Siddon look mode activated. I am not in support of buying a player for 100m especially one that does not want to come anyway and that wont score goals at Cronaldo levels.
We will "crush" Madrid by buying the right players at the right price and defeating them at the Champs League final NOT by wasting money on players while other clubs like Barca, Real, Juve and Bayern add wisely to their squads.
We wasted money on Falcao, wasted money on Di Maria and hopefully this wont be another waste. Guy Madrid have wasted money on countless players who flopped. Kaka for example at Madrid, ibra and kleberson at barca, goetze at bayern, e.T.c. Every transfer is a risk none is 100% guaranteed.

We are not in a battle with Madrid. We are simply trying to improve out team.

Also the major reason Di Maria flopped was Van Gaal and his tactics. Look at the amount of players that have flopped under Van Gaal despite being very good players when they came here: Darmian, Rojo, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, Deepay, Di Maria, Falcao, Van Persie. There's no way these amount of good players would flop under managers like Mourinho, Guardiola, Klopp, e.T.c

We bought Di Maria because he just had a world class season for Madrid playing in a 3 man midfield. He started his first few games for us in that position and was the best player on the field. All of a sudden Van Gaal thought it wise to move him to the wing and striker positions and that's when the trouble started.

I don't think the Pogba deal is a feck you to Madrid. I don't view it that way.

It's clear that mourinho has a clear vision of how he wants his side to play this season. He already knows his first choice line up and what tactics will be used. Pogba was probably key to that.

We have a transfer budget of 200 million for this summer. Signing Pogba will mean we've spent between 150 to 160 million of it already.

Under Van Gaal that was the same amount we spent per summer and he used it to buy 6 to 7 good players. Where have those good players taken us? 4th and 5th place. I prefer this new strategy. We're still spending the same amount of money but we've gone for less quantity and more quality.

Reports are also saying we've made a bid for Gabriel Jesus a Brazilian attacker. Along with Gabriel Barbosa he's the next big thing out of Brazil since Neymar. You guys can check them out at the coming Olympics.

Abeg with Gabriel and Jesus on our side why teams no go fear.

Exactly mehn. Kante, Mkhitaryan, Ibra all left UCL teams and these are big players.

But I think it has to do with a little more than money. Yes the money his important but I think the size and prestige of the club also play a big role

It didn't take Januzaj and Rashford time to grab their opportunity. Even Lingard has been one of our top three performance in all pre-season since Moyes era. Here we are waiting forever for Perreira to boss just one game.

I don't think Perreira started any game last season except the cup game and he bossed that game. All the players you mentioned were given a chance the show their ability with a lot of starts.

You can't judge Perreira based on a few substitute appearances played out of position. Hope he can get 7-10 starts this season.

Watched highlights of Mkhitaryan's performance today. Really impressive.

I have not seen anything outstanding about this Perreira since watching him play for us. He has only had one above average match for us a a Capital One cup fixture. The rest time he allows the rhythm of the game to swallow him, whether he starts or come in as a sub.

That's because the guy usually came on when we were defending a lead and not doing much attacking. Also Van Gaal played him as a winger, while he is decent there his best position is as a central midfield playmaker.

I honestly believe with good coaching and mentoring he can reach Pogba's level maybe even surpass him. His passing and technique are excellent. He should be a squad player this season, maybe get Europa, capital one and f.a cup games.

Believe me Verratti is no inferior player. He's the best top young midfielder at present. There's a reason Xavi tried to tap him up for Barca and why Psg chairman came up with his tripe that if Barca tried to lure Verratti, he will bid for Messi.
Anyway, the best player in Juve team last season was Dyabala while their best midfielder was Marchiso. If he couldn't even be Juve's best midfielder after the likes of Pirlo and Vidal left, then what are we saying? There was also Mario Lemina who looked good everytime he played and was Juve best midfielder during the time the likes of Marchiso and Khedira were out, injured.

Pogba is not a holding midfielder and that's one of the reasons he was invisible in the final. He was clearly given instructions to sit in front of the defence and make play from there. That is not the Pogba that is worth 100 million.

He's a dynamic box to box midfielder, more of a 10 even. Look at his performance against Switzerland when Kante was sitting giving Pogba the freedom to roam and attack. If not for a good keeper who was on mad form that night and the bar Pogba would have finished them that day. The same thing happened versus Germany, Deschamps told him to sit in front of the defence but the one opportunity he had to go forward he showed a great piece of skill and created the second goal for France.

Don't judge players based on international tournaments. Even the sissoko you're raving about Newcastle fans can't wait for him to leave because he performs nonsense during the season and is lazy on the field. If we use international tournaments as a barometer then Eduardo Vargas should be playing for Madrid, Barca or Bayern. The guy usually lights up tournaments for Chile but look at his record in club football. 2 goals in 24 appearances last season for hoffenheim, 3 in 21 for qpr, 3 in 17 for Valencia, would you still want him in your team based on internationals?
