urchcoded: People sef. Dat guy gave a nice lecture which is 100% correct I don't know about manners but if u don't understand him ask him if he could simplify it more for u. Stop asking how old he is and learn. I take it that there are people who visit this forum to learn and based on that I made an input. When you say the guy is 100% correct, it simply means you need to learn too. For your information, when you see an alcoholic drink, the alcohol content is always written. This is international standard. Whenever you pick an alcoholic drink, check the alcohol content. For instance a bottle of Cape Maclear wine contains 14% Alcohol and the bottle is 750mls. What does this information mean? It means that every 100mls from this drink contains 14 grams of alcohol. If someone consumes the whole 750mls, he has taken in 14 x 7.5 = 105 grams of Alcohol. The issue of intoxication is now individually determined, while some may start misbehaving on taking say 10gm of alcohol, others may appear unshaken after consuming say 80mg. We now talk of individual thresholds. |

sofiscatedmoron: [[s]quote author=Akpuoru post=84743532]To answer this, let's understand these basics Alcoholic drinks are labelled with their alcoholic contents usually in percentage. For example to determine the alcohol content of beer of 5% alcohol in a 50cl bottle. 5% alcohol is same as saying that there is 5grams of alcohol in 10cl or 100mls of beer. Therefore if someone consumes the 50cl or 500mls, he has taken in 5 x 5 =25 grams of alcohol ie 25gms/500mls When he "dilutes" this beer in question with a non alcoholic drink, say sprite of 30cl or 300mls and drinks the whole content, although the concentration of the alcohol is now 25gms/800mls, he has still taken in 25gms of alcohol. Now the physiological effects of these two concentrations ie 25gms/500mls and 25gms/800mls may differ in their time of action. While it may take 25gms/500mls faster to intoxicate because it is more concentrated, 25grms/800mls may take longer because it is less concentrated. Note that their intoxicating effect is as a result of the concentration of the alcohol per unit volume of the total drink, it is NOT that the sprite has a special power or ingredient that neutralized the alcohol. Using the example the OP sited therefore, the lady may not feel the effect of the alcohol until after sometime when the concentration of alcohol in her system reaches the threshold that leads to intoxication. why are you comparing mass and volume ,40% alcholic content is 40ml/100 ml of the content is alchohol that is 40ml alcholol and 60ml water or base solution ,thats d meaning which primary school did you attend I don't know how old you are but I know from your post that you need to learn. Nairaland can serve as a learning forum if you engage yourself. Just an advice |

Pentasoft1978: stop beating about the bush over issues of religion. tell us who is Asok Rock. People should ask themselves what is preventing the real Buhari's family, Aisha in particular, from suing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for libel, slander and defamation in his weighty declarations after declarations that Mohammadu Buhari is dead and replaced by an impostor? She has the connections and resources to institute almighty litigations against Mazi Kanu if truly Buhari is alive. That alone would truncate the mission of IPOB forever. Where's her courage of conviction in proving that the man in Aso Rock is her husband? Nnamdi Kanu is not in hiding. He tours the world in his pursuit for Biafra. So you can't call him a faceless accuser. The cold silence from from the first family goes to underscore Kanu's position about Buhari's demise. If Kanu was just yapping, what could have given him the temerity to order IPOB members to be hunting for jubril for international disgrace? EZIOKWU NA AKWU OTO. Guy, you really need mental evaluation |

We should be demanding for answers from everybody involved; those that signed the wicked contraption, those that negotiated with the company to pay them money for doing almost nothing, those that never gave this nightmare the serious and close attention it needed to the point of getting to this level. All of them have failed Nigeria perhaps for their own selfish gains. The biggest f00l here will be any Nigerian who will bring in petty politics to explain away this disaster put upon us by those who should speak for us. My anger is to all the regimes from the inception of this contract till date. |

In setting the record straight, the company started from 2015 when negotiations were made to pay them $850M. Why not start from the very beginning; i.e. the award of the contract, your part of the bargain, Nigeria's part of the bargain, how much you've delivered of your part of the bargain, how much Nigeria has failed to deliver of her own path of the bargain. |

My amusement is never the knavish styles Mr Kanu has mastered to enrich his pocket, but the gullibles who actually act and react based on gibberish emanating from his demented faculty. Mr Junaid, same as some intellectually retarded individuals who imagined that a sitting president of a country could be attacked by street urchins are the very reason the con artist Kanu appears invincible and he actually enjoys it. On this, I blame the information handlers of the Federal Government who respond to even the most ridiculous comments from this idi0t, they in addition to stooping so low in responding to these shenanigans, are indeed boosting Kanu's delusional grandiosity. |

GrabHisBalls: Where did I state that the Akar abi Aker road is fixed? I remember saying the state of Aker junction is deplorable but the rumuolumini road was fixed by Wike 4yrs ago. Well I don't know what you mean by Rumuorlumeni road. Rumuorlumeni is a big community with many roads, most of which are in deplorable states; Aker road, Nkpor Road, Eagle cement road, Mgbodohia road, none is good. I suppose you were referring to Iwofe road that was started by Amechi and completed by Wike. Worthy of note about this road is that the dilapidated portions are the areas done by Wike and these start from after City crown hotel downwards. One phrase you no longer hear is "Mr Project". It appears governance is on hold in Rivers State. |
