Family / Re: My Son Caught I And His Mother In The Most Embarassing Way by AhWetin(m): 6:57pm On Jan 07, 2016
Mavelshee:
It was on a sunday afternoon during this xmas holiday. My wife and I decided get a little kinky because honestly we havnt had some good actions for a really long time. So my wife asked Martha our nanny to take the kids to our neighbours house upstairs for some play time and bring them back by 6pm. Kpa kpa kpa kpa kpa we don comot cloth, kpo kpo kpo kpo kpo kpo we don start pre-intimacy, and that was when it happened oo....Our 10yrs old son just opened the door "mum can I have some....." and saw his mum leaning on the edge of the bed crying and his dad eating his mums buttoks. Lo and behold this little dude just paused and thereafter there was a big grin + disgust on his face. My wife hasn't stopped crying oo, mostly because she thinks this kind of scenerio can eff up kids chemistry n stuffs. Plus he now looks at me somehow whenever we are together. I hope he doesn't tell the others what he saw.

So please nairalanders how can I explain or brainwash my kid about what he saw that day.

I have been in your son's shoes and trusts me it messes up the mind big time at that young age. I was 11 at the time and I slept off in my parent's room. I woke up at the middle of the night, it was dark but I sort of saw what was going on. The good thing is that my parents did not know that I was awake. My opinion - talk to him and let him know that what he saw is reserved strictly for Mummy and Daddy and establish boundaries of how your children burst into your rooms. Let them know that they should knock and wait for response before approaching the room or call out your names first.

Romance / Re: He Deletes Me Everytime We Have Issues! by AhWetin(m): 10:57am On Dec 04, 2015
Lizabeth25:
Been awake since 3am....trying to figure this out. Throwing it here might give me an answer to my disturbing questions. I hope the topic catches attention because I really need to read other people's opinion on this.

I'm 29 of age. I have a 41 years old guy whom I've introduce to my relatives and I've also met his.

We've been seriously dating for the past 5 to 6 months and within that period, every time we have a slight misunderstanding, he deletes me from social media starting from BBM to Whatsap then to FBK.! So whenever we settles, he begs me to re-add him.

This is the 5th time he is deleting me again and this has started giving me concern.

And I've started thinking that he's not right for me! Then what if I end up marrying him, any issues that comes up or we have slight misunderstanding, will he send me out of the house

Please, guys, is this how your react to your woman? And why do you do that?

Ladies, have you ever experienced issues like this and how did u cope?

I'm confuse and I don't understand why an adult will be thinking or behalving like a kid!

Just want to be sure that it's a normal and general reaction guys exhibits when they are not happy at their woman otherwise, I will just be on my own. Because my common sense is telling me to run away from him!

Please, don't just view, kindly type in your opinion. I will appreciate them!

I think you actually answered yourself. If at 41 he still does childish things like that, it explains why he is still single

Webmasters / Re: How Do Mobile Apps Earn??? (whatsapp,2go & other) by AhWetin(m): 4:33pm On Jan 09, 2014
ITbomb: Normally what they do is to get a venture capitalist to finance the app for up to 3-5 years. In the first few years what they are focus on is to make more people aware and use it, then as people start depending on it, they introduce adverts, finally they will offer premium services for a fee.

However here in Nigeria, app developers start from day one to imagine how 500 people will buy their 'unknown' products. tongue
Thank you!
Webmasters / Re: How Do Mobile Apps Earn??? (whatsapp,2go & other) by AhWetin(m): 2:55pm On Jan 09, 2014
dadaic: Lol.. People are funny. What'sapp started recently and it sure has grabbed a lot of attention. A classic disruptive idea as I will put it. How do they make money!! Simple, when it all started, it was free, which you and I downloaded, and we all know it started in 2009, so everyone who used in 2009, two years later, they have to pay 99 cents, another 3 years later, you pay $1.99, they do not need advertising neither do they need to advertise their market. They depend on public mouth. The site itself is built just with $10, they don't depend on heavy budget. Judging from the users of the app, over 100 million subscribers has been using since it started, now imagine how much they would have made, or are still making. The problem is people are wanting to purchase the app from it's owners making it difficult for instant messaging to be free. Well, only if it's bought. You don't need to advertise to make cash, as long as your idea is good, public mouth will make you rich only by the number of people viewing or downloading such app. Hope I have been able to help. Check the Nasdaq charts and see how their peak period has been, and you will understand what I am saying.
bros! $10 ke?!! haba, oya show proof

public mouth will "NOT" make you rich any money if your app is FREE and has no adverts on it!

