its too early to argue about dis, lets wait a little and support the new coach, medjai: Nigeria verdict: Surprisingly, given the tactically astute nature of Lars Lagerback, Nigeria failed to demonstrate any real game plan and looked to run out of ideas when they got the ball in the final third. Playing a zonal marking system against a side of Argentina's quality was suicidal and a shaky defence was fortunate not to have conceded more than one goal http://soccernet.espn.go.com/report?id=264037&cc=3888&ver=global Nigeria approached the game against Argentina without a plan and this same Lagerback is better than Amodu? That game against should go down in history as our poorest ever which game are you talking of ? If it were Amodu that coached us against Argentuna, we would have conceded a minimum of six goals, because he would have started the game with Osaze & Martins, but will substitute them in 2nd Half with Etuhu and Odiah. @ Medjai, please, think straight before you post any comment on this thread. This place is meant for intellctuals and not ill-brained people. |

Our defence and mid-field is nothing to right home about. Our attackers are scared of taking the ball forward, despite the fact that the argentine's defence is slack. I don't understand this game, the eagles cannot hold on to the ball. Thank you Enyeama, best keeper.I believe we can still win this mach anyway, let's go watch the 2nd half and see what they have to offer. |

milkan05: I enter one bike from VI to Marina. Getting to Onikan, the guy just branch as if he was going to Obalende. Na im I hala for the guy say na Marina I call for am. Can you imagine that the aboki swore that i said Obalende? He said over his dead body that he would not take me to any marina o!!!
Since I was feeling irritated and obstinate on the day, I refused to drop from the bike and the guy actually started going round obalende in circles not minding his fuel! I so wanted to burst his head wide open but i was in suit and hard my corporate tie on. So i continued the ride till we saw one military man who intervened.
Bottom line?
I still had to drop at Obalende and the f-r-e-a-k-i-n-g silly 'molla (mallam, aboki or hausa dan iska)' had his way and wasted my time. Though I did not pay him, I was so infuriated that i wished i had a gun.
Got to the office angry and could not do jack again. Guy, I'll advise you don't take bikes ridden by those mallams, they're a serious pain in the butt. Only God saved my life one day on Toyin st. by Oceanic, @ Ikeja, the mallam suddenly hit his brakes in front of a speeding vehicle coming 4rm behind 4 no reason, I was lucky that the woman quickly swerved off the road and bashed another vehicle by the road side. the mallam having known what he has done fled the spot immediately. I lost my breadth for some seconds b4 I could say anything. Thank God I was saved on that day, although I still take bikes, I pray & caution the rider as much as possible. |

Falajuro: *Bizgirl*/*Ace(f)*
The tenth question would have been, "What is her idea of a happy married life?"
The picture I do have from your answers is one who is expecting so much from life because of a childhood background that was probably filled with sincerity. Later in life, she is still yet to come to terms with the realities of today, believing that what she gives out should equally be returned, and appreciated.
There can be no long-term solace being a concubine to, or married secretly or otherwise to a married man. There might have been a couple of failed relationships due to inequality in loving or in giving, yet, pulling yourself out of the doldrums require a very strong will to face the fact that love in the world today does have different meanings, hence a person who keeps a chain of lovers can still profess love "in the heat of the MOMENT".
All that glitters is not Gold! The question therefore arises about how one can find lasting ´security´ (not happiness) in a relationship, marriage or otherwise.
Some are lucky to be "happily married", while others are trying to make thing work between them. In one of the threads recently, a lady wants to go out of wedlock after 10 years, even though she has children already with the man. I know for a fact that, it is not all the relationships that she has been in that she has been the cause of the breakup. However, at 33 even her women folk will blame her for her problem.
She needs to look inside herself, think of what she might be doing wrong. Thereafter, she can start the following: - She must be herself (natural). Pretence turn off right-thinking men; if a man is happy with your pretending nature and does not ask you to stop it, you end up be-friending, or even married to a pretender. Intelligent and vindictive men will reflect your colours like a chameleon. - She must dress stylishly but sensibly! - She must be a "how may I help you" person; accommodating and not being selective. (But, as they come she still has to "filter".)
These are the First Picture determinants.
She needs to re-define these words to suit her present situation:
UNDERSTANDING TOLERANCE/ENDURANCE SACRIFICE/CONDESCENDING
If she is a believer, pray!
No matter the situation, avoid desperation. GBAM!!! Hit the nail on the head. That was a good advice. I believe you talking 4rm experience. @ poster, pls advise your friend to pls 4get linking up with a married man, the consequences can be very disastrous. I know someone who did it, she ended up breaking the man's first marriage, however, she is also not enjoying hers because the man himself is nolonger a settled man as he used to be. |

@ poster, pls never you take poison for any reason, wow you took rat poison because of the most ridiculous thing on earth -WOMAN- I guess you are not experienced in this kind of a thing, sorry for noting that, but you shouldn't have overtrusted a girl who has really not confessed her uncompromising love for you, from the look of things, you have being the giver from the beginning, and you were also too gentle and subtle. Although, I like you for one thing, you kept your chastity, from what you said, you never had s3x with her, that is the more reason why you will be heartbroken. Girls need someone who will be hard on them at times, it doesn't mean beating them, but don't over show your love, you did that and you were taken for a shit.
My advice is you wake up & grow up, girls of her age are hillarious and unpredictable, 4get about the girl & settle down for someone who is ready to be a MRS. & not someone you will beg to be, i.e matured, and in your next relationship, you should love with your "senses", don't over commit yourself because girls are not worth it, but be responsible, and try to mix with your friends who have more experience, but still use your "brain". I'm sorry for using those words but they are the bitter truth.
best of luck in your next relationship.
I said woman is the most ridiculous thing on earth, I'm sorry, but I was forced to say so, due to my past experience, although not directly, but close. |

