Paul, the octopus predicted that Germany will win against Uruguay
and Spain will win the world cup.
So I guess we don't need to watch the matches cos he never failed in this tournament.

I really do not know who that girl is. I have only made alot of photos about the carnival of cultures
for the African magazin for which I am working as journalist sometimes.

If Germany should make it to the final and win the world cup then be sure
that this team made it not only for Germany but also for Poland, Tunesia, Brazil,
Nigeria (yes!) , Ghana, Bosnia Herzegowina, Turkey. The players are always playing
for both countries,  the one in which they live and the one which they came from, 


Germany's National Anthem talks about the brotherhood of man, unity in Heart and Hand,
blooming the glow of happiness at unity, right and freedom.

The banner at the beginning of this match said Say NO to Racism, a wonderful sentiment.
Germany is multicultural now, with many different people living here. The team too, is
made up of diverse players,  Mehr anzeigen. Two are from Silesia (Germans have lived
there since the Holy Roman Empire), one from Turkey, one from Brazil, two from Africa,
etc. They embody TEAM effort, which is why they demolished the Argentinians, who relied
on a "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" mentality, with players supporting one or two
stars. Oh and Germany play amazing, gosh darn football!!!

With this we are back to the topic.

Well, I had a more bad feeling before the Argentina match. Jogi Löw has always found the right answer and he also will find a solution to beat the Spain. And if not it is not a shame. The Mannschaft will be celebrated to the highest because they gave us so much joy.

Though my heart follows La Furia Roja, I feel Germany deserve to play in the final.

Sie wird, wann immer die Nationalhymne zu offiziellen Anlässen erklingt, nicht mehr gesungen und Kinder in der Schule lernen sie nicht mehr. Aber es ist nicht verboten diese Strophe im privaten Kreis zu singen.
Ich dachte auch, dass sie verboten ist, bis ich einmal die Polizei gerufen habe, weil jemand in unserer Nachbarschaft die komplette Hymne gesungen hat und dazu noch etliche neonazistische Lieder. Die Polizei klärte mich dann auf, dass diese neonazistischen Lieder verboten sind, aber nicht die vollständige Nationalhymne.