SayITnw: There are many ways they will be earning money:
1. If the apps is networkcentric, then the network provider and the apps owner would have defined benefits within a contract. Which could mean while the apps is free, you will incur cost on data use for download and continuous usage of the application, the apps owner will be getting an agreed share of that, in some cases it could be a one of payment....Even if the apps is not free...a sharing formular would have been agreed.
2. No of positive hits could be another. Apps on playstore for example don't just get in there, play store team will have reached an agreement with the apps developer.
Almost made sense, but then none of the apps quoted do this. And FYI, apps "just get to playstore". Design one today and you can have it in by next tomorrow. It's an open platform

uchetobi: I'm married, the unmarried ones are envying me

I had normal delivery the ones that had cs are envying me

God really need to deliver a lot of Nigerian women from these mentality!

Life is not a competition and believe it or not some people's life do not revolve around answering 'Mrs'

Neither is it a competition of whose children got into sec school first or got married first! Jeez

Its not a race or 'first/ winner takes all'

I was at the gym in 2009 and two women got into a fight and the next thing we heard was 'that's why you are not married' shuooooo! Marriage don turn badge..the other woman she was abusing was even married, she just doesnt wear her ring to exercise

Coming from someone happily married for almost two years and still in a honeymoon phase self! Breathe in and out...your unmarried friends are not coveting your life....even the bible says it in ecclesiastics..there is time and a season for everything.

The fact that their time hasn't come yet doesn't mean they envy u or covet ur life or that you are even better than them

Just exactly what I wanted to type.

youngbilly1:

Mr man, i deal with phones, i can tell you point blank not everyone can afford a brand new smart phone, and sometimes a uk used last longer than a brand new. For example i bought the uk used S3 for 83k when S3 first came out for 90 + it was quiet expensive, till today its functioning fine, i have colleagues of mine who bought brand new S3 of recent when the price fell, they complain of one issues or the other. So not everyone can afford a brand new thats why its called USED!so there's nothing like discount, you just gotta be smart when buying a used phone. Same with cars people rather buy tokunbo.

chei another slavery mentality! Are you listening to yourself: UK-used(whatever that bullcrap means) lasts longer than a brand new?!! For real??!! On what planet does that make any sense. Either you buy a used or new phone, electronics is bound to malfunction. You can't ever get the same quality on all the phones that comes from a manufacturer. So don't use your "lucky-buy" to judge. Tokunbo cars are NEVER better than NEW.

Look Mr Man, why don't you go and tackle the car sellers on tokunboh cars, why they have different prices for registered and unregistered cars? Why don't you go and challenge Park n shop on why they sold me five balls of tomatoes at over N1000 because they had the imported badge? Your crusade is at best too late and too far off- start your revolution from the UK there by convincing them that they pay too much for Mcdonalds, the Gap, iMax movies and all other imported ideas they have there.

It started overheating around July but not surprised considering how I have used it. I used DELL previously but had battery and Mother board issues after 1 year. I bought both from uk. I also have friends that have used dell for 4 years so it's almost difficult to give an objective answer to OP

chiwex: check out this Nigerian e-commerce website that sells ebooks for now known as http://nairamegashop.com and I believe they are in need of marketers to promote their site,by 2 or 3 years time, they will be popular, now,I work there and I know the difficulties we are passing through, but I believe, that soonest,we will start reaping.

That site needs very serious REWORKING. To start with the logo looks like something smeared together by my 3 year old nephew. I could already tell that it is an off-the-shelf, no-further-work-done CMS specifically PrestaShop. If you want something like Jumai, you would seat down and do proper packaging from graphics to interaction all the way to properly tweaking your cms. A friend called me up once asking to design EBAY naija version. I thoroughly understand what goes into it but it's not just something one person will piece together over one weekend, it needs serious planning all the way to implementation and finally aggressive ADVERTISEMENT/MARKETING.

