Have being a silent reader of this great thread. I know the optimist , pessimist and the opportunists of this thread. At this juncture though,if nigeria fails to qualify from the group, I will stop supporting them because I don't know what else to be done to make the eagles fly. This time around everything was done for them and the boys refuse to fly. Am heartbroken cry
No be only you. Us loosing is not the problem but How we lost.

It was a game we could have convincingly!

TheGoodJoe has always been right.

Iheanacho would have done better and offer more if played in Ighalo's position.
Ighalo is not mobile.
He can't press. His movements off the ball is wack.

We just keep blaming the midfielders for lack of supplies but they ain't the problem but Ighalo himself. He does not know how to open up for passes. Or is it not the same midfield that was behind Nacho and Musa?

Well, here I know it is over. Rohr is stubborn. Salisu is clueless. But wait I thought there was suppose to be a video assistant in the stands. Oh no! We went to the World Cup at the wrong time.

From someone who once wore the shoe and knows where it pinches, Okocha ;

“It was a decent first half but maturity was the edge the Croatian team had over the Nigerian team,” Okocha said on SuperSport, where he was a guest analyst, after the game.

“The Super Eagles got done by the movements of the Croatian team in their box. The Super Eagles midfielders were not doing their best both in defending and in attack.

“Eagles didn’t get the best out of Alex Iwobi and Victor Moses because the manager was trying to accommodate Mikel Obi in the team.

“The manager didn’t earn his money today. We were not a threat in the first half and I was expecting him to play three at the back, five players in the midfield and two strikers to the team a chance to get back into the game.

“It is sad because I know we can do better than this. Of course there is still hope but we have to do it the hard way now.

“These (Croatians) are world class players who know how to win by exploiting little details.”
Okocha also blamed Rohr for deploying Mikel in the creative role.

“We didn’t have a creative player today,” the former Nigeria No.10 added. “Mikel has been a good servant to the national team. His best position is playing in front of the defence. We saw what he did playing for Chelsea where he had a glorious career.

“The most creative player in that team is Alex Iwobi but he was played on the flanks. He (Iwobi) can play on the flanks at Arsenal because they had better players in that role like Mesut Ozil.

“The reason why we lost was because we played our best players out of their positions.

“Playing Mikel in that position didn’t help Moses and Iwobi on the flanks.”
samething folks here have been talking about since time immemorial but Rohr no gree hear word. The man is so conservative that he started an ineligible player in a dead rubber game.

Let me ask you a question, I would like if you gave a honest reply.
How good was Ndidi and Mikel in the middle, especially with their ball distribution? How good was Iwobi? These guys were responsible for Nigerias inability to launch a sustained attack worthy of breaching Croatia.
Why is nobody talking about Ekong's cheap penalty give away? Was the Croatian player going to score if he left him alone?
How about the 2 center backs positioning in the box when the first corner kick went in? Do you know, none of our defenders where in position to get the second ball off that corner?

We don't want to mention all these but the whole blame is on Shehu of course. This is the reflection of the Nigerian society, were the perceived weak and defenseless are targeted. Sad reality of our times.
hahaha why is Shehu weak and defense less? See something o.

On Ekong, I have pointed his error out. But he was busy trying to cover up for the same Shehu through out the game. No wonder he was stretched to the breaking point and he yielded.
He even turned Moses into a full back.

We are not saying that he was very poor today, he was just average.
He offers nothing going forward as a right back and lacks pace, he was easily outpace on more than two occasions.especially when out of position.
Ebuehi is faster, is a threat going forward and also recovers faster than shehu when out of position.
It got to a time Moses was like Shehu move make I pass to you.

But did you know what Shehu kept doing.? He kept standing in front of Moses and staring at the ball.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by AIG07: 12:04am On Jun 17, 2018
When your full backs are poor and clueless.,there is nothing your wingers can do.

Shehu a full back that can not open up space to receive pass for crossing is that one a fullback?

Bascovanveli and Goldfish80, you guys are not honest with the truth. Shehu was below par. Even Idowu though not phenomenal improved on his game.

Why did you think Modric kept playing those long balls to his side. They knew Shehu was not just it.
He was caught out of position so many times. Not a single cross from him.

In short he was Echiejile on the right.

We were so slow off the blocks. No urgency whatsoever, don't know why Mikel played for that long.
People blaming Ighalo are not being fair as he should have been used for the Iceland match and his physicality would have been appreciated. Iwobi on the flanks today did not make sense.
Shehu did not help the attack and struggled in defence.
Maybe Mikel should play DM and remain there.
To be honest I really did not believe we could win but to lose like this is unacceptable.
They need to redeem themselves and stay off social media abeg.
All this fashion and singing is for Nations cup standard.
This is the world cup.
I expect a response even if we do not qualify from the group. Show them them the Naija way of playing football not all these crap
Ighalo is a no no for me. Physicality without intelligence is a no no for me. He is physical but not intelligent. The world stage is beyond been physical. It's more of brain than brawl.

Look at how the Croats got away with their fouls on our players. An elbow on Balogun, not a single player called for a foul...they were all forming posh. The ref wouldn't have picked Ekongs foul if he was smart enough. He threw himself on the guy like a kid.

The Croats wanted to take out Moses. They kept fouling him yet non of our guys told him to go check the video. They were busy smiling.

We have a long way to go as a continent.

Shehu did good and people are still making up lies about him being poor just to get Ebuehi in the squad.
My only problem was starting Ekong over Omerou and leaving Mikel on the pitch so long. We have to come to terms that Uzoho will make a mistake every match.
BABA SHEHU was the weakest link in the team today!

Rohr got it wrong from the word Go.

He thought we are still playing against African sides that is all strength and physicality. That was why he started Shehu.

Not a single cross came from his side. Moses did more of defensive work than attacking today no thanks to a poor fullback. I am pissed off.

Can somebody explain to me how shehu started ahead of Ebuehi?

Hmmmmm... I just hope it's not what I'm thinking. The power that be...

A match we could have easily won or drew. This is so pissing.

I don't know what to say sef. So sad!

. I'm telling you. Abeg next time,I don't want to see Iheanacho on the bench. How Rohr does it I don't care to know. And please he should play Iwobi and Iheanacho together. Their camaraderie is similar to The Oyinbo Wall's. Bring Ighalo in the 2nd half. Another thing,I don't want to see Shehu play any group stage match again. Now Ebuehi will have a lot to do. Mtcheww
