Who is this Enegito, how can someone be so mannerless, @ Op nice work am learning a lot, permit me to chip in something, one of my coursemates from Kwara, Mohammed by name, always insists his fulani despite the fact that he can speak yoruba fluently, the funniest part is that he even resembles one physically....so i think the first step is to look for a means to enlighten the kwara people on thier yoruba roots and on the need to appreciate and be proud of thier roots.

@ rabzy, i beg to differ, am not speaking as an ignorant southerner who has never been to the north but as a southern who spent over 15 years in the north, including childhood.....before you see 1 Gambo or Kande you could have counted over 20 Fatima or Aisha or Maryam, before you see 1 Dan Asabe or Danlitti you could have counted over 15 Isa, Mohammed, Jibril, Abubakar etc.

@ Rabzy01 These are names of popular politicians and they are not so common, i mean does the average hausa child from those states i mentioned have a tribal name?

Core hausas, i mean those from kano, katsina, kaduna etc dont usually bear tribal names, as for other tribes like Fulani, Kanuri, Bra, mende,...i know they are usually proud of bearing thier tribal names
