Parents!!

First things first. Then Boss. As for the EX - that would be never. So that leaves boo - save the best for last grin grin

safarigirl:
Okay, watched about 5 vlogs and my last pre-opening show reviews go:

1. No. Trezagah won't be Nando's second, Nhlanhla's the lucky fellow. Dude wore one shirt in 3 different vlogs

2. @Aida13, this may be bad news, but Lillian looks very beautiful without make-up. I mean, VERY and that's something from me grin. I totally understand why South Africans are having high blood pressure on FB grin

3. Apparently aunty Ella black widow is too big to do any vlogs cuz there was nothing on her.

6. The Mozambicans speak pretty good English for a Portuguese-speaking nation.

7. I will just NEVER like Alusa and that tree on his head or the bush on his chin

8. M'am Bea looks prettier and younger than her pictures suggest. Ghana got an upgrade from Selly this year, but Kaycey Moore is a definite downgrade

9. Yes, Arthur will NOT be a fan's choice this year

10. Still yet to figure Tayo out undecided
I don't really have any beef with her, was just disappointed that she wasn't as cool and hot as I thought ( figure that one out grin ) but if she's entertaining, good. Bev really embarrassed us last year. Never cared about her skin, looked like a Surulere bikeman when she smoked...and just wore dunlop slippers up and down. I wish we had a Pokello in terms of neatness and beauty consciousness...I like girls who make the effort at least 70% of the time.

When I see guys here talking about BBA, I'm like shocked shocked shocked Seriously undecided undecided
Funny you should say that, when guys participate in the BBA competition, and have won several times eg UTI NWACHUKWU to name one. Are you "manlier" a guy than him ?? SMH just say you're not into it yourself, finish.

I tire o grin I'm learning the different classifications of beauty for the first time. Is all good. Makes the show "more better" grin as some folks say.

Looks like the BBA awareness is getting higher, so that's why you see those queues. This is getting interesting.... grin

P.S. below is a pic of Lillian wearing Benin traditional attire, as shown on her vlog for the BBA 'fashion parade' teasers, used to keep the housemates busy since they're cooped up in separate locations waiting for the relauch (delayed because of the devastating fire outbreak).

At least the girl knows how to rep her roots grin grin grin I talk am say she be true bini gyal lmao

safarigirl: koketso was not hot. She had a classy look to her. Such women aren't called 'hot' that's insultive. She was elegant and classy, Selly was hot (before the bleach wiped off)

HOT= She's good for banging. I'd like to bang her brains out

Classy= I could take her to a nice upscale restaurant. She'll be good for flaunting amongst the elite.

Koketso was the latter, a socialite. Nice girl you can take home to your rich, politician daddy or your socialite mama would set you up with. She wasn't just some 'hot' girl
Using "hot" and selly in the same sentence. Ok o grin Selly that came in looking like one ewa agoyin seller on her way to Sunday service. Ok. Because you're trying to imply guys don't want to "bang the brains out" of classy girls. Ok. I see grin

njokusboy: Lolzz, I am light-skinned and surrounded by light-skinned women, light skinned womendon't freak me... I think you can guess why...
Nd I done even like any housemate yet... I don't know any of them well enough
That's good, that's good. For now, we're just judging on face value - we don't really know who we'll end up liking for his/her entertainment value, personality and intelligence - the 3 things that help viewers keep a housemate in the BBA house.
TV/Movies › Re: Big Brother Africa 'hotshots' Official Thread by Aida13: 2:35pm On Oct 03, 2014
njokusboy: I agree, she's not all dat, but she's sexy, ain't no way ur bev gonna beat that girl even on her best day... nd I ain't even trying to diss Bev.
Ok o, you have your eyes I have mine. Somehow I'm guessing this is a light-skin thing grin I've been reading somewhere how black guys can go gagag for just lightskin when it comes to chicks (I'm talking about US). These yellow pawpaw girls get a free pass just for their skin tone. Ok o. Ok. Continue. I will watch out on your behalf and see how it goes for Ms Lightskin Lillian.

