This can not happen in Nigeria. Few years back when a house collapsed on Broad street Lagos many people were not rescued including a young lady whose case was very pathetic. while still trapped in the collapsed building for days she kept making calls to her friends and family members unfortunately the place was cordoned by security personnel and she died in there with out getting any help, this is Nigeria
It's quite pathetic but some people in Nigeria who have not experienced or witnessed such will call it bashing when faced with the truth.

It's really sad when you read comments made by Nigerians who refuse to see past there own negativity and would rather choose to ''orally self-service" and make blind comments lacking in substance or insight. I refuse to believe that my beautiful country would abandon 33 people trapped in a mine and declare them national heroes the next day. I also refuse to accept that Nigerians (albeit self - serving most times) would pretend that the 33 people do not exist, cover up the hole and walk away or be tribalistic in the face of calamity . Chile is not half as rich as Nigeria and they were able to turn a mining disaster into a PR success. (Yes, i said PR success). Further more, Chileans weren't the only country involved in the rescue. Yes, the Chilean Navy designed the capsule but they had help from NASA amongst other countries or people. If this were a Nigerian disaster, i concede that there would be a lot of confusion around the scene but i also want to believe that in the midst of the confusion, we (Nigerians) would have been able to solve our problems and rescue the people. A Russian submarine crashed into the Barents Sea a few years ago (118 people died) - they had time to save the people and also refused help from the Norwegian and British Navy - but still yet the sailors died - can anyone offer an explanation.

We, Nigerians need to be less critical about our country - yes, Nigeria is corrupt (which country isn't?), the leadership sucks (most third world countries have that), Law enforcement is weak (still a 3rd world country), basic amenities are lacking (corruption and self servitude) and don't even get me started on the Super Eagles  - but the midst of the bad international press we get everyday, can't we all just step back and say We are proud to be Nigerians. I was once asked why i defend Nigeria. Nigeria is my home (no home like her) - i am free when i holiday in Nigeria (well, once i escape from the Jungles of Lagos) - no other freedom i can get anywhere else because i am Nigerian, i bleed green and white and even if i decide to take up another citizenship tomorrow, i was first Nigerian, i still have ties to Nigeria and i can never be anything but Nigerian.
are the critics stopping your progress?

Russia refused because it has to do with security and if you have been following international politics, it is very clear that Russia will never accept such assistance at that time from US or it's NATO allies.

toytola:
Chile is not half as rich as Nigeria and they were able to turn a mining disaster into a PR success. (Yes, i said PR success).
Was it the ordinary Chileans that turned it or the Government?  The government did it's best and the citizens supported seeing what the government was doing.  and the success is to the government i.e. president, mining minister and health minister.

And note; as soon as the incident happened it was all over, Nigeria would have blocked all media reports because it will portray it in bad light.

Government officials, i.e. ministers, senators, etc would have been struggling for the contract through their cronies.

those not interested in the contract would have been fighting for their own cuts - every opportunity is well utilized in making money.  grin

Why can't your nigerian government turn the flooding issue to a PR success.
Or the Bakassi refugees problems to a PR success.

toytola:
i bleed green and white and even if i decide to take up another citizenship tomorrow, i was first Nigerian, i still have ties to Nigeria and i can never be anything but Nigerian.
only people who are not happy with their countries take up another citizenship.

For example, are we saying if PDP could not present a candidate for 2011 poll becoz of their own constitutional crises, that there wont be an election, or we can't vote in another candidate from another party?

If not for foolishness tell me how anyone could argue that an agreement made by jst one party will affect the general election which many parties Will be involve. Are we the voters even supposed to be concerned abt how PDP chooses their flagbearer.  If we have any thing like credible election in Nigeria why would the whole Nation be worried abt who ever emerges from PDP out of their silly zoning madness. If we are sure of free and fair election in 2011, PDP can go to hell with their zoning madness. Re: Nigerian Embassy In Rome Is Under Attack.

A group of Nigerians under the umbrella of Nigerian youth movement (N.Y.M) has concluded plans  to attack and kill the workers of Nigerian embassy in Rome,  based on allegation of corruption. the Nigerians,  who said that the embassy is a disgrace to Nigerian nation and citizens all over the world, said citizens of Nigeria will feel better without the embassy.
many Nigerians in Italy are complaining on how the embassy has been using every corrupt instrument to make illegal money, more especially in the booking of appointment for new electronic passport, many Nigerians has said that the embassy official's telephone number is not reachable since 3 months ago, simple because the officials want to be selling appointment at the rate of 100 euro each.
the Nigerian youth movement which base is in bologna, northen Italy, has made all the necessary arrangement on how the attack will take place because according to them "it is only through this attack that every body will hear our voice, we have written to the ambassador and the Nigerian foreign affairs to know if we can get justice, but we only see things changing from bad to worse and the embassy is busy selling appointment at the rate of 100 euro each in the name of emergency appointment while those that are not willing to pay will have to wait for a year before coming to the embassy for interview"
the heartless embassy officials are making thousands of euro every day plus their monthly saraly. without minding that a lot of Nigerians are presently unemployed because of the global economics crisis. "some find it difficult to pay their rent. and the only help we can get from our embassy is to be stealing our money through appointment, NO, we can live without the embassy" said N.Y.M.
