He also announced the association’s determination to launch an appeal fund to raise substantial amounts to support both leaders in purchasing their nomination forms to contest under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.

PoliticsNiger Delta Will Support Tinubu In 2027-otuaro by Akpakomiza2(op): 1:17pm On Aug 11, 2025
The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr Dennis Otuaro, has stated that the Niger Delta will support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections, as he seeks a second term in office.

Otuaro stated this during his remarks at the closing ceremony of the ‘Stream 1’ Batch 3, three-day strategic Leadership, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Mediation Training organised by the Amnesty Programme for stakeholders in collaboration with the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja, on Friday.

Otuaro reiterated that “President Tinubu has genuine intentions for the Niger Delta and is determined to sustain the prevailing peace in the region while galvanising development activities and socio-economic growth through his Renewed Hope Agenda.”

He said, “As Niger Delta people, we will support only His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, in 2027. Let us not allow anybody to deceive us that come 2027, there is a new and better agenda. That is not true and we are wise enough to know.

“We are sure that President Tinubu has the best agenda for the country and indeed the Niger Delta, and he is the only candidate that we will all support.

“The President has proved that he has genuine intentions to sustain the peace, security, infrastructure and human capital development, and the socio-economic advancement in our region. He means well for us, and this is incontrovertible.

“We shall therefore fully support him. Supporting him is the right thing to do. Anywhere the President goes, we go. And that will be our mandate because the Niger Delta is our agenda.”

Otuaro urged the people of the Niger Delta to unite firmly behind Tinubu’s second-term ambition for the greater good of the area, while cautioning against political manipulators, as activities gradually gather momentum towards the 2027 contest.

“Though the elections are several months away, we must be aware of political manipulators who are out with their agenda of mischief.

“We must watch out as Niger Delta people. Let’s not allow anybody to use anyone against us and the agenda of the President. We are so focused that we cannot be distracted. We know what is working for us, and what is good for our region and we will work to sustain the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr President”, Otuaro stated.

He noted that President Tinubu has given unprecedented encouragement to the PAP, particularly his approval of an increase in the programme’s budget to enable it expand opportunities in formal education, vocational training and post-training empowerment schemes for ex-agitators and beneficiaries.

The PAP boss also expressed optimism that President Tinubu would do much more for the region as he had demonstrated a strong commitment to deliver on his mandate in the past two years.

He urged the people of the Niger Delta to shun divisiveness and work together in unity for the betterment of the area and to lay a solid foundation for the future.

Thousands of residents in Ringim Local Government Area of Jigawa State have publicly endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Umar Namadi’s bid for a second term in the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement came during a Citizens’ Engagement Programme attended by Governor Umar Namadi, where a massive crowd gathered in support of the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership.

Governor Namadi, addressing the crowd, described the turnout as a clear sign of growing public confidence in the APC’s governance, both in Jigawa and across the country.

Supporters chanted pro-Tinubu slogans, holding banners and declaring their readiness to mobilise votes ahead of the next general elections.

In the 2023 presidential election, the APC secured over 8.7 million votes nationwide, winning 12 states, including Jigawa, where President Tinubu polled more than 421,000 votes. Political observers say the scale of support in Ringim reflects the party’s continuing dominance in parts of northern Nigeria.

Political observers say the show of support in Ringim reflects the ruling party’s sustained grassroots presence in northern Nigeria, as preparations for the 2027 polls gather momentum.

Svoboda:
If he teams up with Kwankwanso, that'd be the game changer. In that case, obi would be persuaded to suspend his ambition. The north trusts Jonathan more than Obi because of obvious constitutional limitations. Daily trust also reported that Kwankwanso is open to the idea of deputising GEJ. That'd would certainly send shivers down the spines of the Tinubu camp.

The north is ready to massively vote for him.
The only person that can defeat Tinubu is Gej not Atiku. I believe we are on the same page