And no, I have no beef for light-skin. Cleo, Pokello, Feza etc were lightskin and I liked them. In the first week anyway.
TV/Movies › Re: Big Brother Africa 'hotshots' Official Thread by Aida13: 2:29pm On Oct 03, 2014
safarigirl: Koketso? Hot? Most South Africans would disagree with that grin. Yes, fake hair and excess make-up= hot girl. Hot girls are usually artificial. Then again, this isn't Miss Nigeria, so who cares? Na who go twerk na im people wan see, not Cherise. Bea's clip was ok, if she didn't talk like twas a job interview like stateofmind said. Hope she's at least a strong character like Confidence, else....even Black widow will be there to see her off
Ehhh, Koketso not hot? What?! Tall, slim, well spoken...she has that air of "unattainable" that had all the guys having crushes on her in d house. But only LK4 was "man" enuf to get close. She couldn't dance for $hit and she was kind of ponmo_lipped but that was one classy hot chick. IMO

Ksslib: I've not only encountered one but thousands and i still dont know what you are on about. And not all colors wash, save for okrika.

You will agree it'll be in everyone plus this threads favor if we desist from airing false tribalistic stereotypes. Be it subconsciously or otherwise.
Hmmm
Insult someone and mention their tribe = they call me tribalistic

Lol how else can I describe her and not mention her tribe?
She's bini/edo if I'm not mistaken and it shows in a razz way grin If she was ibo/yoruba and showed some razz traits of those tribes um..imma point that out too. No hate, no beef. Just dissing. Can I live? grin

By the way, not ALL bini/edo girls act or talk like her. That's why I qualified her as being "like" a bini "area girl".

Hey bro, excuse me if she's your new crush-to-be...but she isn't all that. Look well, well. Look past the itty-bitty waist and the pasty skin. I have my eyes, you have yours. I see what I see, same for you grin just because the whole africa might say she's the hottest nigerian contender in history...um, on a good day, in a good weave, heels and sexy black dress, my Bev will beat her in looks hands down!!

Let's just watch and see. You...or me, might end up wrong. Till then, dude chill. I can sense your ire brewing, abi I ruffle d feathers ni?
big brother is for hot girls, not pretty ones and Lillian fits the bill. Certainly not overrted in my opinion and will go far. She's pretty enough, the hottest Naija rep in 9 seasons, that has to count for something. You're the first one to say she's overrated....and I don't get the ish with her skin, sup with tht? And yes, she looks like a make-up girl, but she wouldn't need it as much as Sipe and Samantha or even thqt Resa chic.

Whether the girls nominate Ella or not isn't important, Dillish was the most nominated housemate last year...the more some get nominated, the more popular they are with viewers

Don't care for Bea, she's not winning material IMO...will be very forgettable in the long run, a lot like Ofunneka
Ella = Koketso.

Hot chick, short time span grin

Mark my words. Oh, and I stand by my comment about Lillian. If a nice weave, slim shape and pancake light skin makes a girl "hot" then OK. But for me, she is actually the opposite of pretty. Different strokes.

And I like M,am not for any hotness (tho to me she's far sexier than that skinny ass Lillian). I just like her manner. If she goes there and starts forming housewife, cooking and cleaning, that's none of my business grin
TV/Movies › Re: Big Brother Africa 'hotshots' Official Thread by Aida13: 9:24am On Oct 03, 2014
safarigirl: lol. She'll last longer than
Trezagah
Arthur.
Permithias
Sabina.
Laveda
Kaycey Moore

She should at least get through the first month...if she doesn't separate herself from the others.
Ok oo. She's like the annoying "fine girl" that other girls will immediately want to nominate grin just to get rid of their 'competition'.

