If not for the Covid-19 effect, it is mkstly busy.
Cargo vessels berth there regularly and that is why they have FOT and FLT
FOT - Federal Ocean Terminal designed for big ships/foreign going or ocean going vessels
FLT - Federal Lighter Terminals for smaller vessels.
Container vessels and Bulk carriers do come there regularly to load and offload

Is there any reason why Maersk vessels from Asia have to touch base with Apapa and Tincan before heading to Onne?

I suggest you DIY and bypass middlemen.

1. Visit the EKEDC website to download the form. There is a section where a licensed electrician details is required and these contractors usually loiter around the EKEDC premises with their seal. You need their seal and licence registration number to complete the form.

2. Go back to the EKEDC website and complete the online form entering all the requested details. Once you submit, you will be sent a notification. Please note that you will be adviced to scan the hardcopy form to newservice. I never received a response from that email.

3. About a week later, your application should be approved. Follow up with the officer that sent the approval mail and eventually, he/she will assign a MAP provider to you with a MAP number.

4. The MAP staff will conduct a survey of your premise and issue a notice to pay with the MAP reference number into a designated account at the official price. After payment is made, send evidence via email.

5. Be patient and wait. In my case, MOJEC ran out of stock and I was duly notified. When they received supply, I was contacted and installation took fifteen minutes. The period of time from payment to installation was less than 3 months.

guys pls i ordered something on aliexpress since october 2020 and it was supposed to have been delivered since the 7th of novermber 2020, but up till now the status has remained the same on aliexpress website, pls what can i do to locate the place the item is stuck as well as speed up the shipping process.....thanks

The package is unregistered so tracking updates ceased as soon as it arrived Nigeria on the 17th of October.

Unregistered packages can take as long as 2 months to arrive your local PO so remain patient and wait. You can visit the PO to check if your item is in their possession. PO staff have been sluggish about sorting small packages since they resumed full duty.

Replace the alternator and sell the old one. Make sure you buy one that hasn't been tampered with. Your mechanic will know better.

Blame the pandemic. I have a package that took 20 days to arrive Nigeria and the wait for the package to arrive my local PO is currently 7 days and counting.

No photocopy? Apply for a reissue. The next question is whether you can remember your D/L Number.

Tip: Scan all original documents and upload to a storage cloud to avoid these kind of situations.

Also,I have never seen water in them even in the rainy season.

Ok. Check them out during the next rainy season. The beds should receive water supply from the river flowing through Charanchi if they are still active.

You know in the core northern states like Katsina, there are so many places that were once rivers, but are now totally dry.

Some of the places may have been rivers 1000 years ago.

These small rivers actually flow during heavy rains and when water is released from the dams scattered across the state.

From the village,I trekked to another village,then to another village.

All the villages are in Batagarawa local government area of Katsina state.

In between 2 villages,I never entered any town.

In between 2 villages was a grassland Savannah.
