President Muhammadu Buhari has confirmed the latest release of 82 Chibok girls by Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram.

According to a statement released by his special adviser Garba Shehu, the girls regained their freedom after "lengthy negotiations" with the dreaded militant group, adding that some of the group's detained suspects were released in exchange for the girls.

Shehu also pointed out that the girls would be received at the presidential villa today, the 7th of May by President Buhari.

President Muhammadu Buhari is pleased to announce that negotiations to release more of the Chibok Girls have yielded results. Today, 82 more Chibok Girls were released. After lengthy negotiations, our security agencies have taken back these girls, in exchange for some BokoHaram suspects held by the authorities

The released Chibok Girls are due to arrive in Abuja tomorrow Sunday, May 7, and will be received by the President.

President Buhari expresses his deep gratitude to all who played a part in ensuring the success of this operation, as follows: Security agencies, the military, the Government of Switzerland, the International Committee of the Red Cross, & local and international NGOs.

The President has repeatedly expressed his total commitment towards ensuring the safe return of the Chibok Girls, and all other BH captives.

The President has received detailed briefings from the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) at every stage of the negotiations/operation.

Nollywood Actress, Mercy Aigbe has finally opened up on her marriage crisis. Mercy, shared photos of her battered face while challenging her husband, Lanre Gentry to back up his 'lies' with proof.

Recall, that in an interview with BON, Mr Lanre alleged that his wife and mother of his son, is mentally unstable and has slept with so many men.

The actress' estranged husband also swore that he had never beaten Mercy in their seven years of marriage despite the fact that he has caught her several times frolicking and fornicating with different men.

A Nigerian man, Chris Ani is filled with thanks after surviving a ghastly accident that could have taken his life on Monday.

Mr. Chris, a Pastor at Amazing cell Wisdom fellowship was left unscathed after his vehicle somersaulted four times.

Nigeria's vice president, Yemi Osinbajo has acknowledged Nigerian Jollof rice as the best anywhere in the world. He made the statement while addressing "the platform" at Christian covenant centre in Lagos.

Nigerians really believe in Prayers. This video shows some Mountain of Fire (MFM) Church members trying to use serious prayers to quench fire burning an LG Showroom at Lekki yesterday.

The prayer warriors are seen in the video speaking in tongues and calling upon the power of God to come down and quench the fire.

A facebook user, Ubong Kingsley-Udoh who shared the video wrote;

Mid-last year, I wrote about the rising growth of negative dogma and tradition in the church and some folks were quite unhappy. I'm still of the opinion that religion should be a lamppost used for illumination rather than support. While some of his colleagues were unlucky for extorting motorists and obstructing traffic in Ojodu – Berger Park, one Olayemi Ogunseye on Wednesday played a fast one by disowning his uniform in order to escape arrest by officials of Rapid Response Squad.

According to the media personnel at the Nigeria Police Force, Malik Nasir, Ogunseye abandoned his NURTW uniform when he saw RRS operatives, who invaded Ojodu – Berger Park in an enforcement of traffic laws and were arresting his colleagues.

He thereafter narrowly escaped being killed as he tried to hurriedly join a moving bus in order to escape the scene.

About eight miscreants were arrested by the operatives at the park in a move to clear traffic congestion in and outward Lagos.