As for Lillian, am I the only one who thinks she's overrated?? Not fine at ALL. Good shape but that face tongue like a typical born and bred Bini area girl grin Trust me, that skin of hers will start disgracing her soon. She looks like she needs makeup constantly. Of all the girls we have in Naija...smh

The only female I'm feeling is that M'am chick. She's real.

And she's actually pretty.

Repping Ghana jare grin I like their housemates this year grin

He's just joking guys. Everyone knows how we laugh at Ghanaian people for their intonation when it comes to words with 'er' at the end, like "her' is pronounced to sound more like 'hair' (they're still forming British colonization lmao) and doctor sounds like 'doctar' when they say it. It's a Ghana thing and he just used it to show us some luv/solidarity. I'm not his fan but he tried jare abeg. Give him a break.

barnaby04: At times, some of the things we buy are things we don't really have much use for but just because of wanting to feel among and also be seen as a big boy or big girl stuff.

A tablet and a smart phone are two similar items that does same purpose, only that one has a fairly bigger screen than the other which is the only difference between the two.

I bought a tablet that is less than a year old which was the latest tech in market then, as I write this, I don't think have used it actively in the last two months cos I just discovered that what I does on it is still what I does on any of my smart phones. So why always carry a burden about?

Today, whenever I look at it where I kept it and remembers the fortune used in buying it, I ask myself, did I actually wasted money in buying it? Cos its something I rarely use these days

This our thirst for latest gadgets and feeling big always, may it not lead us astray!
Wow, just wow @ bold. I can't. I just. Darn.

safarigirl: More
8. Ellah- Uganda
henceforth, I shall refer to this babe as Black Widow. She's very pretty, nice body (and yes guys, she plans to shower na.k-ed wink), nice voice, she's quirky. Seems like a Dillish kinda character, has the coy seductress thing going on so she'll be getting a lotta male attention. I see her with someone like Mr. 265...at least I see him trying his best to get her attention grin
9. M'am Bea- Ghana
Thank God for small mercies. I'm glad to say, this girl is DEFINITELY Ghanaian, she has the accent on point, homely person. Natasha is back guys grin, she says she loves cooking, fashion designer. Hshe'll most likely be the mother hen so not much fun and sorry guys, don't expect any dancing from this one. Lillian will have to promote shoki all on her own grin
10. Macky2- Zambia
I regret to inform you all, that yes, this nigga is as worgly as he looks. Looks like Kaone and LK4 had a baby....funny thing is, dude acts like he's Trey Songz grin. A lot of self confidence going on there, he actually thinks some lady in the house will be interested in straffing him grin...should be a fun fellow
11. Permithias- Namibia
Sounds like a transvestite...if there's a gay Namibian in that house, it's this dude. Feminine voice, will most likely be sleeping in the kitchen with Bea. Thinks he's a threat...I think he's mistaking BBA for Top Chef. This one won't go far, e no even fine sef
@stateofmind, the videos are on youtube. Just search 'bba hotshots"...maybe you can help profile the rest
So it's confirmed we have a 2014 version of:

Dillish - Ellah (Uganda)

Natasha - Ma'am Bea (Ghana)

