The FIFA U-20 WOMEN'S WORLD CUP has began.

Mexico is currently playing against Brazil and it's 2 goals appease.

FIFA under Infantile seems not to be interested in female football and this competition is a reflection of that. The girls are playing on training pitches.
Mexico takes the lead.

64min Mexico 3-2 Brazil

Watching SA league and am impressed with their stadia unlike ours which can give one eye sore. We need to wake up and improve our league. We must be transparent in biz deals cuz no one will want to put money where it can't be accounted for.
hahaha... Those guys are ahead of us in Soccer. Na because de no get talents.

Dutch, Irish, Brazilians etc all de play for their league. If they can have a platform to accomodate foreigners like the French national team in their senior team they can form a very formidable team.

But they actually LOOK more talented than our NPFL players. They seem to know the rudiments of the game. Granted our presentation is very poor. Poor pitches do not aid a free flowing game.
Poor pitches as you stated above coupled with poor camera angles makes
the NPFL an eyesore.

Presently watching ABSA LEAGUE match between Pirates and Highlands. Both teams is made up of young boys...

South Africa's problem is not organization but lack of TALENT. Their league is the best on the continent.

Great setup. But will puel try it out?

I think they can adopt it now. Mahrez is gone. The coach should be able to tweak formations and patterns now.

Iheanacho with another goal.. Man on fire
This will help his confidence going forward into the new season.

But he'll have to fight it out with Vardy. A goal against Man U Will go a long way. Presently playing behind the striker seems unrealistic considering Leicester new signing Maddison. Dude is a baller... Nacho needs to keep fighting...

Wishing him the best

We wouldn't have qualified if it was only the group winners. We have every right to qualify since the top 2 qualified as a result of the nation's cup expansion.
True talk... Based on previous qualification pattern where only group winners progresses, I think we would have bid farewell to the competition.

Loosing your first game at home to a group contender is actually suicidal. Been grouped alongside two African football minnows like Seychelles and Libya(presently unstable) is dicey. Those two nations can pull a TChad on us and voila we are a goner.

We need a resounding victory over Seychelles in our next encounter.

On another note, how many groups do we have for AFCON qualifiers?

Let's just wait because if Giwa accepts to withdraw his case Nigeria would be the biggest winner because apart from helping us to avoid a ban it will bring back a much needed private club. Tbh the Giwa ban left a bad taste in some people's mouths especially the how the club got taken out of the NPFL.
with the proposed offer of reinstalling his club Giwa FC. I see it as a win-win for both parties if they can reach a mutual concession.

But the question now is this. Will Giwa agree to have his club join the NNL? Cos that is the only feasible way of getting them back in to the folds of Nigeria Football League.

It is all but confirmed that Ola Aina will be farmed out on loan by Chelsea before the transfer window closes for business, with manager Maurizio Sarri omitting the Nigerian defender from the last two rosters for games against Inter Milan and Arsenal.

As reported by Football Insider, West Brom are in the market for a right-back after missing out on the signature of Yeovil’s Tom James and have switched their attentions to Ola Aina.

The Baggies are preparing to lodge a loan bid for the Chelsea fullback and they need to conclude negotiations before the next six days as the transfer window in England will close on August 9.

Aina impressed during his first loan spell away from Stamford Bridge, making 46 appearances in all competitions for Hull City, including 44 starts.

The 21-year-old was given false hope that he was in the plans of Sarri after he traveled with the first-teamers to Australia for a friendly against Perth Glory, but has been training with the 'loan group' since the squad returned to the United Kingdom.

Central defenders Kenneth Omeruo and Fikayo Tomori are the other players of Nigerian descent linked with a temporary departure from Chelsea this month.
hmmm... Dude should not go to the championship OOO. A mid-table English team or French league 1 side won't be a bad move.

Hello folks! Any update on Salisu's saga? It is now 1 week and counting... Baba jazz strong o.

On the other hand, the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup has so far received low publicity. Can't even believe the tournament is starting in few days time. We only hope our ladies will do us proud.

Ebuehi's ACL injury news was so painful. Wishing the young man quick recovery. Aina it's your time to grab that RB position. Don't let it slip away.

Happy Nacho has started burying some balls. Hope he can keep scoring and discover his old sef. Success seems revitalized. Someone seem to have talked sense into him. Hoping for injury free season for them all.

@Tbaba1234, how far with the PSG deal? Is it still on?

Can somebody remind me the last time a Nigeria team featured its best 11 at that moment? Or is it an impossible/unachievable thing to line up the best players a country can boast of at a particular time? Cos in Nigeria's case, it is either one player is missing cos of misunderstanding with the coach or he is too old, he is not in the good books of the admins, he lacks team spirit, he refuses to grease palms and so on...

Salisu's unscrupulous action has further tainted our image on the international scene and has set us back in term of football progress...

His action will not only affect him but the whole of Nigeria Football... From the Players to the Coaches, the referees and administrators too are not exempted from this backlash.

The trust we are fighting to build with both CAF and FIFA has been dealt a huge blow now.

This is very painful.

Why SALISU YUSUF? See What you have done to yourself.

I hope the NFF do the needful. We don't need this man Going forward. I am always of the opinion that he does not have what it takes to handle the SEs. His performance as a caretaker coach after Oliseh left was not the true reflection of his personality and ability.

I have this conviction he would do just enough to force Rohr's hands before the next Eagles gathering in September to battle for that top 9 position with Simmy, Achor, Kayode, and possibly the duo of Success and Awoniyi.
NACHO? Let him start scoring for Leicester first.

We need to stop pampering these boys with international call-ups. No need of pending invitation to any player is not cutting it at club level.

Rohr needs to be on the lookout for seasoned goal keepers. The likes of Akpeyi and Ezenwa should be allowed to retire in peace alongside Ighalo, Echiejile, Onazi, Joel and Co. They’ve served their Father's land and it's time for them to rest and eat the fruit of their labour.

The oldest keeper Eagles should have should not be more than 24years old.
