Na wa oooooo.Maryam usman fights next week Saturday.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria must leave the global economy. by akintun: 2:23am On Jul 28, 2012
Nigeria cannot leave the global economy, but we must look for a way to reduce our cost of borrowing.Corruption is the number one problem, but there seem to be a deliberate attempt by western governments to under-develop Africa countries. How do you explain us borrowing at 15% interest rate when we have constant income. Our former president with the help of our current minister of finance agreed to stupidly receive debt write-off of 18billion and by so doing, paying the Paris club 12billion. To me dat looked like debt re-financing over a longer period of time.
No country can develop with dat interest rate hanging over its head. Our banks and discount houses love the interest rate because it guarantees them constant profit, but the real sector suffers because their cost of capital becomes very high.

We would be represented by a woman called Ogoke in d 75 Kg category. She got to d second round of d world championship and was defeated by d eventual semi-finalist who is a Russian. It would be very difficult 4 her to win a medal, but anything can happen.

Talking of form, Okagbare is the most in-form 100m runner going into the olympics. She has defeated the same people she will likely meet in the final.

I dont think she is d most in-form athlete. Shelly ann- fraser is by far d most in-form athlete, and i have not seen Okagbare run ahead of veronica Campbell before. I believe she can win a medal because she has grown in confident, and her recent times are actually better than wat dey actually look like. Her 10.96 would easily have been a 10.8 with a following wind.

I think d long jump would be extremely very difficult 4 her. if she makes d final, i believe she can win a medal, but making d final go hard ooooo. she has a personal best of 6.97 which would not have even been enough 4 her to qualify 4 d Olympics if she was an American, and she is only the ninth best dis year.
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 5:20pm On Jul 24, 2012
apat from athletics it is possible 4 us to pick up one or two medals in other sports.
boxing - our best chance here lies with d female boxer who would compete at d olympics. I hope she gets a medal

Taewondo - This sport gave us lots of fun at d last Olympics, but I think it would be difficult to win any medal this time around. in d two weight categories we are competing, our athletes are not even seeded among d best 8 in their categories, and there are only 16 competitors in each categories

Weightlifting - we will be lucky to win any medal here. Expo would not win a medal, he could not even win d commonwealth games. D female athlete I think was fifth at d last Olympic, but d difference between her and d third place athlete was so wide.

Basketball - we should just enjoy d games and hope 4 d best.
SportsRe: Nigeria Olympic Thread...to Be Updated Regularly by akintun: 4:58pm On Jul 24, 2012
It would be very difficult 4 Nigeria to win medals at d Olympics. we have never done well in any Olympic game, and I don't expect dis to be any different.

100 meters- Blessing Okagbare has shown dat she is a very good talent, but I know 4 sure dat d women 100 meters and d men's 5,000 meters would be by far d most competitive race at d Olympics. D female 100m has about 9 very good athletes who would give Blessing a vey difficult time. D Americans and jamaicans had just peaked 4 their trials wen Blessing came to start winning them. I think she would run a 10.8 at d Olympics, but am not sure if dat would be good enough 4 d gold. I hope she gets at least a bronze. D men would do well to even get to d semi- finals
400 m hurdles - Ajoke has shown dat she is d most erratic athlete we have ever had. She has d ability to win average runners, but wen she is running against d best, she does not just perform. I sincerely would be surprised if she makes d final because she is about d tenth fastest in d world. in d men's race Ameachi hardly runs, but has recorded some good times at d beginning of d season. I hope he makes d finals.

long jump - Okagbare is just an amazing talent and I would be happy if she gets a medal here. this female long jump field is so competitive. I think she has to pray to make d finals, b4 even thinking of winning a medal. She had two very good jumps in Nigeria and Benin. those jumps makes her only d ninth best in d world with othe very talented athletes not even jumping as well so far. I expects her to get a medal only if she can make d finals. in d men I don't expect anything

relay - d female 4 x 100 meters team can get a bronze if they are lucky
SportsRe: Blessing Okagbare Wins 100M In Monaco Diamond League by akintun: 9:16pm On Jul 20, 2012
NO WIND (0.0 m/s), slow start, and personal best.

Okagbare is definitely a contender 4 d title. Although six of her main rivals were not in d race today,d race still had some top quality athletes on parade.
SportsRe: Okagbare Defeats World Champion Jeter And Olympic champion Shelly-ann Fraser by akintun(op): 5:06pm On Jul 14, 2012
Okagbare should now have an outside chance of winning an Olympic medal in d 100metres because her 11.01 winning time was into a head wind of -0.2. A favourable wind as was obtained in the semi-finals would have seen her run a 10.9sec.
SportsOkagbare Defeats World Champion Jeter And Olympic champion Shelly-ann Fraser by akintun(op): 4:45pm On Jul 14, 2012
Good day for Okagbare in London today as she broke 11 secs(10.99) for the first time in her career in the semi-finals, and she came back in the finals to beat the two big favourites for the Olympics 100 metres.

The missing part is adding 1naia to the liability to give 99 naira. The 1 is meant to be added to the 97 naira shirt to give a 98 naira asset. The asset and liability would be 98 naira. Below is an analysis of the asset and liability flow.