Health / Re: A Pregnant Woman Lifting Weights: Is This Safe? by AhWetin(m): 2:38am On Sep 22, 2013
ThaProphet: Pregnancy is not an illness. It is funny and annoying when women all of a sudden "act" ill when they are pregnant and stop doing what they used to do. Most times, they relax while their husbands do everything for them while they just sit around and get fat.

If you sit around and stop being active cos you're pregnant, it is possible you have more complications while giving birth. Your muscles have been in relax mode for 7 months straight, no exercise or nothing. That cannot be healthy.

Secondly, by the time you give birth, you will be uglier. All the fat will get into your face, legs, arms, neck, fingers and most importantly, your belly. You will end up looking like Papa Ajasco. Then you will complain when your husband does not find you sexy anymore.

You've got to be active while pregnant. I know of at least 2 women who continued their normal lifestyle during pregnancy. One who did not take her maternity leave until 8 months into the pregnancy. The result: healthy women, safe delivery and healthy babies.

This case however, I find a bit extreme but being a crossfit member (these guys don't play), I am sure she is more than used to it. Who knows? Maybe she used to lift heavier weights before. As long as she is not unusually (doing things she's not used to doing) stressing herself, she should be safe. Not sure about 2 weeks to delivery though but I guess she knows better being a mother of 2 already.

Are you a woman? Have you ever been pregnant?

Programming / Re: Why Waste 4 Years On Computer Science In University? by AhWetin(m): 4:46pm On Sep 09, 2013
meshybizzo: I think many people commenting here are forgetting so many things.

Firstly, @op Uncle was most likely speaking as a Nigerian. We all know nigerian universities are no good. Even the so-called private ones. So let's stop decieving ourselves.

What is the arguement here? That computer science goes beyond programming or that studying computer science in "Nigeria" is a waste of time!

My answer to both is simple. They are both CORRECT! Computer science far goes beyond programming but also spending 4 good years (all things been constant e.g ASUU) in nigerian universities is sadly a long waste of time.

I have meet, worked wit and seen computer science and engineering graduates from Unilag, OAU and even the so-called CU and likes incapable of "Formatting" a computer system after 4years in the university. I finished from FUTA. Comp sci students are taught maths and al sort of matrics and algebra ova and ova. Yet some can even write a simple html code.

So Pls, Pls and Pls let's not decieve ourselves. Yes the certificate has its benefits but if you're speaking in terms of "knowlegde" I do rather go to some training institute for 1year than 4long years in a nigerian university studying Comp Sci.

Its all a matter of focus. What you want to do. For example, If I wanted 2b a networking guy, I do direct my money toward Cisco certifications. And believe me it do take you there much faster than 4years in the university.

And lastly, Computer science is far becoming to Large! In the nearest further I foresee it been dissolved into small course like network engineering, programming and the likes.

Just pause there. There are some things that will NEVER be learnt in university. Personal development comes into play even if you go to the best universities in the world. I have phD friends who have never seen the inside of a "desktop" computer here in uk neither do they know how to format a computer and they are very vast in other software related things. Don't lay undue emphasis on one thing as a true picture of the whole. A graduate of electrical engineering from MIT WILL NOT be able to wire a 3 bedroom apartment. Ask me why? Stuffs like that are not usually taught in University. I learnt it personally by attaching myself to an electrician family friend. So get out of the mind-set of "he/she can't do this simple thing". University/ high education will point you in a direction, it is left for you to find the end of it. In retrospect the starting point of programming should be fortran, basic or python, that's the best place to grow a baby from a toddler to a walking child... and remember not every child will eventually become a gymnast.

I used to think that studying computer science was a waste of time till I got abroad (I actually switched from comp sci to elect in my 2nd year in uni). With my years of programming/design etc, I discovered that there was more to computer science than just churning out codes. There are many things in the field you CAN NOT LEARN on your own correctly. Algorithms, Data Structures, Operations Research and Modelling, Concepts of Concurrency, Artificial Intelligence to mention just a few. I recently took part in the Google code jam and it was then I knew that some problems required some other concepts I won't find in programming books or by packing a few certifications. The kind of coursework I see undergraduates do here is what most people do as FINAL year project in Nigeria.
