The last time I checked, there is still freedom of speech in this Country. They have not said anything wrong to warrant this level of intimidation and harassment. It is the work of the police to make arrest if need be and not the military. This is a clear sign of gross abuse of power.
This should not happen in a democracy. The soldiers should be withdrawn immediately.

Why is BAT afraid of security personnel?. The soldiers did not talk to him or even knock on his gate. Is he the only one living in Bourdillon? He has no reason to be afraid unless he has a skeleton in his cupboard.

Politics / Re: Buhari Will Lead Military To Fight Boko Haram – Osinbajo by Agukagu(m): 1:08pm On Jan 27, 2015
I am now convinced that GMB/Osinbajo are even more clueless than GEJ. The solution to the insecurity in North East is not by engaging the Boko boys in the battle feild. The boys are just pawns on the chess board. To curtail the excesses of the boys, you need to strike the shepherd and the sheep will scatter. The best strategy in dealing with BH is cutting off the financiers from sources of fund. Take the fight to the root and the branches will wither away. Eg. Boko boys could not have kidnapped 250 girls and keep them in custody for long if they do not have ample fund to camp such a population. The operation and maintenance cost of their military hardware is an evidence that they are well funded.

The promise that the Buhari-led government would place jobless and poor Nigerians on monthly stipends of N5,000 and N7,000 respectively is silly and absolutely unsustainable. One can see that GMB is out of touch with economic indices. As put by Prof. Soludo, I did not expect much from the current government, but I must confess that I expected APC as a party aspiring to take over from PDP to come up with a knock-out punch. Evidently, from what we have read from the various versions of its manifesto as well as the depth of promises being made, APC does not seem that it has a better offer. GEJ remains the only presidential option in 2015

Surely sanusi will outlive the fool in relevance no doubt.

You can make your point without being abusive. In your short post of two sentences you have used several abusive adjectives (daft, drunkard, outlive, fool) on your president and perhaps your elder.

The report did not add that Buhari's IQ was the best in the world, he is the most brilliant person that ever attended US War college, his military tactics is better than that of a field marshal, only him can engage US Army etc.

If you believe this you will believe anything. The truth is that GMB lacked the intellectual capacity to go through a regular course in US War College. His Stints in international military institutions must be on special courses with low entry barrier. GMB joined the army when military in Nigeria is for block heads and school dropouts. His being from northern extraction implies that he could be admitted into NA with waiver.

Education / Re: Why Are Nigerian Lecturers Wicked To Their Students? (Photo) by Agukagu(m): 1:40am On Jan 11, 2015
This kind of result happens because admission is longer by merit. These days people who have no business being school get admission to the detriment of real bookworms. During our school days in the 80s, the lecturer will be queried if up to 40% of the class fail his course. Those are the days when university material (prospective students) are known from primary school.

So by your standard, it is GEJ that is literate. The fact that you don't know Buhari is more informed, educated and intelligent than your GEJ who could not take ordinary decision that a primary six pupil will take without blinking shows you know nothing about him and you are just acting on what you were told. I noticed your arguments are based on sentiments and since you are not aware that Buhari is well learned, I assume you are one of those kids that were born after the 80's with biased mind against the North. So you will never see anything good in Buhari no matter how evident it is to you that he's the better of the two candidates. Let me not waste my precious time on you. It is early Tuesday morning here in the States.

For your information I was already in the university during Buhari's brutal regime. I am therefore eminently qualified to give a sound assessment of GMB. Buhari was an iron fisted dictator that trampled on the rights of Nigerians. I am absolutely sure that he can not tolerate half of the insults meted to GEJ. Unfortunately many Nigerians sees brutality as strength but to me GMB was a weakling. The principal actor in his draconian government was brigadier Tunde Idiagbon. When IBB struck in 1985 coupe GMB was like a lame duck because Idiagbon was away to mecca on pilgrimage.

I am appalled that you do not know that the north leverages on quota system to the detriment of qualified Nigerians in virtually all federal establishments. Buhari joined the army when military is for school drop outs and never do wells. I will not be shocked if he does not have O'level certificate because even in my university days in the 80s some northern universities admit northerners with mock certificate on condition that they pass their GCE before graduating. Nigerian army those days are for blockheads especially the northerners who were admitted on quota basis. Please spare me the story GMBs intelligence because he doesn't have it. You live in USA, so you understand the level of intelligence in the military over there but that is not the case in Nigeria

On another hand I have a low opinion of anyone disparaging a PhD degree because I know the level of effort needed for a post graduate study. GMB because of his low literacy level will lack the capacity to understand economic indices and intricate diplomacies. Did you hear that he said he will stabilize oil price. You can not give what you do not have. Besides why should APC be fielding a senile candidate when there are vibrant people that can fit in the present dispensation. When I am in my 70s I will like to take the back stage while my son takes charge. Presently my parents look up to me for leadership. The change we yearn for is not in the past because the past can not be better than the future. You cannot look forward while still looking backward. GMB's past era is entirely a different setting and can not fit in democratic setting.

But he has ruled you and your parents before and then naira was very strong against the dollar, we had three functioning refineries, zero tolerance for corruption and Nigeria was not divided as it is now.

I want an 'illiterate' with literate brain and not 'literate' with illiterate brain

Can you see your life. GMB ruled your parents, ruled you and now wants to rule your children and perhaps your grand children. If APC is hell bent on returning power to the north why not get us an educated candidate. Why field a senile illiterate to lead a country where there are millions of graduates. The rot in our government establishments like PHCN, Railways, NPA, NNPC Customs, Army etc is as a result of having unqualified northerners manning the saddle. When the former COAS tried re-jigging the army to be merit driven he was accused of pursuing Igbo agenda. In other words Nigerian agenda is to have unqualified northerners at the helm of affairs. I am embarrassed that someone without O'Level certificate can become a general in Nigerian Army. Why won't the country be moving from bad to worse when we keep condoning mediocrity. It is time we do away with quota system and run a merit driven system. GEJ is not the best for Nigeria but the opposition is not giving us a credible alternative. GEJ till GMB goes to school.

At 73, GMB should quit active politics and leave the stage for the younger generation. GMB ruled my father in the 70s, ruled me in the 80s and now wants to rule my children. Let us say no to military mafia that want us to believe that it is only men in arms that can rule Nigeria and also say no to born to rule cabals that has mismanaged Nigeria for long.

Buhari and Prof. are really old. They can not fit into the present digital age. The change we need is not in the past because the past can not be better than the future. It is not feasible to look forward while still looking backward. We need new breeds to bring the change we desire. Indeed no problem can be solved at the same level of consciousness that created it. We need to move away from the military mafiaso and born to rule cabals that has been hanging to power since our independence. I wish APC fronted their new breeds like Fashola, Rochas, Amaechi etc.

Sometimes, we need to put ourselves in someone else's shoe. What of if the raped victim is your daughter; your sister; your wife or your mother? #FoodForThought

In Nigeria all it takes to defame someone is just an allegation. The fact remains that there are 3 sides to every story.
1. Her side
2. His side and
3. The truth

We have only heard one side of the story and people are jumping to conclusion. I have come to know that victims always narrate their story to malign the other party while feigning innocence. Until I hear the other sides of the story, I take her's with a pinch of salt.
