Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan has criticised the Minister of information, Lai Mohammad over his statement accusing the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, of indicting violence ahead of the 2019 presidential election.

But, reacting, Omokri countered Buhari’s minister describing him as a ‘liar’.

The former presidential Spokesman wrote: “How can Lie Mohammed say PDP is planning violence over 2019? Who has a history of violence between Atiku and Buhari?

“Was it not Buhari who said ‘If what happened in 2011 should again happen, by the grace of God, the dog and the baboon would all be soaked in blood?’”

Ex Governor of Ekiti State, Fayose has criticised President Muhammadu Buhari over his presidential rally in Kano State on Thursday.

Buhari had on Thursday endorsed Governor Umar Ganduje during his presidential rally despite bribe allegations against him.

On his Twitter page wrote: “The grandfather of Corruption Family of Nigeria went to Kano today in continuation to celebrate the exploits of one of his children.

“Siblings of the Kano child in whom Baba Corruption is well pleased also came from neighbouring country to join in the celebration of corruption.”

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced Buruji Kashamu as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun state.

The commission announced this in the final list of governorship candidates released on Thursday.

Ladi Adebutu and Kashamu had been at loggerheads over the governorship ticket of the PDP in the state.

A statement from the party: “The PDP cautions the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, to insulate the commission from unnecessary controversies by immediately obeying the judgment of the Court of Appeal of December 18, 2018, and without further delay reflect Hon. Ladi Adebutu’s name on the ballot, in the interest of a hitch free and peaceful election in Ogun state.

“The PDP states that Hon. Ladi Adebutu’s name was duly and statutorily submitted to INEC after he won the governorship primary conducted by the National Working Committee (NWC), the only body empowered by law to conduct such primaries. The PDP has not substituted his nomination with anybody and such is not in our contemplation.”

APC Kano Failed Rally: PresidentBuhari
should stop fixating over the non-existent five million votes that was promised him by the Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State as such is completely illusionary.

If indeed President Buhari is committed to free and fair polls as he claims, he ought to have cautioned Gov Ganduje to stop making vain promises because the total numbers of voters registered in Kano is not more than 5.5 million.

This promise is being made even in the scenario where President Buhari has since lost the support of the people of Kano state following his failure to fulfill even the littlest of the litany of promises he made to them during the 2015 campaigns.

President Buhari
must have received a shock of his life when he realized that his party, the APC had to rent a crowd from neighboring Niger Republic to populate his rally in Kano on Thursday after the planners could not mobilize enough supporters from Kano to attend.

Nigerians watched in amusement as two state governors and a traditional ruler from Niger Republic, who were contracted to hire and ferry in the aliens, struggled for space with APC leaders at the rally.

The world now knows how President Buhari
garnered his votes in Kano in 2015 and on what strength his party has been boasting of five million votes in the 2019 elections.

Now that it is clear to all, including Mr. President, that he has lost the support of the people of Kano, we urge the Buhari Presidency & the APC to wake up to the reality & stop deceiving themselves as there is no way foreigners can be allowed to participate in our elections.

“This other Obi is half China and half India, because if he speaks three words, one will be Chinese, the second one will be Indian and the third one will be a mixture of Igbo and Yoruba. I have tried to teach him my own language but he is not likely to succeed.”
