Aprokodaughter:
Dem dey deliver sim card again? You can buy a sim card in any shop. Giffgraff is good.

Is the Lebara sim special?
Yes, free delivery, and it will get delivered in 2 dayshuh I doubt anything special about it, but I am following the hype on Naiaraland but got a free giffgraff from a postman today. Thank you.

Hello Everyone, please help ohh. I noticed no one talks about Giffgraff. I registered for Lebara sim, but it's taking them so long to deliver, and I need to register for Bank and everything else. The post office guy gave me a free Giffgraff sim. Maybe he is advertising for them grin. I also read some good review about them but needs to be sure if they are okay before my Lebara sim get to me

1. You can complete the PLF anytime within 48 hours of your arrival in the UK.
If you fly out at 9am WAT on Wednesday and arrive on Wednesday at 3pm GMT, you can fill it anytime from Monday 3pm GMT which is 4pm WAT. You can't fill it out earlier. But you must complete it before your flight on Wednesday.

2. The COVID tests will be sent to your home address in the UK but you don't need pre departure or arrival tests from tomorrow since you are fully vac'd.

3. If you want to do the test, that's on you but it is no longer required. Make sure you take your vaccine card and even scan the QR Code to get the digital copy and take that with you as well.
Thank you very much

You are all doing a good job. Thank you all.

Please, I read that the COVID 19 rule changes from 4 am on February 11. So here is my question,

How do I fill out the locator form, the time(48hrs before flying or 24 hrs), and would the PCR test be delivered to my stated house address in the UK?
Also, I am thinking of doing the Covid test even though I am fully vaccinated because I don't want stories that touch from some overwork Nigeria immigration office. Should the test be done 24hrs or 48hrs before flying?

Get thermal long sleeves and tights from Marks and Spencer underwear range.
Really good stuff, I only use them and my clothes and then outer jacket...sometimes it feels too warm in the office with jacket off.
Thank you

FamilyRe: My Brother's Wife Wouldn't Let Their Children Go To School Because Of This by Akorkor(f): 5:01pm On Feb 04, 2022
If it’s because of security, the wife may be right but what I am not comfortable with is for her to stay at home without not rendering any hand to help the husband. Ladies, don’t put your husband under too much pressure. We are both helpers, and they need all our help to put things right.
Men, please always look before you leap too. Marry for the right reason and not because of beauty. Marry a woman that can support you when things go south. I wish the family well jare.

This kind story Dey vex me

I have to say that I landed on my feet by meeting a very wonderful guy (no didn't date or marry him cheesy) who gave me financial tips and guides from very early on in my immigrant journey. I bless him and his family (especially his wife who didn't decide this single gal was after her husband) everyday
You are a wise woman. Thank you for your wealth of financial experience

Yes that should be possible as you are required to indicate what currency you need whilst filling out the Form A. However, the problem here maybe the scarcity of the pound sterlings as to the dollar which could possibly explain why most banks give USD cash.

All the best.
Thank you

I never knew that i legal to send cash through post, thought its illegal. That is the aspect i question about the process.
When I told my DH about this, he didn’t agree. For the sake of peace of mind, I think we will just go through the physical exchange. I am skeptical because 419 Dey everywhere. Thank you oyasub11 for the suggestion.

Once you get to UK get a Monzo account or any bank account that bears your name and go to travelfx.co.uk register to sell your currency and they will give you a postcode to send your currency once they receive it they credit your uk account with the pounds equivalent.
I used this and it is the best rate you can get.
This is good! Thank you

I am asking because I read in part 1 of this thread that Heathrow is the best. Maybe things have changed then. Thanks for your input

Good evening guys.

Has anyone here ever done Certificate & English proficiency verification via ECCTIS? ( Formerly NARIC)

How is the transcript submitted to them? From what I see on their website, it appears the candidate has to have a copy of the transcript...and I know this is unlikely for Nigerian schools....
Anyone know anything about this?
You can use a student copy transcript which you should be able to get from your school.

It will definitely take time to get proof of English for my BSc.
Please do.

Thank you for your response.

Yes. I have uploaded the required documents. They also requested proof of English to be uploaded.

I wanted to know if it's okay to upload just Msc. instead of two degrees.
For me, I uploaded my B.sc & one MSc. Didn’t upload the second one due to long process of getting proof of English from the school.
And NARIC responded within 4 working days which was surprising because this was December period and by the way, it was standard.

Just an important question/knowledge sharing needed please.

10 Years Bank Completed Last year so new Family Visit intend to be submitted next month.

Would the Ban still be taken into consideration ?

Also so i need to complete a Yes to have you been deported or banned in the last 5/10 years question ? As this is over 10 years anyway.

10 years ban is completed and circumstance has changed , so I am considering inviting my brother and his family on a family visit to the UK . Just wondering if there will be a noise again around the 10yrs ban
please ensure you Declare every Ban, refusal with all honesty. It would help you.

You're just being irrational.

So men should provide wholly for the family and still do house chores?

Such a joke.
You are the one being irrational. Let the woman work and you stay at home and see how difficult it is staying at home . I am sure you won’t even have energy to eat any food you made. You think you have women energy? Please try what we do.

Since the OP said he’s not gaining anything from the wife then he should take care of his home and let see how that works out.

He can as well marry another wife that won’t work too as he implied.
Merry Christmas ohh

Cry me a river. If she doesn’t do anything or you gain anything from her, why Are you crying? Men should also learn to take responsibility at home. She’s not your slave, and she has a life before marrying you. Those children carried your name, not hers, so if you like, don’t make your children happy and be here regretting that you married her. You didn’t even tell us your side; maybe you have been coming home late in the night, and even when you are at home, you contributed nothing to care for the kids. Yeye. Entitled Nigerian men everywhere