O'Neal - Nhanlanha whachamacallit guy (RSA) that name sef lol

and more comparisons to come. Let me guess - Big Brother want to use the winning formula of last year. But can they possibly actually replicate housemates with similar personalities as last year? Naah. Bad move. But I'll wait and see. Great update safarigirl!
TV/Movies › Re: Big Brother Africa 'hotshots' Official Thread by Aida13: 9:34pm On Oct 02, 2014
safarigirl: So i've watched the videos of some houdemates and these are my reviews on those I've watched.
1. Idris- Tanzania
Don't be deceived guys. This dude is one fine brutha, his pic does him no justice grin. Seems like a cool fella, nice smile, nice voice. Reminds me of Ricco from season3, not as wild though, but same youthful exuberance. Look forward to seeing more of him.
2. Kaycey Moore- Ghana
When a prominent member of Team Ghana on twitter tweeted that she would be supporting Tayo over the Ghanaian reps this year, I thought "they can't be that bad"...well, I don't know bout Bea, but this dude is terrible. He doesn't even realize he's repping Ghana.
He opened up with the lines "i'm originally from Ghana" (are you serious?)..and then went on to tell us how 'Kaycey' is an adulterated version of his real name 'Kwesi'...I mean, he sounded so detached from all things Ghana it was sad to see and annoying too. Plus, he sounds like a girl
3. Lillian- Nigeria
She has a bubbly personality. Nice voice, nice accent (I mean a naija one, not some fake Yankee shii)...might actually be the only girl lighting up Saturday parties and it's saddening....I still dey find the yansh wey giiyaz say she get sha grin, definitely one to look forward to
4. Luis- Namibia
"Hi, my name is Luis(s not pronounced), i'm from Namibia and I have a 6 peck (it's pack he meant to say, but he pronounces it peck) grin...looking forward to his accent, gonna be laughing hard at that. He looks good, a finer version of MC Hammer.
As for the packs? It's kinda dry so anyone looking forward to that? Don't bother, I've seen better 6 packs on conductors in Isolo
5. Mr.265- Malawi.
Honestly, whoever took this guy's picture no like am at all, in fact, his ex must have been involved cuz he looks far better than it portrayed. Seems like a COOL fella. He's a DJ, so expect his opinion on some party nights as far as DJs go smiley. Seems like a player as well, so look forward to the return of Alex Bumaye grin
6. Nhlanhla- South Africa.
First off, forget the spelling, this name is pronounced 'NtaNta'po...at least that's what he said...i'm going to have a good laugh watching IK introduce him and then watching housemates get used to the name grin. Seems like a calm dude, smart and easy-going. Don't see much of an entertainer here, he's more like an O'neal, but less bitter and manipulative. I mean O'neal pre-West African vendetta
7. Tayo- Nigeria
I'm not really sure how to feel about this dude yet, Lillian's interview was more interesting. He seems okay, not so much a Boreneal fella, sorry but I don't see an Uti here to those who were hoping he's like that and I don't see a Kevin either. Yet to find a housemate to place his character with. Might just be his own person.
Will post any more I watch
This is cool, almost missed this post. So we think alike - I also thought the Nhlanhla guy reminds me of O'neal...it's uncanny how it strikes us the same way in that aspect lol

I can't wait to see them live and when they first get into the house. People, watch out for the first hour when all the housemates start to mingle. This will be a foundation for how they will get on from the first week to the end if they get that far.

I can't forget watching the first hour of the housemates getting into the house. Beverly was all over the place, LK4 was carrying every girl in his arms like one Tarzan, Elikem was just annoying, trying to be everyone's friend...Betty was just dumbstruck seeing all the other hot chicks...she thought she would be the finest grin Bassey was just so dull and stupid, forming like he was too cool. And thus got nominated soon after and then he changed his game, becoming fun, lively and more sociable. The hediot almost lost his chance grin grin

Many more first impressions I had. And I tell you, it really shaped the way they turned out over the next few months. So don't dream of missing the first night in the BBA house guys!

funny enough, you might find yourself crushing the person you insulted, pics can be very deceivinggg.

Aida13 I have stored all your post, let me catch you crushing, I will so laughhh. buhaha
Abegi, my eyes can't deceive me in the case of the following:

That Ghana guy with d ponmo lips and kente tuxedo

That Rwandan guy, so skinny like he joined BBA just to enjoythe free food, nothing more (Mr. Smiling Gums)

That Mozambique guy with d spikes studded in his leather jacket, an imitation Sulu grin an even cheaper version than the original...lmao

Yeah sure it's too soon to judge, but for now I can only judge on what I see (their looks in photos) So until I get to know them personally/personality wise before I can decide to "crush or not crush"
