I saw a thread on the front page of Nairaland few days ago, as i discovering it was coming from the Islamic section I wanted to comment since i enjoy discussing religeon. To my greatest shock I saw a dialogue box when I clicked on the reply button. The message on the box read that if I'm a Muslim, I should click here but if not click this other button. The message went forth to say that if I opt for the Muslim button an Islamic profession of faith statement will be automatically put on my profile. Well knowing I wasn't a Muslim, I clicked on the No button and was blocked from the thread automatically. In fact I stopped seeing it on my front page If you have been on the news for a while you would have discovered that one of the most effective and easiest means of spreading Islamic terrorism is through social media. Through some terror websites, twitter and other social media terrorists share ideas and recruit new members. It is therefore a source of concern to me on the increasing separation or utter exclusivity of the Islamic discussion on Nairaland. First a board was created just for them with high level comment restriction to outsiders that can even attract a long time ban. And as if that was not enough, they are now using technology to eliminate any eye prying on their activity. I know some people will quickly say that not all Muslims have terrorist tendencies of which I agree but you never can tell the power of those that have it to gradually indoctrinate the rest. Also we don't know what the next generation of Yoruba Muslims (considered to be non terrorist) will turn out in our increasing changing and unpredictable world. Abdumutallab the pant bomber had a responsible non-terrorist father but was radicalized by association I therefore appeal Seun and the respective Nairaland personnel involved to end this hegemony for the interest of peace and security. I suspect that someone will try to pull down this thread and even ban me as there reaction always is, but even if it means evading other social media, calling on government and well meaning Nigerians, I will go any length to protect our collective security. ISIL, Boko Haram, al Qaeda etc are on the rise and desperate time require desperate measures All well-meaning, peace-loving Nairalanders should sign(like) this thread to jolt Seun to do the needful. I rest my case |
What's the origin of Oga is it Igbo or Yoruba? |
Researches show that most Nigerians don't read a post before they comment. If you doubt it visit Nairaland |
I overheard someones discussing with another person yesterday and he said "Thank God for Boko Haram" It caught my attention and I asked him why? He said the whitemen he works with said they won't leave Lagos for any other city, making him the sole operator in those areas with all the goodies that come with it. So it got me thinking: some people are actually profiting from this madness. Boko haram has added a voice to other terror group round the world to expose the ingenuity of a religious sect. While they think they are trying to convert people, the reasonable ones are getting tired of the religion by the day. The ones that have the money, relocate to another country to avoid being killed leaving most islamic nations with the dregs of the society. May they find Jesus and the peace He brings What other benefit do you think the Boko invasion has brought? |

Nairaland should be more of a family uniting Nigerians. so let's say we are in a family meeting and you wish to advice Seun, what will you say? |

I finished from UNIZIK in 2001, all my school fees was 8,500 Naira from year one to final year. That is 2,000 Naira per year. I thank God we didnt join other schools to go on their regular strikes. I dont know how my alma mater is doing now. I thank God for private universities for uplifting the standard of education in the country. You may say its for the rich, so who stops you from becoming rich? We shouldn't weaken the strong, in an attempt to strengthen the weak. |
Jesus was called Beelzebub( head of demons) the devil never changes method. Same old ways and people still fall for it |
braine: What kind of job does a pastor do to give way for purchase of such frivolous material? All at the expense of the poor majority of his congregation! And who gave you the statistics of poor people in his church. Most of you wish pastors are poor, it is the desire of the devil too, but its too late they have discovered their rights in Christ. If you as an ordinary member realize your right in Christ and work hard, you will join the rich class, its not meant for pastors alone but some are leading by example. It was Judas who criticized Mary for spending on Christ with the argument that such spending should have been given to the poor, an argument Jesus countered(John 12:3-5). The same old trick of the devil: trying to use compassion for the poor to stop believers from getting any favour. For crying out loud 90% people are poor by choice not by chance. Many had the same challenge that made them poor but utilized it to become rich while they were giving excuses. You don't expect me to be living poor just because their are people who refused to pay the price that I paid. Some people are making money now while some are always on Nairaland lazying and looking for the next pastor to criticize, later in life they will look for those to blame for their poverty: either government or uncle. I have told myself, I have no reason to be poor and even if I am a pastor, it has not changed my conviction. Hate me as you can, its not my fault, I labour for it like some pastors do Disclaimer: Please note that I am not saying there are no theifing men of God, but such people often return to poverty, karma catches up with them. And even if not, they will pay the ultimate price but it is not you that should judge a God's servant(Rom 14:4), no not in a public forum, bible is against it; it is not you that should join the camp of the accuser of the brethren (Rev 12:9-11)except you are working for the devil yourself |
Never trust any Forbes Africa report, unlike the US the guy does no research. He once wrote one funny piece on "the richest Nigerian pastors" Any person who knows even a little about Nigeria will know that that guy though a Nigerian knows little about his country and relies on hear say. Whereas I admire these women mention but in a true list of people to emulate, some of these people will not make the top 50 list. It all depends on who is ranking sha. The dude concentrated on fashion and beauty with one doctor. What happened to intellectuals and hardline entrepreneurs? What happened to Alakija, Chimamanda, Ngozi Iwealla, Oby Ezekwesili(Due process), etc |
I wonder what these distraction topics are doing on Front Page when the most trending news in the country is hidden. They say it's a family affair but Governor Chimes husband wife issue had front page coverage on a daily basis. Chime and the open letters which one is more a national issue than family? I'm beginning to smell a rat |

In the camp meeting going on now in Redemption camp by Dominion City Church, Pastor David Ogbueli in his message warned J. Martins who is a committed member of the church. J. Martins who has long gone secular in his musical career has been a member of the church in over a decade and still comes to major programmes where he handles the key board. Members of the church have always wondered why Pastor David Ogbueli- President of Dominion City well known for his rigid stance on holiness (due to his Deeper Life background)have allowed J. Martins come to church all this while and even handle musical instruments But Pastor Ogbueli was very hard on Martins today when he warned him with these words "You can not lead others to hell with your music and enter heaven through the back door; I am not saying you must play Christian Music but there are secular lyrics that are neutral and pass positive message. There was a place I saw you a pastor wedding PSquare in a video, there's nothing wrong with that but for you to be playing music that promotes lewdness and still be coming to church is not a guarantee you would go to heaven" J. Martins who started putting on ear rings when he went secular has always made brethren to know that no scandal has ever been associated with him because he knew where he was coming from. He made it clear that he neither smokes nor womanizes only plays music as "a business". That just as a business man must not label Christ in his products to be regarded as a believer, he is not under any obligation to sing about Christ to be christian.

What amazes me is how the Bible is always accurate in prophecies. Jesus said that "a time is coming when those that kill you will think they are doing God a favour".(John 16:1-4) Does it not strike you how islam fit into this picture centuries later. In Islam Jihad literally translates to "the race to please God" For more on what the Bible says about Islam, Jihad and terrorist click this blog below http://judewatchman..co.uk/2010/01/suicide-bombing-according-to-bible-by.html |
