Behind The Bible Fraud - What Was The Church Trying To Hide?

When I first spoke to a close Christian friend of mine about the publishing of Tony Bushby's The Bible Fraud, her reaction was one that many Christians have expressed, and one that made me aghast. She didn't want the book available because it would "persuade them away from the Bible and the word of God."

Further discussions with her and many other Christians around the world about The Bible Fraud all result in the Bible being quoted as the ultimate reference for the apparent "words of God," and therefore the basis for their arguments. The problem lies in that they believe the Bible is infallible.

If we examine the oldest known Bible to date, the "Sinai Bible" housed in the British Museum (I believe that, during his many years of research, Tony had a private viewing of this priceless book), we find a staggering 14,800 differences from today's Bible and yet it still remains the word of God?

As Tony points out, the history of our 'genuine' Bibles is a convoluted one. Firstly we cannot be sure that we have the full version as it was originally intended.

In 1415 the Church of Rome took an extraordinary step to destroy all knowledge of two second century Jewish books that it said contained the true name of Jesus Christ.

The Antipope Benedict XIII firstly singled out for condemnation a secret Latin treatise called "Mar Yesu" and then issued instructions to destroy all copies of the book of Elxai.

The Rabbinic fraternity once held the destroyed manuscripts with great reverence for they were comprehensive original records reporting the life of Rabbi Jesus.

The Myth of an Exodus Exposed:

A. By the Bibles own chronology, the year of the Exodus fell during Egypt’s heyday under the 18 Dynasty during the imperium of the puissant Thutmosis III (1490-1436 BCE). It is simply impossible - as so many have said - that the Hebrew slaves attained liberation at the very apex of Egyptian power.

B. The absence of any recognizable Israelites in the Amarna letters, tablets which describe in detail the conditions in 14 century BCE Canaan (See William Moran, The Amarna Letters , John Hopkins Press, 1992).

C. Most scholars would place Israelite origins in the late 13 century BCE or the beginning of the Iron Age where we fine hundreds of new settlements in the hilly Israelite heartland (Israel Finkelstein, The Bible Unearthed: Archaeology's New Vision of Ancient Israel and the Origin of Its Sacred ). From exactly the same period, Pharaoh Merneptah’s victory stele boasts of his “eradication” of a group called “Israel” (see Ancient near Eastern Texts Relating to the Old Testament, pp 376 -378).

D. A greater problem is that the new highland settlements in Canaan from the 13 – 12 centuries BCE show very little connection with Egyptian material culture. Similarly, the Hebrew language is a purely Canaanite dialect with only Egyptian borrowings of trade words such as found throughout the Near East (see Thomas Lambdin, Egyptian Loan Words in the Old Testament and Muchiki, Egyptian Proper Names and Loanwords in North-West Semitic). Much more Egyptian words and culture should be present in the highlands of Canaan if the Israelite did indeed spent 400 years living in Egypt and then resettled in Canaan .

E. Another problem is the Bible’s complete silence on the Egyptian forays into Syria-Palestine in the late 13 to early 12 centuries BCE under Merneptah and Ramses III. Had the Israelites completely forgotten these inconvenient facts?

F. Even if we re-date the Exodus in favor of a conquest in the
early Iron Age , our problems still remain. All the cities the Bible cites as being present during the conquest of Canaan by the Israelites (Kadesh Barnea, Gibeon, Heshbon and Dibon along with the kingdoms of Moab and Edon) did not exist until well into the later Iron Age (William Dever, Who Were the Israelites and Where did They Come From?) The same problem is evident in Joshua’s purported conquest; virtually none of the cities he is said to have conquered shows any evidence of any occupation for the appropriate period. (Dever, 37-71) .

G. While the Biblical Book of Exodus claims that the Israelites left Egypt at about 2 million strong (Numbers 1:46 gives a more precise total of 603,550. The 600,000, plus wives, children, the elderly, and the "mixed multitude" of non-Israelites would have numbered some 2 million people) and wondered in the Sinai Wilderness 40 years, archeologists have found no settlements or any other artifacts to support this story (William Dever, Recent Archaeological Discoveries and Biblical Research ).

