I wonder wat d banks balance sheet would look like if dey don't lend dis companies money. Dis companies would continue to default becos of d high interest rate, infact some of dis companies are too big to fail. Nigeria economy is set up to favor d banks, and any single default on a loan at d high rates would automatically lead to d compounding of d loan. It would be good to look at d breakdown of d loan.

I really don't understanding why dangote cement is been valued dat high on d stock exchange. He is been valued at about 15 - 18 times earnings, which is high 4 Nigeria standard. D other problem I have with d company is its extremely high operating profit margin. If u compare d profit margin to other cement companies in d world, dangote cement margins are unbelievable. This show s dat he his either under- paying his staffs or overpricing it's cement. Maybe d raw materials he uses are just too good.

It is good to borrow money at very low interest rate like wat d big western governments enjoy now. Lagos state is borrowing money from 10% to 15% interest rate, while lenders pay d German government money (negative interest rate)4 their 2 year bond. I'm pretty sure investment bankers would love Fashola 4 this high interest rate debts.
