Celebrities › Re: Bikini Photos: Lilian Afegbai, Nigerian Big Brother Africa Hotshots Housemate by Aida13: 12:20am On Sep 29, 2014
Yes, very hot with her moustache. I hope she can maintain this skin tone for the many weeks she will be there - that is if she doesn't get booted out in week 1-3. From what I see, this might be her time span grin grin

BoboYekini: I can see she's got the de riguer tramp stamp. Definitely not housewife material.
----- LMAO---wicked grin grin

My unforgettables reloaded - after some rest I could now get going again grin grin

Sulu - unforgettable Sulu - who remembers when he first composed his hit tune Ruby Ruby Ruby - you are a Ruby tongue He falls in love easily. First with Namibian Maria, then with Selly. What a joke. I mean joker grin

Cleo ------ the second leading lady. Girl had style and substance. But couldn't stand it when she rapped...so annoying grin

Annabel----one of those claiming eighteen going on eighty...lol. Remembered when she fought the guys over a bottle of beer...she cried to a point (her favorite three words) eh...

Angelo-----I only liked him when he danced grin grin and when he was rowing with Annabel

Bimp-----from the neck down, the guy is one of the hottest in the BB8 Chase. And he knew how to treat the ladies wink grin

Melvin-----unforgettable for being forgettable. He knows how to handle himself, but played it too safe for my liking. you don't get far that way.

LK4-----oh my God, the guy with the donkey smile (like the donkey in Shrek grin grin) Likes boasting about being a pro baller and a rich guy. Turned out to be the lamest on BBA8 The chase grin

---If we can have at least five housemates that are anything as fun as the above list of 16 unforgettables, I don't mind wasting some good time watching the show this year....See you there grin grin
Music/Radio › Re: Best Nigerian Music Collabo Ever!! by Aida13: 10:48pm On Sep 28, 2014
Phyno and Olamide - Ghost Mode. Hands down the best collabo. Yoruba vs Ibo. Video was banging. True talents brought together to make a massive hit that remains unforgettable in my mind.

Since then I knew Phyno was the guy to watch and I was right.

I really enjoyed the last one, met some really unforgettable housemates. Ruby House and Diamond house...can never forget the weekend party jams grin grin Can there ever be another set of housemates like the last one? I doubt it...

My unforgettables of BBA8 The Chase...

Betty------the cheerful giver, had carnal relations with a housemate within 48 hours or so of meeting him...

Hakeem---the "hunk" of BBA8 - can cry like a girl on demand.

Bassey----you just love to hate this guy - knows how to be your bestie. Can dance, cook and clean. All-rounder housemate

Beverly----hahha. Bev Bev. I liked her, she was real. Never sold out till the end. Our Naija gurl was crazy though.

Elikem----the annoying Ghanaian - if you live in UK you know there will always be that one Ghanaian you want to just...I liked him sha. Gutsy guy.

Delish----this girl has the hottest bod I've seen on an African. I'm a chick. I totally shipped this girl for her looks, but she had nothing more to add.

O'neal - No comment. LOL

Feza ----would have been queen bee, but her insecurities when it came to other hot girls in the house killed her shine. She had to bow down for the other two leading ladies...

Selly----another annoying Ghanaian cheesy. Had changing rainbow skin colors. Came in yellow, left in a coat (sorry, skin) of many colors...

Natasha----oh my goodness, Mama Africa. Can talk dirty but she really was just a bad mama jamma...

Pokello --- one of the leading ladies . You can't phuck with this babe. Liked her for one thing - always neat and looked her best 24-7

Nando ---- tried to be a thug, but he just looked like a guy who grew up eating too many packets of Indomie noodles....

(I'm tired abeg. I never realized they were that many. Anyway, my point was that they were cool to watch, enjoyed the show. Hope this year can be even better!)
Phones › Re: Apple Fans Around The World Finally Get The Iphone 6 (PICTURES) by Aida13: 7:35pm On Sep 25, 2014
Those that rushed to buy, too bad. That's why it's good to wait 2-3 months. Even with selling 10 million iPhones in 3 days, people are already complaining. The iPhone (especially 6 plus) BENDS. Even the iOS 8 update had some glitches and they had to withdraw it. Thank goodness I haven't rushed to upgrade my iOS on my devices. Na wa, in their hurry to please all these desperate customers, they rushed out sub-standard products. But they still smiling to the bank! Because people will still buy with all the flaws.
Music/Radio › Re: Open Letter To M.I Abaga by Aida13: 10:04pm On Sep 22, 2014
Leave MI alone, are you the one paying his rent? Rap is not like R n B that you can just be releasing hit songs. Look at Eminem, Nas, Kanye West and many other renowned rappers. They don't just spit out albums every other year. They believe in quality not quantity and it's better to wait and have something solid than bring out any commercially driven crap that doesn't stand the test of time.