H. One excellent example is the series (now on Youtube) The Bible Unearthed 2. The Exodus.

Those who accept the Biblical Exodus as a factual historical event will do themselves an educational favor to watch this video, especially the video's 20 – 28 minute mark as the Exodus is discussed by one of the foremost experts in Egyptology, Donald B. Redford

Any Christian who wants to reject such facts MUST deal with William H. C. Propp’s 2 volume commentary on Exodus in “ The Anchor Bible” series.

Propp’s final conclusion: The Exodus story is a Romantic myth based on fantasy (see: The Historicity of the Exodus from Egypt , vol. 2, pp. 735 -756).

I particularly have no issues with the tales telling about nazarene, by Mr Oyedepo.

It's the manipulation and mental conditioning mechanism acts, of which oyedepo himself is a victim, that's of interest to me.

Oyedepo gimmicks includes:

1. Oyedepo claimed that he doesn't take salary from the church. He then told the sheepmaniacs, "why would God not bless me financially"?

* The gimmicks?

A. He own dominion publishing house, where he publishes his recycled lies under different outrageous book titles.

He makes this books the textbook for each month, that's tagged to the title of the recommended book.

Eg he can call January, my month of "financial success",and all his books that relate to success and finance, will be recommended, and the sheepmaniacs rush to buy them.

This is how oyedepo grossed in millions into his earthly treasury every month round the year.

B. Oyedepo has this one that he termed "the lesser is blessed of the higher ".

By this, oyedepo told the sheepmaniacs that if they continually and sacrificially dash their resources to somebody higher than them spiritually (he had himself in mind), they will be blessed.

By this deception, the sheepmaniacs, in their thousands, contributes their hard earned money to oyedepo's earthly treasury.

These are just the two gimmicks out of many, that oyedepo uses to stack up earthly riches, that he sometimes preached about as vanity.

Oyedepo deceives men to become rich, but asked the deceived men to look up to skydaddy for their own riches.

The commemoration of the festival of the birth of Jesus (Christmas), which is a convenient convergent of multi-mythical births, of other immortals of the ancient religions that existed in Rome then.

Although the grip of Christian apologists was firm in the beginning, but over the years, the use of this festival as an opportunity to propagate the gospel, has gradually transformed to revellous carnival.

Not only has Christmas become everything except the message of "reconciliation", Jesus christ, the nazarene, is now consigned to the status of other legends of the ancient religions, from whom Jesus's superstitious characters were fraudulently copied.

The virgin birth, concocted miracles, vicarious death and resurrection are now known as mere myths.

It's so refreshing to once again look at legends that Jesus myths were fabricated from:

*Dionysus

*Buddha

If honesty and intelligence are compatible with being Christian apologists, no one will ever want to identify with the jargon - Christian apologist this 21st century.

In spite of a passionate plea by a housewife to the court to save her 18-year-old marriage, an Agege Customary Court in Lagos granted the prayers of her 50-year-old husband and businessman, Kingsley Onyenobi, and severed the relationship. Mr. Onyenobi accused his wife of, among others, giving the car he bought for her to her pastor as “sowing seed.”

The court ruled that allegations of infidelity and threat to life brought against the woman by the husband were weighty enough to warrant the dissolution of the marriage.

The President of the court, Mr Phillip Williams, who handed down the verdict, said he was fully convinced that the couple could no longer live together as husband and wife.

“The two of you should go your separate ways without any molestation or harassment,” he ruled. “The court has no choice than to dissolve the union in spite of the fact that the wife still claims she loves her husband.”

The petitioner had on Feb. 11 filed a petition against his wife, Chioma, citing lack of care, infidelity and threat to life.

The mother of two, who is also businesswoman, denied the allegations and pleaded with the court not to dissolve the marriage, saying “I still love my husband.” “Please help me to beg him, I am not ready to leave my husband because I still love him,” she said.

Earlier, the petitioner told the court that the wife had not given him peace of mind. He described the woman as careless and uncaring as her attitude led to the death of their set of twins.