Actually, I'm in a dilema, if there were no kids between you, it would have being much easier, bro, you just have to take heart, honestly, I'm short of words, may GOD show you the right path. To my astonishment, most love or romance stories I see, hear or experience are followed by heartbreaks, I don't know who I can trust as my gf or wife to be, girls of nowadays are wicked and heartless, as a friend of mine says, life is now half-done , stories like this gives me goose pimples each time I think of searching for a girl to settle down with. As I dey now, I just dey flenjur dey go as I no trust anybody except my mother. @ poster, just take heart, God will show you someone who will give you a solution. |
Health › Re: Dagrin And The State Of Healthcare In Nigeria by Ak4ril(m): 12:05pm On Apr 27, 2010 |
nas 00: I may not know the exact cause of Omo Olorun's death. However, this is my submission:
Trauma is one of the most terrible emergency situations dat can happen to man because it more often than not ends up affecting virtually all the organ systems in the body. Again, recovery of a poly-traumatized patient trauma is a much slower process compared to localized trauma. Da Grin was most likely polytraumatized, with internal injury to the brain (contusion or concussion) very likely. However, I did not see his CT Scan. He could rupture a viscus, say his spleen, if his steering wheel rammed into him. He could have suffered a kidney 'shutdown' from several causes ranging from blood volume problems to severe muscle trauma.
Now, even under the best healthcare conditions, He could still have died, basically because the sequence of internal events was progressing at a rate too rapid and the picture kept changing.
Let us not blame it completely on the quality of healthcare Da Grin received. Sometimes by the time it gets to that stage, things may already be out of hand. If we have optimal (d ideal) healthcare services in 9ja, does it give u liberty to go break your head, hoping your brilliant doctors and 'tech' health system will be there 4 u? Absolutely no! So, PREVENTION IS KEY. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO PREVENT RATHER THAN REPENT. REPENTANCE MAY BE TOO LATE.
I hereby submit that whoever we are, wherever we are and however rich we may be, IF U KNOW U WILL DRIVE A VEHICLE PLEEASE DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL. OTHERWISE GET A DRIVER (WHO MUST ALSO NOT TAKE ALCOHOL). Cos if Da Grin was not under the influence/ euphoria of alcohol, he wouldn't have run straight into a truck, even it it was right in the middle of the road. So sad. True talk, but it is possible that Dagrin was not drunk at that moment, I strongly disagree with you that he wouldn't have run into the truck if he wasn't drunk, have you forgotten the case of a former staff of Channels TV that ran into a truck parked along the expressway in the night some years ago, despite the fact that he had seen the truck earlier on his way to his office and had complained about the carelessness of the truck driver. Don't forget that the accident occured in the middle of the night, on a narrow road that does not have street light; moreso,we can't envisage the rate of his speed. He might be at a top speed since it was in the night. Well, the deed has been done, I hope we will all learn our lessons. |
Health › Re: Dagrin And The State Of Healthcare In Nigeria by Ak4ril(m): 10:49am On Apr 26, 2010 |
Krayola: There is more than enough blame to go round. From possibly drinking and driving, to seat-belts, pre-crashed vehicles being sold to unsuspecting customers, to parking laws, to street lights, to first aid, to emergency response, to quality of care in hospitals, to friends letting possibly intoxicated friends operate a vehicle. I can go on and on. This is just tragic on so many levels.
We have lost a true gem, and no amount of finger pointing will bring him back. True talk, on the issue of the health care, it is rarher unfortunate that our General hospitals are this useless, most especially, the so-called teaching hospitals, this is how a former Northern Governor died about two weeks ago when he was rushed to a teaching hospital after he was attacked by some thugs, I am just short of words, Nigerian health care is not worth it at all. But, I hope this will serve as a lesson to all of us, not only celebrities, to always take precaution against things like this. |

@ The King - I don't know, in fact, I'm dumbfounded.
I have come to realize that in today's world, a matured virgin (either male or female) is ashamed to say it in public that he or she is one, because of the public disgrace and embarrassment the person is likely or prone to face. Politics › What Is Nigeria's Future ? by Ak4ril(op): 3:31pm On Nov 08, 2009 |
Is it the youths that will take Nigeria to its promise land or the "old cargoes" ruling us. It is obvious that the "old cargoes'" administration has only changed Nigeria from bad to worse. As a new leader gets into power, we tend to prefer the regime of the former administration which we bitterly complained of while he was in power. Hence, the old cargoes have failed. What makes me ponder the most is that the youths are not better off, if you ask any youth that if he becomes Nigerian president today, what will he do? his first answer will be that his family will become rich, no more suffering in his generation, , This has shown that nobody is ready to really serve this country. WHERE ARE WE HEADING TO? |

@ccolins, what do you mean by your statement? there are more than enough proofs to show that the Bible which you call Holy is as illegitimate as the most illegitimate book on earth. Is it its contradictions or its immoralities such as those in the songs of Solomon? Moreover, Jesus himself didn't see the Bible, the Bible was formed years after the transition of Jesus Christ. Why insult the poster, Mr. Poster, that's a very good one, we will like to see more of it. |
