I have seen athletics events since I was young, and I can confidently say dat Blessing is as good as d Jamaicans. D semi finals destroyed her. How do explain a girl running 10.93 with a head wind of 0.7 in d first round ( slowing down in d process), and running 11.01 with a head wind of 1.0 m/s. Madison has not managed to run faster than Okagbare since newyork, and yesterday
She did it 4 d first time In about 6 races.

Well today is another day. Only man u losing d title could rival I bad I felt yesterday 4 blessing. D female boxer is fighting today, even if she wins she would face d Russia dat defeated her at d world championship in d quater finals. Our weightlifter is good, but winning a medal might be a step too far. I think she was fifth at d last Olympics, but d difference btw her and d bronze medalist
Was massive. Ajoke goes in d hurdles, and I expect her to qualify 4 d semi finals. Only a miracle will ge her a place in d finals.
SportsRe: Blessing Okagbare In The 100m Women's Final! by akintun: 12:57am On Aug 05, 2012
Blessing was competing with dem b4 London, but London and Monaco was d first time she won a world class field by breaking d 11secs barrier. There is a diff btw winning world class atheles in 11s and winning in 10s. She is one of d youngest top sprinters, and I think d near future is bright. Dis was a girl dat started running just to improve her long jump speed. Two years ago she won d NCAA 100m. She has been competing in d sprint 4 only 3 years.

D good thing about blessing is dat she really started competing against d best at d London grand prix. I wont be surprised if she goes to Zurich after d Olympics and win dis same girls
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 10:34pm On Aug 04, 2012
I pity d girl. All her hard work was destroyed in d semi finals.
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 10:10pm On Aug 04, 2012
We put a lot of pressure on dat girl, and I saw it on her face in d semi final

D lane draw was so bad 4 her
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 9:17pm On Aug 04, 2012
Come on Bekele. It looks as if Blessing can run down any athlete including SAFP. Jeter and Blessing will run down d remaining atheles
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 8:05pm On Aug 04, 2012
I think blessing can produce something special

Omotosho and Regina coming up next
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 7:57pm On Aug 04, 2012
Dibaba might not run d 5000
Felix would not win
Monsho would win 400
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 7:53pm On Aug 04, 2012
Okagbare has used up lots of energy. I hope she recovers
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 7:45pm On Aug 04, 2012
Shelly Ann Fraser 10.86 with a 1.2 wind. Very bad for Gloria
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 7:37pm On Aug 04, 2012
Jeter 10.83 with a 0.0 m/ s wind
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 7:21pm On Aug 04, 2012
D guy was injured. It showed during the firs round
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 7:18pm On Aug 04, 2012
I knew Morton was injured after d semi finals
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 7:16pm On Aug 04, 2012
Morton is about to go. He really needs to be among d first two.
SportsRe: Has Phillips Idowu Taken It Too Far? by akintun: 3:15pm On Aug 04, 2012
Wat makes d Dutch coach a genius. Philip idowu is injured, and his relationship with is coach is a clash of character. D coach is hot headed, and Idowu is stubborn
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Argentina: Olympics Basketball (79 - 93) On 4th August 2012 by akintun: 2:51pm On Aug 04, 2012
We have defeated no 4 and 5 b4, so wat stops us frm defeating no3. Lithuania are currently giving America a difficult time. American winning 30- 24 with one minute of d first quater left

Stanley final jump was well over 7m. Our male sprinters suck big time.

SportsRe: Olympic Sports That Nigerians Would Be Good At by akintun: 1:20am On Aug 04, 2012
D post was actually funny. On a more serious note, Nigeria has no excuse 4 not winning at least one medal in d following sports
Archery
Judo
Shooting
Wrestling
Sailing
Canoning
Boxing
Weightlifting
Fencing
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 1:05am On Aug 04, 2012
I think d fight 4 d last place in d final would be btw Allyson Felix and stewart. Stewart did not look good. D jamacian tracks were some of dis girls ran fast times at d beginning of d year and at their national champ is a very fast track and d times run there can be mis- leading.
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 10:59pm On Aug 03, 2012
Seeing Dibaba winning makes me fear 4 Blessing. We were all expecting Cheruiyot to give to her a tough time, but she destroyed d field at d right time. Jeter and co are proven champions, and dey can turn on d heat at d right time. I just hope she would be ready. Blessing too has proven dat she has d ability to step up. She is in d toughest semi- final with Madison, Ahoure, and Stewart
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 8:44pm On Aug 03, 2012
Blessing competes against d best athletes better tha onyali. Onyali would surely make d finals without actually competing 4 a medal, but blessing is d real deal. She can go all d way with a good start.
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 8:05pm On Aug 03, 2012
Blessing was the second most impressive athlete after jeter. She slowed down with 40 meters to go.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Argentina: Olympics Basketball (79 - 93) On 4th August 2012 by akintun: 1:47pm On Aug 03, 2012
Dat name D'tigers has to be changed to D'ant. We were disgraced yesterday, but we scored 73 points sha. Watching Spain win Great Britain by one point has given me hope dat Argentina can fall to d mighty Ant.
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 1:19pm On Aug 03, 2012
Ameachi has been given a very favorable heat in his semi final, but his lane draw is very bad. He has been drawn in lane 8.
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 1:07pm On Aug 03, 2012
Yes she qualified. When I saw d result of d last heat. I mistakenly thought d girl dat was third was fourth.
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun:
Good one from Regina, but Omotosho just misses out as d fourth placed girl in Regina heat was faster than her. She was just cleared of drug offenses. I hope d delay in clearing her did not affect her training.
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 12:44pm On Aug 03, 2012
Omotosho might still have a bit of hope because d heats are getting slower. She is currently d third fastest loser, and only three fastest losers would qualify