Not saying MI is all that, I'm just a nominal fan but I see the bro has talent. Let's be patient and give him a break to enjoy his success.
Phones › Re: Nigerian Networks And Their Annoying Texts/calls by Aida13: 9:56pm On Sep 22, 2014
Oh my goodness I though I was the only one bothered! MTN is the worst for sending unsolicited texts for any bloody thing. To make matters worse, my mom's phone is still bombarded with World cup texts after that competition to win millions during the last world cup. They are still sending her texts and questions to answer on Nigerian history as if the promo is still on!

To make matters worse, I just bought two mico sims and instantly, one of them starting collecting N15 per day for some insurance scheme I didn't subscribe to. So automatically they remove this money daily WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. I've tried to opt out but to no avail. MTN are making a lot of illegal profits and wrongful schemes to siphon money from unsuspecting users. It's a disgrace!

TV/Movies › Re: Korean Movies Chatroom by Aida13: 9:01am On Sep 20, 2014
Now watching "My Love from Another Star". Officially the first modern series I'm going to watch start-to-finish. I hope. Tried to watch Two Weeks because of Lee Joon Ki but couldn't watch past 2 episodes. These dramas are great, I just don't relate with them or find them as believable as the more natural period/historical dramas.

Music/Radio › Re: Wizkid’s “ayo” Album Claims No1 Spot On Itunes by Aida13: 8:40am On Sep 20, 2014
The whole styling of the Ayo track reminds me of Davido's Aye song and video. Just saying. This doesn't feel or look original. Still, props to him for effort. People need more of cultural pride especially for those living in diaspora looking to connect to their roots. They'll probably be the ones buying the album on iTunes the most.
Phones › Re: Apple Unveils The 4.7-inch Iphone 6 With Retina HD Screen by Aida13: 11:59am On Sep 18, 2014
Much as I loathe to admit it, Apple does make better products and it's no difference with the iPhones.

Too bad they can't seem to supply them at a more reasonable price even for a higher-end phone. And I generally think people should be allowed to make their own choices when it comes to brands.

Apple simply created the best BRAND and other smartphone companies still can't beat that, hence all the playa-hating. If I wanted I could definitely go for the iPhone of my choice. I already have the iPad AND the iPod and the experience can't be beat. As for the latest iPhone... I just hate to waste good money over certain mere objects. Which can be broken, stolen, lost or even get bored with over time.
TV/Movies › Re: Korean Movies Chatroom by Aida13: 12:23am On Sep 18, 2014
Wislet: ya, sometimes their recommendations can cost someone. lol.

Go on and try all those ones....you'll be glad you did. Also add to that list DONG YI, GOOD DOCTOR, PROTECT THE BOSS, MASTER'S SUN/MASTER OF SUN.

I'm guessing you've long watched the likes of: You Are Beautiful, Boys Before Flowers, Full House, Shut up Flower Boy Band, Queen Inhyun's Man/ queen and I, Princess' man, Jewel in the Palace, etc .

Just write down all I've recommended and watch one after the other. Hahaha. You gonna be quite busy dem go drag you from the TV- no dull moment cheesy
Lmao - my house is beginning to look like a bootleg DVD headquarters. I'm thinking it's cheaper just watching/downloading it online. Before I run out of space to put all these alaba dvds grin

From your above list, I've only seen Dong Yi. Hard to believe I haven't seen Boys Over Flowers, Shut up Flower Boy Band, Full house and all the others you mentioned. I really like the ones with warriors in them, so I avoid any that doesn't really have some good battles grin I've always heart of Queen Inhyun's Man and Princess' Man, heard they had sad endings so fear catch me. I'm done crying over these k-dramas. Those writers/directors must be insane lol.

Since these recommendations are coming from you I'll definitely give them a try. At least I'll watch an episode each online and if I like it from the start I'll go for them. I've got a crazy taste in dramas so I can't really say which one can catch my fancy from episode one. Maybe I'll start with Master's Sun; that one's popular on most sites I visit. Thanks @Wislet smiley
TV/Movies › Re: Korean Movies Chatroom by Aida13: 1:07pm On Sep 17, 2014
Wislet: ya, I get your drift. I tend to avoid melodramas too. Lol.

