But it is not only the octopus.

There is also this inexplicable connection between McDonald's and Germany.  grin  grin  grin

Commercial:  McDonald's and German world champions

In 1954 the company McDonald's is founded - and shortly after Germany becomes world champion.

In 1974 the BigMac celebrates his first birthday - and shortly after Germany becomes world champion.

In 1990 McDonald's opens his first branch in Eastern Germany - and shortly after Germany becomes world champion.

In 2010 McDonald's introduces the MacWrap - and shortly after Germany. . . . . . now, that you can imagine.

SportsRe: Germany comprehensively whoops England (Finals score 4-1) by ajalio(f): 7:50am On Jun 27, 2010
In this match everything can happen. It is difficult to say who will win.

England squad, though experienced, is not in the best form and Germany team has some young players which lack experience.

Though, our "oracle" has said Germany will win. . . .  LOL . . . It is so crazy. grin
Since the tournament started, they "ask" an octopus if Germany will win or not by putting two see through boxes with food in the aquarium. One box with German flag and one with flag of the opponent. From which box the octopus takes the food at first that team will win.
The curiosity is that the octopus has not failed up to now. He ate from Serbia box at first before that match while he
ate from German box before the other two matches.

And also yesterday the octopus ate from German box at first.

In any case I wish it will be a fair match.

GO GERMANY!!!

Kx:
In summary, nigerian players are below average players. little wonder they are bench warmers in europe.
Interestingly, our world cup record is 419.
draw       4
win          1
loss          9

In a country that ranks high in corruption and other vices, is it a mere coinincidence?
Well, if I can still count, the world cup record is 518

draw   5
win      1
loss     8

even if it may feel as like 419.

btw, the crossfoot in both cases is 14, Is it a sign to 2014?  grin
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs South Korea: 2 - 2 @ World Cup 2010, June 22 by ajalio(f): 6:13pm On Jun 22, 2010
1. I expect a victory from Argentina against Greece. That should be fact.
2. Ghana get played off the park by Germany tomorrow.

So I really really hope and wish that Nigeria will beats South Korea today
and make it up to the next round at first for herself, but also as last standing
African team in this tournament. What a grace would that be. Imagine!!!
FoodRe: Mamas Over 35 What Was Used To Make Food Taste Before Maggi Came by ajalio(f): 7:14pm On Jun 20, 2010
90% of the content materials are produced artificially. Taste amplifier, glutamate, yeast extract and a lot of fat. Practically nothing is real in the cube.

Yeast and fat make thick!
Cooking with fresh herbs and spices is better always. If one needs broth or vegetable stock for a food, one should cook it themselves.

still holding high the flag of Germany  grin

Do you do not get tired to defend Germany?

Well, when I think of that it is just a sport event, no more no less,

Sometimes a team wins and sometimes it loses. What is the problem? I can not understand.

We all should have fun together. . . .  and it is said "sport unites people" . . . .  this is still a dream

sssshhhhhhh, don't let it hear my husband. grin grin grin

gunners 4eva is his motto, no matter what happens.

Yes, Berlin without team in the top league, but we can live with.

When I consider Germany with Nigeria, then Germany has not half of this
football fanatism that Nigeria has. It is great to see with how much heart Nigerians
support their chosen team. I find it only sad that they support mostly
foreign teams instead of being interested in their own league.

In the capital city without any football team in der 1. Bundesliga, next season? sad

Yes, it's my home town and right now am here for some days.
But will go back to Lagos very soon.

To be honest, I am not and was never really interested in Bundesliga and have no team which I support.
For the sake of my husband I try to be a fan of the Gunners, but it is not easy. grin

okay okay, I was wrong with my prediction.  grin

cannot wait for the match of the youngest team against the second youngest team.

Ghana vs. Germany, though, there is only a difference of 0,2 years

@Sauron

we have players from 7 nations in our team. Who has more?

When will people let rest the past and look forward. But even in Nigeria it seems the past
cannot be buried.

Very sad!

SportsRe: World Cup Group D; Germany Vs Australia [4 - 0] On Sunday 13th June 2010 by ajalio(f): 2:45pm On Jun 13, 2010
It will be difficult for Germany to score because Australia has a very strong defence.
And we have the youngest team since long because of many injured players. I am not
sure if the young new players like Badstuber, Marin, Özil etc. are not too exited in their
first World Cup. Germany also has almost always lost the first match, apart from 2006.
I think it will be a match with some hard fouls from both and the score line is absolutelly open.
Everything can happen.
