My wife is the main applicant and the POF is in my name, is there a particular place where it has to be stated or we just upload the POF as we should normally without stating it, or is there a particular place while applying for Visa online where we should choose a particular option while answering the question?

When your wife is filling her Visa application form she should select the option "NO" when asked if the funds is in her name/account.

she will also need to upload a consent letter from you to that effect.

Once you are redirected to the IHS page to make your payment, your answers are automatically locked in and can no longer be amended.

Your statement of account is one of the most important document you need to upload for visa application.

Usually there are two means to uploading your documents after filling the visa application form; self upload and assisted service

If you opt for self upload they you will have to scan and upload your POF alongside other documents you're using to support your application by yourself.

If assisted service then you will have to carry all your documents (POF inclusive) along with you to TLS on the date of your biometric and they will scan and upload it themselves. (N:B this service costs 11,700)

If you have other questions/confusion please don't be shy to ask so you get the necessary help.

My question is during application, am I to print the 28 days POF and upload it during the online application process on that day? Secondly, since I don't know what date I might be getting for biometrics, is it the same POF from July 18th to August 18th I would be printing out for biometrics. Thank you for your patience.

You don't need another POF to go for biometric.
As long as the date you plan do your visa application/payment for IHS is within 31days from the last date on your POF then you're good.

However, in my opinion you might want to upload an updated statement if your biometric date is more than 31days from the last date on your POF (this is as a safety measure).

1. Please scan your documents individually and label them appropriately for easier identification.
2. Why settle for less when you can have the absolute best? Please scan in colours, it is not forbidden.
3. If you opt for self-service you can upload and submit anytime before your biometric, the documents are stored on their system. If it's assisted service, then carry all your property to TLS on the day of biometric and they will do the scanning themselves.

Happened to me .. once you pay for assisted service, the upload button automatically becomes idle.

Your already uploaded documents are still there. Switching from self service to assisted means you can ask to add additional documents or delete an erroneous upload after submission.

I have already gotten my CAS and booked a date for biometric meanwhile I only started my proof of fund this month hoping that it will be matured about 2 days to my biometric.

We've seen people get visas after pulling this stunt
We've also seen A WHOLE LOT of people get refusals for same reason.

What you decided is your decision and solely yours even though Personally I wouldn't have advised to apply before the maturity date.

If you decide to go ahead with biometric then your fate lies with the ECO.
