However, most landlord/caretaker usually use any date before 15th day of the month to represent a full calendar month or you wait till the end of the month and rent the house (provided other serious person won't have taken it). Also, you can negotiate with the landlord/caretaker to use the following month to calculate your rent at the point of making payment and confirm same from your receipt. This will prevent you this calculation which you can't win except through negotiation.

What I will advice you do, get a lawyer, if they want you to leave the house, a notice windows of 6months is ok to enable you prepare and source for another accommodation. Talk to the landlord.
