The Nigerian Army has described as a mere propaganda the two video clips released by Boko Haram terrorists recently freed in exchange for the 82 abducted Chibok school girls.

In the first clip the terrorists, among other things, made boastful allegations including threatening to bomb the country's capital, Abuja while the second clip was about alleged indoctrination of some of the abducted Chibok school girls in captivity.

But in response to the video, Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier-General Sani Kukasheka Usman said the terrorists were just seeking attention and have lost touch with realities.

"We wish to state that the terrorist has lost touch with current realities".

"It was aimed at seeking relevance and attention.

"As you are all aware, he was a direct beneficiary of the process that led to the release of 82 of the abducted girls and does not have a say or capacity to do anything, therefore his threats should be ignored".

"We would like to assure the public that the Nigerian Army is totally committed to the Federal Government’s determined efforts of rescuing all abducted persons and peace in the country".

"We will not relent our determined efforts of clearing the remnants of the Boko Haram terrorists as manifested through the ongoing clearance operations.

"The Nigerian Air Force is unrelenting in its bombardment while other Security Agencies are equally doing their best.

"Therefore, we wish to solicit for more support, cooperation and understanding of the public, particularly the members of the Press.


"We should not give in to terrorist propaganda and empty threats. We have come to a very critical stage of the fight against terrorism and insurgency in Nigeria that requires more patriotism and security consciousness by all and sundry.

"Gone were the days when people glamorize terrorists and their criminal acts," Usman said.

A twitter user, David Adeleke got accepted into a media workshop at Yale University and reached out to his followers to assist him in completing the financial requirements of $3,500.

Davido stumbled on it and offered to help, especially as he and the twitter user bear the same name.

An Instagram User @cutie_bee30 has blasted Comedian Bovi for cracking Jokes about singer Banky W and actress Adesua Etomi's engagement.

During his recent Bovi Man on fire show, the comedian joked about Banky W's proposal saying the singer was friend zoned by Adesua Etomi for more than a year because he slid into her DM as a comedian, not a singer.

Bovi said Adesua was thinking it was him (Bovi) not Banky toasting her, not until the singer's mum told him to sing to Adesua which he did, then she fell in love.

Bovi also joked about how Banky spelled "Marry" as "Maary", saying "the marriage already has problems from the wrong spelling"
