myners007:Thank you but I am looking for job recommendations, not a deliverance session. If you have any, I'd be glad to learn about it. |
Today is Monday and like every other weekday, people leave their homes to work but yours truly is not proud to report that he has no job to go to, so I am using this medium to announce to you that I am looking to make a continued and significant contribution for an organisation that needs a multi-skilled, multi-tasking individual within a team-working environment. I have a B.A in English Language and Literature (2:1), Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management, and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Affairs. My interest areas are in Administration, Customer Service, Human Resources Management, and Media. Other sectors can also call in as I am not limited to the aforementioned. How would you like an excellent communicator, one who is self-directed, and able to lead a multidisciplinary team as part of your staff? Make that wise choice today. Call me on 08030880973. *********************************************** The English up there is that I am looking for a job. You can give me recommendation(s). My current location is Port Harcourt, Rivers State, but I am willing to relocate.

Chi bọọ anụ ọzọ! [Wonders never cease]. Yesterday, we were told that children are the leaders of tomorrow. Today, those children have come of age(?). They have become adults, or what those who made us promises of becoming leaders of tomorrow term YOUTHS. As there are two sides to a coin, so are there two sides to other things, objects, and concepts. Nigerian Youths are not left out in this categorisation. So, it happens that I want to talk about the other side of Nigerian Youths. Nigerian Youths have failed to rise up to the occasion. They allow the elite use them to fan the embers of violence and disunity. They prefer the crumbs that fall from the tables of these elites to the whole that is rightfuly theirs while their 'paymasters' suck us to their full. What is more troubling is the fact that you can barely hold a discourse with these set of people. They do not argue with fact(s) yet they do not care to listen when you try to put them right. For them, arguments are won with loud voices. These people hold whatever they believe in so dear that you dare not go against them. Their opinions are right and true, so who are you to have an opposing view? You cannot correct them, you cannot criticise them [even constructively], and you certainly cannot oppose their views! Most people believe that secession is the answer; whatever the case, we crave for a good polity whether as a united people or in parts but how do we handle these people whose voices are louder than ours? How do we contend with them who asks us not to air our views publicly? How ready are these set of people to take up the mantle of leadership? Answers to these questions blow in the wind. |

Love is a beautiful thing. When you find it, hold it dear. I hate that I NEED you! Lately, I have been thinking – about me, you – about us. In my head, I have gone through everything – how we came to know each other. How you professed feelings for me and how I reacted to them. I was not feeling you. You were on rebound and I am not one to take advantage of a person in such situation. "What will happen when you're over him then you realise that you did not want me? " I asked myself each time I try to consider. Time passed and I let myself fall for you – helplessly. Like a leaf. Boom! You were back with him. You warned me, but I did not heed. I thought you wanted to be sure about my feelings for you, which I had started preaching about. "We should just be friends. Fine friends." I was not having any of those. I hung around, persistently, sometimes annoyingly. The longer I stood, the deeper I fell until I could no longer go a second without a thought about you. Thoughts of you filled my head. Everyday, I went over pictures of you on Facebook, pictures I had seen countless times. I became obsessed! Your warnings vanished. Time stopped. I stopped thinking straight. Subliminally, I knew he was very much around yet I lurked. I did not spare thoughts for him. I enjoyed every bit of the goodness you brought. Your warm company. Your grace. Your smile. Sometimes when I think of you, I feel betrayed by my own body – the way my lips part to give off a smile became constant. You brought warmth, joy, laughter, and knowledge. Who would dare lose such embodiment of rectitude? Here we are, unsure of nothing. Lately, I fight the temptation of believing that I have been or am being used. I tell myself that you still feel it. I know you still feel it but what are our chances? The last time I felt this way about anyone was before I existed. It hurts to know that my chances are slowly vanishing. It does! Nevertheless, you have found love, do not lose it. Allow no distraction. Hold on to what is yours. I will be damned if I ever have to apologise for loving you. I do NOT rue it. It will take a while before I become sane again, however, sane I must, for I need. I hope my recovery does not take too long, for I need to focus my energy on things that would affect my life positively. I have to step back and lick my wounds; the consequence of my stubbornness. I need a clear head going forward. At the right time, love will find me. |
It's a new day, a new week, a new month, and a new year! While most people crossed over to the new year crying out their hearts to God; some others were in clubs, hotels, bars, restaurants, etc. If you were not in a church, there is no blame or shame in that; after all, prayers do not solve any problem. What this mean is that sheer prayer without attacking the issue headon or working towards a solution to your problem is useless (see James 2:14). It is 2017, and like 2016 and years past, people have made and will make resolutions going into it. While some will focus on the things they want, others will go ahead to effect changes they want to see. However, the best resolution, in my opinion, is to be a new being -- a new you. Resolve to be a better version of you! Strive for perfection. Crack jokes more, laugh more, give more. If you are one of those who make other people in public transport uncomfortable with your scent, get yourself a deodorant/body spray -- such things are available and affordable. When you brush your teeth, clean your tongue. You do not have to be embarrassed before you can keep good hygiene. Do the right thing: it is for you! Talk less, listen more. If a neighbour reaches their target before you, be happy for them, merry with them. Love more. Envy no one! |
LegendaryArnold:...is a problem. |
"Of all emotions a person can feel, love is the scariest and hardest to heal." -- David Charlton. The loss of a loved one is a difficult experience to deal; especially when it starts beautifully and amazing like many love stories, then goes downhill too fast. You feel hurt, sorrowful, and the pain in your heart is deep. No wonder some never fully recover. If you've been with someone whom you let change your thought process and influence your actions, you'll understand better. If you've been with someone whom you made your go-to when you feel sad, irritated, or when you have a bad day, you'll understand better. If you've been with someone whom you breathe, live for, or smile at the thought of, you'll understand better. If you make someone so important, they can tear your heart in sunder and walk away with half your life. If you've ever lost someone you love, this is for you. |
