Onlytruth:
At this time, I have to say that anyone from the Eastern region who ridicules the idea of a holiday for Ojukwu is truly a goat. You can never deny the man his place in history, the minimum of which is that he was a governor of the WHOLE Eastern region, and he acquitted himself very creditably in our time of crisis, when Easterners irrespective of tribe were being hunted down and killed in the North and West of Nigeria. One calabar guy escaped from Kaduna and narrated his story. It was not different from what other Easterners experienced.
The civil war itself was fought by ALL Easterners on BOTH sides. Some Igbo fought for Nigeria, just like some non-Igbos of Eastern region. It is self deceit to distant from Ojukwu and what he stood for as Governor of Eastern region which produced the Aburi document which would have served EVERY tribe in the East, and even Nigeria for that matter. Even Yorubas are now calling for implementation of Aburi - a solid 45 years after they rejected it.

I would advise every minority Easterner to never forget, that we Ndigbo can stay in Nigeria and make hay. In fact if we do, it would LIKELY serve us more than them. It is already serving us more even today. You can quote me on that. The problem with the Igbo man (which I try to counsel them against in private conversations) is that we are too consciencious when dealing with other Nigerians. Most of the time, we lament the injustices against oil producing communities of the "SS" (non-Igbo areas, and some areas which deny being Igbo) as passionately as we would lament whatever we feel that is wrong with the way Nigeria treats us. It does not mean that we cannot join the thieves from elsewhere, ravage the place and leave it to die a slow death. We can do that. In fact if some of you people continue this mindset, Igbo will DEFINITELY change with time to resemble those some of you respect more . We shall then see how things would look.

This Ojukwu's burial will help open our eyes more concerning how some of you view us, and will likely shape our vision for ourselves in Nigeria. So, BE VERY CAREFUL.
If you don't want to obverse any holiday, fine, no problem. Go about your business, as I'm sure that some Igbo will go about their business. But don't come here talking nonsense.
There can only be ONE burial for Ojukwu, but the future of Nigeria is still very undefined. Don't eat today and die tomorrow.

My Igbo brothers, please ignore Yoruba devils on this thread.

CONGRAX TO IGBOVILLE
on their successful evacuation of Igbos in maidugiri!!

The exclusive Facebook Group of Ndi-Igbo at home and in the Diaspora, Igboville, has just successfully evacuated our stranded umunne in Maidugiri via GUO Motors. Members of the group contributed money for the successes of the evacuation. Onuru ube nwanne ya agabala oso. Those who responded to the cries of Igbo shows that their love for Igbo is not merely verbal but demonstrative and that they can be counted on to do something to give succor to an Igbo in distress whenever they can. Igboville did not wait for our tongue-twisting leaders to act. Igboville took the bulls by the horns and acted. IT IS NOT EASY! Again congratulations to Igboville.
Igboists, we want to also have our banner displayed this way next week when we should move our own buses. If you have not redeemed your pledge, do so. It is very wrong and unkind to pledge on something this significant and urgent only to renege on it and fail to redeem. It is even better not to have pledged at all. Don't toy with the life of your brothers and sisters, please. And those who have not contributed please do so right away. We are over 25000 members - there is no reason at 350k per bus we should not be able to move our buses.

boko Haram Crises: MASSOB Hires Buses For Igbos

To bail out Igbos stranded in the North, the leader of Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike has sent 20 luxury buses to convey his kinsmen to the East at no cost.

The gesture was announced in an advertorial in a national daily today. Igbos and other southerners are fleeing the north because of attacks on them by the Boko Haram fundamentalist sect. Uwazuruike noted that Igbos are stranded in the north as transport fares have gone up astronomically since they started returning to the East in droves to escape the incessant bomb attacks by the Boko Haram Islamist Sect. Uwazuruike said one of the 20 buses he hired will convey Igbos in Abuja back home while the remaining 19 will be distributed to other states in the north according to a formula based on exigencies.

The MASSOB leader assured the Igbo returnees that they will be initially quartered in Okwe, Onuimo Local Government Area of Imo State where a refugee camp already exists, adding that five refugee centres will be opened in the course of time, with two located in Imo and Anambra and one in Enugu State. For easy link with the buses and to begin arrangement to travel back to the East, Igbos in the North were advised to call two help lines, 07032635198 or 08038734457.

Uwazuruike reiterated his earlier call on Igbos in the North to send their wives and children home while the men could stay back to monitor their investments in the North. At a meeting held at the residence of the late Biafra leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, last weekend, Uwazuruike ordered Igbos in the North to return home since Boko Haram has not withdrawn its quit order on Christians and Southerners in the North.

Meanwhile, a political pressure group based in Northern Nigeria, Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF has justified the 2 January Boko Haram order issued to southerners residing in the north to leave or be attacked by the dreaded group.
ACF Wednesday at a press conference in Kaduna at the Sokoto Road ACF quarters said those blaming Boko Haram for issuing the order were unfair, when in the first place the southerners were the first to issue such order that northerners should leave the south .

Though ACF Chairman , Alhaji Aliko Mohammed said the group is not supporting Boko Haram for issuing such order, he said there was need to properly understand that the southerners started first before Boko Haram retaliated.
According to him, until the Federal Government wakes up to its responsibility of ensuring the security of Nigerians where ever they reside, the kin cool Igbos to leave, but later said the Igbos can go if they want to go.via

On his reaction concerning the large number of Igbos leaving the north, Mohammed claimed they as northern leaders have not asked the Igbos to leave, but later said the Igbos can go if they want to go.via