Try these modern ones(I know you said you aren't much into them) and you'll really love them:

-Fated to love you
- it's okay, that's love
- You are all surrounded
- 3 days
- ghost/ ghost phantom
- the conqueror (this one is period drama and very very interesting)
- hotel king
- who are you
- I hear your voice

They have happy endings too.
Thanks, I think I will try them smiley As I've almost run out of nice period dramas to watch lol. The first three you listed, seem to be quite popular. I will look out for them soon.

Just finished watching some Chinese movies/Korean dramas:

- Wuxia (Dragon)
- Sacrifice
- House of Flying Daggers

- Royal Tramp
- Jumong (yikes, almost can't finish it, toooo long)
- Flying Warriors Buchunmoo

Tried to watch but couldn't bear to get past 3 episodes;
- Sea god
- (Soldier) god of War
- Faith
- Wind and Cloud

lmao this will be the last time I'm buying a series based on my local DVD seller's recommendations. What's interesting to them turns out to be a waste of time for me. Will rather go online and make my choice then go out and look for the ones that interest me. Or watch it on Dramania/Drama.net/Gooddrama/Dramafever.
TV/Movies › Re: Korean Movies Chatroom by Aida13: 11:22pm On Sep 16, 2014
The thing about Korean dramas and in fact all Asian dramas is the ridiculous ending of most of their series. 99% of those I've seen always end in a sad way. Hardly do I end a series without bawling my eyes out. I don't get it, why are they so morbid?

So far I only watch their period dramas, historical and ancient-type dramas. I've followed Joseon Gunman, one of the latest historical series, from the beginning but slowed down around episode 18 because it was obvious the plot writers had gone bonkers.

Other latest series I'd started but got fed up: Nightwatchman's Diary, 3 Musketeers,

Some of my fave series and which I will recommend:

- Sword and Flower (or Blade and Petal) - love this one but the ending was...

- Warrior Baek Dong Soo

- Arang and the Magistrate (this one was on another level of cool. Crazy ending but it was my first ever K-drama so, i have a soft spot for it lmao)

- Kang Chi (or Gu Family Book)

- Empress Ki (no list will be complete without this drama. Smoking hot!!)

- Prince of Lan Ling (a Chinese drama but also good, such a visual feast to watch, reminds me of the quality of Empress Ki)

I've seen more but these are the ones that were really outstanding for me. I'm losing interest in some of these dramas because they start well and then end stupidly. Not yet ready to get into their more modern dramas, doesn't really freak out like the period dramas.

StealthyMe: Probably cos they mostly attend sporting functions and can't look too flashy there...
It's not about flashy, but a decent weave that doesn't look frizzy after a few hours of tennis. I'm not saying they should wear waist-length extensions; I'm talking neat, elegant and well groomed hair. It doesn't make sense how they look both on and off court.
Sports › Re: Serena Williams Wins 18th Grand Slam Title by Aida13: 10:11pm On Sep 09, 2014
That's my role model. Hard working and determined. Bleep the haters.

On another tip though, why is that, with all their prize money, these sisters can never get a decent weave? I've never seen either Serena or Venus wow me with their hair or wardrobe. If I had even one-tenth of their money eh... America will know!

Reasons men cheat:

1. They are weak and can't resist temptation

2. You can't satisfy them, hence they are always out looking for adventure

3. They don't understand what they want, hence they move from thin to fat to ugly to pretty on and off

4.

5.

Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Chris Removes Information About His Wife From Church Website, by Aida13: 5:59pm On Sep 01, 2014
The day I mistakenly found myself entering Christ Embassy church at Oregun (was headed for another church, called Daystar, was invited and so missed my way. Anyway, someone directed me to this Christ Embassy by mistake. What my eyes saw as per female dressing - it was like I was inside a nightclub. On entering, I saw a lady preacher about to start preaching. It's all good. Something made me ask the usher, please which church is this. Long story short, I soon jumped up and got myself outside, to find my way to the right venue. Just to say, that Christ Embassy is really an exposed church; allows their females to be very daring and disclose their assets. Wasn't really comfortable with all the distractions.

TV/Movies › Re: Nollywood Nightmare At Durban Int Film Fest by Aida13: 11:15pm On Aug 13, 2014
I'm not surprised the Nigerian movie industry is light years behind everyone else, even in Africa. When half-schooled traders are moneyballing the industry, what do you expect. There is no true artistry in the whole system. They just depend on this or that face to sell a movie. There will never be a movie good enough to compete on any level, whether in filming, storyline or acting. As for me, I make do with watching the odd Jenifa movie grin grin grin I prefer to watch such movies; it keeps my expectations low and I'm only in it for the laughs anyway.
