It's spreading..... I am so worried and I have used all what mamas in the house recommended. She sleep on her back so she sweat a lot. Should I just leave it and continue applying what I am. Presently I have used shear butter, one antibiotics powder(am using that presently) was prescribed to me by doctor, I forgot the rest jare

I just do big puff-puff with those colorful hair band for kids.

The only problem I 1hr later she don use hard comot evrytin finish...lol

@rofemiguwa, please just listen to what doctor says. so that the drug giving to you will not affect your baby. I feel the attachment you have for your little one. Maybe you should hold on for some time or find another method to bond with her. God bless you.

@olamitie,Yesitsme, you are not the only one but i thank God i have overcome the fear. In fact i went and drove into petrol station by destroying their pumps. I almost killed the petrol attendant but i thank God i didn't. Now i am a professional driver to the glory of God. Dont let fear stop you to achieve what you desire.

Sometimes one of the ducts exits in the nipples may get blocked for any number of reasons like skin just growing over it. It may form a milk blister. So even though you are feeding from that breast.. that particular duct is not releasing the milk and will cause mastitis.

Checked your nipples, you may have a blocked duct. Hand express to see if there are any ducts that dont seem to be bringing out milk it will usually coincide with the side of the breast that hurts..

If it is. In addition to warm massage, use a warm/bearably hot towel to scrub the nipple to try and remove anything that may be covering the duct.

Also apply some olive oil on a cotton wool and place over your nipple and cover with a breast pad before bathing/cleaning with hot towel. They say it helps to soften the skin.

Pele it is not a pleasant experience. I even had to use tweezer to pinch off the skin that seemed to grow over one of my ducts....

Akorkor thanks o, your breast pain might be mastitis.

Massaging with warm towel, offering that breast first and pumping all the milk out would help ease it. You are probably not emptying the breast out when you feed

If I need to feed the potato+chicken puree alone, I put water in a pot and put the bowl inside to warm. When I take it out, I add my milk

Buy all the veggies (carrots, potatoes, peas). Boil and blend then store in your freezer. Buy quarker oats, blend for her. If you can't make pap, August secrets sells very good pap.

I quoted this because i want to know how you do it after it is freeze. Do you re-cook it or microwave. Because i learnt microwave food is not good for less than 1 year.

But before i end my salutation, i bin wan ask , wetin dey cause breast pain. My breast just started paining me seriously yesterday evening.
I changed from manual breast pump to electric and na only one side oh. I fell seriously sick yesterday and i even cried sef. What can i use to soothing this pain. Left Breast ohhhh. Please come to my aid.
Before i left for work, i make sure my DD suck on it and i also make sure i pump it out so it relieve me a little but now am feeling the pain again.

This is actually my favourite brand/type of diapers.

They actually started with a size 4 and I was pleased to see they had introduced a size 3 some few months ago which means it's suitable for younger babies.

I have been using it since my baby was around 8 months old and now he's almost 20months old.

Alphahandmaiden, there's no flaw with its design jare. The classic diapers can be a struggle to put on and take off (without staining everywhere with poo) especially when you've got an active toddler.

With both the classic/pant diaper, I always make sure I have a scented nappy bag at hand which I put the poo filled diaper into before disposing into the bin. If I fail to do this, the house is almost guaranteed to smell the next day thanks to the smell of poo from the dustbin.

True talk. The only issue I have is the poop removing. My DD will clock 4month next week and it has been perfect. Thinking of moving to huggies because it's seems cheaper here sef.

Although I am a new mum and I don't really have experience but I think you should take it easy on what you give your beautiful daughter. I read and my gynaecologist even advised that baby should start solid food from 6month upward because that's when there digestive system is strong. So gentle gentle on ovaltin or beverages. Biko

Start from like when she is 2month 2weeks. I started training mine at that time and now she sit well at 3m+. Though i dont allow her to sit herself ohh until when she want to.

Then also involve her in exercise like folding legs on her playmat, stretching hands and pulling hand close to you to sit.

PS: To do this exercise, please make sure her neck is stable a bit before engaging it this. You can get more exercise tips on youtube or baby center.

Have you started making the hair for her? If no then i havent started mine too.

What i used for my DD which is almost same month as yours is Cantu and Johnson oil.

I make sure i wash her hair once a day but i will stop it once i start making her hair.

You are so correct. My baby weight is at that range. My issue with it is exactly what you mentioned as per tearing it before removing.

Apart from that the pampers is okay. Baby is weighing 7.2kg now.

I made mistake in purchasing this pampers for my baby. I didn't see the inscription of Pants there but I have no choice of wearing it for her. As any other mama used Pampers pant before.

Mamas pls help I'm exclusively breast feeding so I got the medela advanced style electric pump. I barely up to 2oz in 30mins. At times the milk will be flowing very well but will stop after sometime but the pump will still working. when I try to press the breast directly milk gushes out. I'm I not placing it pump well? Pls help a new mom. I'm extracting cos I want to be sure my son gets enough per time since I'm not giving him formula.

I think you are not placing your nipple well into it because the manual one am using if i dont place well i may stay 0ne hour pumping 5oz. So try and place it well.

from birth till now (4 months+), I can count the number of times we have gone out to visit....very few, not to talk of travelling.

Will miss my bro's trad on 22nd april cos i was adviced to wait till she is 6 months b4 doing any serious travelling with her.

My dear sis, wetin I go do.... she don dey travel since 4 day old sef. Children of nowadays are stronger than you think. I have to resume work oh and I have no choice than to travel.

As par the other issue raised, other mama have helped.

Pls mamas that went on missionary journey as per the other thread how did u people go about ur babies immunization. I came back as soon as my baby clock 6wks and they gave him BCG and oral vaccine he is booked for penta next week. Hope I'm in line? Pls any advice on anything else to do?

Yes, they gave us BCG and Second Oral Vaccine because she cant take the first polio shot since its given immediately after birth. You are in line. My DD has taken 6th, 10th weeks now. We have moved again so she will continue with 14th weeks in another country. #lifeofatravelmom.

You need to get a moisturizing cream ; Eucerin, E45, Aveeno

Also make sure she's always hydrated to prevent the dry lips

Get a lip balm for babies. Or use Shea butter. Make sure you apply it often. Keep her hydrated too.
For her rash, do you cover her up all day? Is there cross ventilation in your sleeping area? It seems she has a really dry skin.... Abi Na my eyes?

Our environment is always cold. I make sure I switch in AC or fan 24/7. But she sleeps on her back so she sweat a lot.
I don't cover her up at all.... she doesn't like heat rara.
