It is common in Kano for over 20 years i have experienced this. With only one river supplying the whole city during raining season the water supplied is always full of sediments The state has to do more to make the water cleaner |
Very possible. it can overpay and under pay. i have experienced both. |
holamiday:Note because i hate APC i will have to start praying for Nigeria not to work. Buhari's success is our gain and his failure is our loss how can i be happy that i am losing or praying for me to lose. Nigerians need to think like humans |
Abeg Federal government should stop this money wasting project. they should spend this money training youths that couldn't go to universities and add value to their lives and stop wasting 1 year from the lives of graduates |
See what our leaders are putting us through!!!!!!!! only if they can just fix our universities and entire education system. After paying millions of Naira as tuition you will still be humiliated in foreign universities. God help us |
all the noise, i even thought it was something more spectacular. No improvement on the route. Still no way to link anthony to Ikeja along, i thought there would be extension of the fly over accross the railwayline. |
Up till now no accommodation after about 11 years of my graduation. Bed spaces was as high as 50K at a time. Rooms designed for 2 people were housing about 9 in some places with students taking turns to sleep. Na wa for Nigeria o |
No house in Nigeria is worth 1.6 Trillion even CBN head office and entire stuffs inside |
For the unemployed you only need innovation and foresight to get you there and not just flinging your CV upandan |
See wetin Bani and J. Valiya don cause oooo |
Ebubeslym:Just as Sanusi said, You want to sack somebody who leaked letter and not sacking the person who leaked money.. So you are calling Amaechi Snitch for exposing a presumed theft while in your are supporting those that presumably stole your money and calling them heros. |
An abstract painting by New York artist Barnett Newman that features a field of blue paint crossed by a ragged white line sold last night for $43.8 million — more than most Manhattan penthouses — to conclude a bidding war at Sotheby’s. Previously owned by Microsft co-founder Paul Allen, the work was bought by an unidentified bidder over the phone. The nearly $44 million price tag for “Onement VI” — which looks like a canvas version of the video game Pong — surpassed the estimated $30 million to $40 million price. “The speculative element is returning to the market,” said Jonathan Binstock, senior adviser in postwar and contemporary art at Citi Private Bank. “There’s more money to spend on riskier opportunities, ones that would have seemed unappealing just a few years prior.” Four artists, including Gerhard Richter and Nate Lowman, broke records at the auction, which fetched a total of $294 million at the prestigious auction house. Newman is said to be influenced by other abstract expressionists such as Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock and Frank Stella. http://nypost.com/2013/05/15/43-8-million-for-this/

How can we celebrate him when he never looted our treasury or divided us as a nation? |
Blessed Assurance Jesus is mine... |
Tocheagle:Gush!!!!! After complaining that everyone is talking sides and acting like analyst you finally took sides too. You sef |
See exam for a practical course like software development? No wonder na Indians dey run all our IT firms for Nigeria. Comparing this exams with what's is obtainable in developed nations is like comparing Nairaland and Facebook. |
EzePromoe:You are not even asking why they stole the money and made us to suffer? You are not even praying that they find more stolen funds Am even sure you are not happy that Nigeria is recovering stolen funds sef. You are coming here to ask JAMB question |
ojmaroni247:Dont worry others will be beneficiaries under Buhari, its changes like that that makes the word go round |
My first car was an Audi A4 99 model, was a very sweet car especially for speed. Maximum speed was 260KM/HR and i attempted reaching that mark but all i could get on Abuja-Kaduna Express was 220KM/HR before my liver fail me. Oboi its was like F1, and the funny part of it is that it was a V6 engine but fuel consumption was very very efficient. Oh but trouble came on the day i parked it for washing and it never started. they said it was an immobilizer sensor. i changed more than 5 of them but nothing. the car was parked for about 6 months with more than 10 different mechanics do trial and error until i got frustrated and changed the entire engine to Volk Golf 3. If you are going for any Audi, new model gulfs or German cars in general better be sure to have a professional car electrician otherwise OYO |
Gush!!!!!!!!!! No regards for a dead person. see how they are pulling him. RIP to the dead |
gentleheart1:Did Saraki who is on trial step aside and allow someone else who is not on trial make laws for you? You are not concerned about what affects you otherwise you would have being protesting for Saraki to hand over and face his trial you are here sympathizing with someone that has contributed immensely to the kind of Nigeria we have now |
When will all these stealing stop ![]() Some of these agencies that we have never heard anything of before, corruption will just bring them to limelight |
Anini |
This is an epic response. But what catches my attention most is the statement "This is not a sign of weakening of faith but a show of charity" |
See the kind of people we have in the senate... Must Jonathan take blame for everything? Were there no bad leaders before Jonathan? Am pro Buhari but this nonsense excuse has to stop |
Before the WW1 no military mandated its army to have clean shave During the war as poison gases were used US then provided gas mask to all the soldiers in the front line But many were still dying because the gases were not properly fitted to their faces so they recommended that everyone must keep clean shave This reduced the casualty rate from poison gases as the gas mask became air tight on the faces without beards. To ensure clean shave the US military bought millions of Gillette blades to supply to front-line, this changed the fortune of an almost unsuccessful engineer Gillette who just got a patent to his new shaving blade to become one of the richest man of his time |
This is one of my most favorite movies ever |
oostin:My brother i tire o. These guys think Nigerians are too dumb to comprehend the trash they throw at us. its also reminds me of the cooked up figure NBS send out periodically How can they say we have 12% inflation rate when everything we consume has increased by almost 50% minimum |
oostin:China is stealing their show because of the currency war. Nigerian currency will favor export in the international market because its also cheap unlike the Euro and dollar For a start the local consumption while take a huge chunk, imagine Ajeokuta supplying Nigerian Railway steel for expansion. Also the cost of production will be cheaper in Nigeria than many nations because the 3 main ingredient for steel productions ( Ore, Coke and limestone) are in relatively close proximity of 250 Km radius ( Nigeria is the only country in the world with that key advantage) |
I thought i would hear that Government is partnering with a Mining company from Australia, China, South Africa or even Zambia on how to develop mining centers or industries. I though i would hear that FG has discovered huge deposits of gold, bauxite, kaolin, beryllium etc I thought i would hear that Ajeokuta steel complex would be up in next 6 months, employ 5000 graduates, produce first steel ingot, supply Innoson with subsidized steel for their vehicle manufacturing plants I thought i would hear training of Engineers for the take off of a mineral research institutes I thought i would hear that we have started mining coal as alternate energy source to some of the vandalized gas pipes that is causing energy shortage in the country But am not surprised at all, its coming from a man that knows nothing of Solid minerals. We are not just serious as a country. instead of Fayemi talking of expanding or encouraging mining he is looking for way to hinder power local miners from their daily bread so that they can go into robbery and kidnapping ko? We are watching in 3D |
Eaa247:True online studies cant handle practical courses as u hv mentioned but if many theoritical coursea can be pushed online n free up spaces for physical n practical course then the universities can be more impactful in teaching them. Its wud b a win win |
I studied online with a foreign university, it was much more impactful than all my 5 years in engineering in Nigeria. It was research based n foolproof. No dubbing cos you use turnitin software. Its more one on one than regular class room as there is no time constrain. Having observed what is done in NOUN some modifications can make it better than regular classroom studies |
