In terms of Baba Hakeem Ahmed, he said the same about Buhari during his time. Sule Lamido is yet to denounce Atiku publicly as far as I know. It's still too early to foreclose on a Kwankwaso deal with Atiku. The ball is in Atikus court. But one thing is if Atikus momentum becomes fever pitch, Kwankwaso would have fewer options to align with Atiku.

The north central have always voted based on religious considerations and patronage. They hardly vote based on competence. They usually vote a southern candidate or someone pro Christian. They vote someone that is not aligned to Islamic radicalism, that is liberal and will not marginalize them. They voted Tinubu at the height of Muslim Muslim noise and now that those fears are allayed and he has spoilt them with political rewards, they will vote him more.

Bala Mohammed can divide Atiku votes in Bauchi/ Gombe axis. Fintiri can also divide Atiku votes in Adamawa/ Taraba Axis. Senator Dankwambo is also very strong in Gombe/ Bauchi.