The estranged husband said he bought a brand new car for her only for her to give out the car to her church pastor on the pretext of “sowing seed”. “I injected millions of naira into her business and she could not give proper account till date; my wife is wasteful.’’

In her defence, the respondent told the court that when she went for her church convention and the Holy Spirit told her not to go back home with all she brought to the venue. “So, l left my car, jewellery and other things for the church.’’

She said she could not stay at home most of the time because of the spiritual war the petitioner and his family had been waging against her.

“My pastor advised me to leave the house for some time.”

I align with the atheistic concept called "new atheism". This concept of atheism is of the view, that the very lack of belief in god, is a responsive position, to an all pervading and ubiquitous religious beliefs system.

This religious beliefs system, irritates, harasses, oppresses, and conditions the human mind to accept ideas, that the rational minds know as mythical, legendary, superstitious, illusionary and delusionary. And all there's to support these beliefs are ASSUMPTIONS.

What possible value can religious beliefs/god idea add to my life? When such ideas essentially engenders and introduces the following pollutants and irritants into human experience:

*irrational fears,
*optional and debilitating ignorance,
*hatred,
*division,
*extremism,
*terrorism,
*persecution
,
*victimization,
*segregation,
*cognitive inhibition,
*acting without and against reasons etc.

Knowing that i and i alone is responsible for how my life turns out, is exciting, healthy, stimulating and rewarding for me.

Who doesn't want to see and live in a society devoid of the pollutants and irritants introduced to human experience by god idea?

The Judeo-Christian religion is such an interesting study in court jesting, mutatis mutandis and insidious irritation.

First, the Roman government designed the Judeo-Christian religion as a weapon to make the minds of the conquered folks, subservient to her whims and caprices. Just like the book - the making of slaves.

Judeo-Christian religion, a crafty worldviews that conglomerate multi religious beliefs, of all ancient religions of culture, that matters in the Roman Empire then. This was a political tool with which the Roman government hoped to enlarge their empire.

Now that a protestant, who can't tell which number is his own fraction of protestants, and on NL, is judging the Catholic Church (the very progenitor of Judeo-Christian religion) as agent of Satan.

Concept of original sin is fundamentally flawed, skewed and fraudulent (1)

The concept of "eternal guilt" (original sin) is common to all religions of the world, although in a varied narration.

This concept is an unnecessary and destructive causative idea of psychological condition (eternal guilt consciousness), that must be prevented and cured, with doses of rational and critical thinking.

Using the textbook of one of the Abrahamic religions, the fundamentally flawed, skewed and fraudulent basis of original sin can be unravelled.

Though the book falsely claimed that God created man as a free moral being, but there's no evidence to back this up in the bible.

Free moral being, connote that man have innate sense of morality (the dichotomous of good and evil), as defined by the culture of the society the lives in.

*Genesis 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the middle of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

If man MUST not "eat" (acquire) the innate sense and ability to KNOW and DO good and evil, how is man a free moral being then? according to biblical claims.

The unjust and baseless imputation of guilt by God idea on man, can only occur in badly cast set of a fictional movie.
Assuming the story is practicable, the exercise of free will by Adam and Eve, is just an evolvement of man to be more like God.

Didn't God say:

*Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.

Since God himself is both good and evil personified and does both good and evil, while will he have to find man GUILTY for the reason that man only evolved to be like him. God himself said:

*Matthew 5:48 Be you therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Man only perfected his free moral will, just as God himself. The action of God idea, that imputed guilt on man for this exercise of free will, can be likened to the judgment of Supreme Court judge on a young man who is INNOCENT of murder case.

Judgement:
I hereby find you guilty of murder of "exercise of free will", you shall be shall be killed by electrocution, but this electrocution shall not be carried out until you turn 95 years old in the maximum prison, in case you die before then, your corpse shall be burnt to ashes. BUT, if you admit before me NOW, that you committed the murder, is shall set you free, as discharged and acquitted.

This you will say is ridiculous and irrational. That's exactly the meaning of the concept of original sin.
