The responsible party for this project should be the engineers that designed such a project and the engineering department of the civil service and not necessarily the politicians who are not experts in construction.
In this age and time when more serious nations are building tunnels across countries and even continents, just to join two road has become a problem. Naija, I de fear una

Please stop defending the indefensible. Rochas is averse to using professionals. He is known for using quacks and for delivering poorly constructed structures. Imo state has a significant number of qualified civil engineering professionals that can deliver world class facilities but Rochas will never involve them. All his projects are carried out without environmental and social impact analysis. He is more interested in media razzmatazz that gives him political mileage than engaging in people oriented projects.

Poverty is indeed a disease and I refuse to be poor... The lunacy displayed by this man is as a result of joblessness and idleness

I'm yet to see gainfully employed person who will be foolish enough to scribble the name of his dog on its body and will be scrolling around with it on the street

A man that has 3 dogs to feed certainly could not be poor.

He continued, “Abada was happy I paid for his drinks, and he assured me he would introduce me to a girl."

Very funny story. They got so drunk and the he-goat Abada decided to give out his grandchild. However, if Ugwu did not return to Lagos, he would and could live a normal married life with this child. These things happen in almost all villages in Africa. These 'Child rights' campaigners should take their campaigns to the rural areas. Not sit in the comfort of their city homes collecting aid from local and foreign donors. Ugwu and Nneka would be a married couple if he chose to remain in the

OP your post is a poor attempt at tribal bashing. The photo you displayed can not can not be a that of a 37year old man besides Igbos are not known for child marriages. Your cock and bull story made front page because of NL's love for Igbo bashing.

Some wake their dads with sliding tackle.

Cultural values of various ethnicity differs. What connotes respect in one society may mean another thing entirely in other societies. For instance in SE/SS kneeling down or prostrating is an act worship that should not be accorded to a mortal except in special circumstances. In this part of the country kneeling down or prostrating is not for greeting purposes and a typical elder from these regions will feel embarrassed when greeted with such gesture. As for the society waking up their fathers with kicks (though this is over exaggerated), so far that the old man did not feel disrespected with it, that is cool for them. The bottom line is - Do not judge others from your cultural perspective.

What happened to the minister can happen to anyone. Put yourself in the shoes of this family. Imagine the calamity of your father, your mother and your brother passing away like the Ocholis and all I can say is that I dont give a fu*k. Those were very unkind words to the dead and to the mourners. Be sober, mourn with those that mourn and weep with those that weep.

But how will the driver, orderly, PA & chief detail sustain just injuries while the minister & his family die.

How would they have all been seated in the car that death will choose only them? RIP to the dead.. My heart goes out to the remaining family.

The dead were most likely not wearing seat belts. The orderly and the driver must have been wearing theirs. RIP to the dead and quick recovery to the injured

Mothers be careful about how you treat your house maids. This evil house maid might have over reacted to ill treatment she received and transferred her aggression to the helpless child in her custody. It is common sense to treat your maid well including your driver and security personnel

can you not read? He bought equipment that were not fit for purpose. It's like collecting money to buy new cars and you buy cars without engines, why is a government buying cars without engines? Did he buy the planes for training/decoration or for fighting boko haram? how can you fight an ongoing war when your planes are not configured to deploy ammunition?

Did you read the part of the thread that said the planes were bought from United States? Is this the part of international conspiracy to undermine GEJ in his quest to fighting insurgency

I blame them. And I blame you for supporting such travesty.

Why the heck will people not gather the liver to do the right thing?

And knowing Nigerians, I bet the crowd of cowards that stood by while the baby was dying were the ones even warning others to do nothing.

I would have put aside all i had to do for the day to ensure I got her to a hospital.

Which hospital would you have taken the baby to, as who, who will foot the bill and after treatment what will you do with the child? Things like this happen because there is no social safety net to take care of young mothers with unwanted pregnancy. This is the reason why I am not quick to condemn the so called baby factories. It could have been better that the lady gave up the child for adoption than waste the innocent baby. Unfortunately there have been relentless onslaught against foster homes that could have taken care of the ugly situation so we are going to be seeing more babies wasted.
Politics / Re: Ashimolowo To Buhari: Looters Deserve Only 20% Of Your Time by Agukagu(m): 6:49am On Jan 13, 2016
This is an epic advise. You can not look forward while still looking backward. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying forget about the past looters. We want to see change in several frontiers. Our system should be primed to prevent looters from getting their hands on our cake. What made advanced countries tick is strong institutions not strong individuals. The most effective fight against corruption will be to give the country pro-active policies and institutional frameworks that will nip corruption in the bud not our present style of looking for the looters after they might have dipped their hands into our cookies jar. The figures being bandied as looted fund makes me wonder what kind of system we have that such fund can be peddled without raising red flags.

On the other hand we want to see government's efforts in addressing mirage of challenges confronting the country

Please help a sister in need. God will not come down from heaven to provide for her. The Bible frowns at people that tells someone in need that the Lord will provide without assisting in someway.
