Bending backwards to accommodate religious issues is what is emboldened the fanatics among moslems to misbehave. Football and other sports that need free movement of the body are not compulsory for moslem women and if need be they should boycott them on religious ground. |
uchwar1:Exactly. Why waiting for the executive to choose or bless the leadership of the legislative arm of the government. |
In my opinion, humans are created without religion or culture. That's why we have several religions and cultures in the world. Suffice it to say therefore that a man by nature is polygamous. There's what you called self discipline that some men and women possessed. It's this self discipline that restrained man or woman from committing crimes of all callings. There's difference between nature and discipline. |
Don't forget how the then Boko Haram leader shekau died several times before his actual self inflicted death as announced by this type of source. |
There must be deterrence to those who violated our laws especially these politicians. If there's no repercussions for violating the laws then the politicians would continue. The irony is that even the chief judge was a party to this illegality, rather unfortunate. There must be punishment even after leaving office if you knowingly disobey a lawful court orders. It will serve as a deterrence to would be offenders. |
Eventually, this country will have three arms of government combined into one thus the executive. We were told that he who pays the piper dictates the tune. |
You have received some meaningful advise especially those that encourage you to look forward towards life. There must be reason then why you took that decision and in any case life is full of mistakes. The worst is if you don't learn from it. |
Judging from the recent elections results emanating from all the six geopolitical zones of the country and assuming it's the true will of those that voted, there's nothing to convince me in the near future that Nigeria is worth dying for. I assumed we voted according to our regional sentiments and to some extent religion and nothing to do with parties or so called development. From all indication, it seemed the voters are satisfied with the way things are going assuming the aforementioned factors are absent. |
The silence requirement is absent for obvious reasons and that's money. Those saying age is just but a number are joking. Age is just not a number. It has its telling effects very loud and clear. People especially women when they want to be mischievous will use this phrase knowing well that it's a blatant lie. In the slum that l am opportuned to stay, there's a man with all the qualities stated and l bet she has came across them but those guys simply have no money - the biggest of it all. |
Mistakes no matter how careful you are do occur. Sometimes back l transferred 3k to my Airtel account unknowingly that l have transposed the numbers. The receiver for whatever reason refused to return the amount and efforts to contact the receiver were in vain as the number remained switch off. I am still in pains nearly a year now if not months plus. That's my hard luck. |
While not in support of wheel chair episode, however, politicians of Nigerian extraction are fond of meeting in British, America etc either as a sign of 'we have the means' or diabolic |
If it's not going to be medicine after death then there's need to instil discipline according to the party's Constitution. I am not very sure of what happened if those to be disciplined should win their elective political offices. With the way all elective political offices except so far the presidency (there's every possibility that that office will also be afflicted) decamping from the party that brought them to power and joining any party that they fancy while the courts seemingly unable to bring this unpatriotic moves to order. It beats ones sense of reasoning why this move cannot be brought to an end. Why should you play on people's intelligence. There must be an unambiguous law prohibiting this deception. If you feel you are popular enough, just resign from the party and contest in your new party. The extant law as regards defecting from one party to the other looks too loose especially where the governor's office is concern and the courts are seemingly handicapped with an argument that the only way to dislodge that office must be thru the house assembly. Everyone knows what every state house assembly looks like. In fact they all defect with the governor knowing well that there's no repercussion of any sort. The electorates are being cheated politically and helpless. I am opened to be educated. |
Skty:I thought the fulanis are from India! If they are from Cameroon or Mali in West Africa in Africa continent then they have come closer to Nigeria than those who claimed to have come from one of these Middle East nations. |
The authorities concerned should focus their search lights to the directions from where to start from based on their experiences and opinions to curtail if not to eliminate completely this ugly trend. |
Just read how Nigerians react to issues. Can anyone help and illustrate what is G5 and their utterances. |
The boy has to survive and one way to do that is to go the way he is going now. He behaves typical of a teenager who had fallen in love and thought the world of it and trying to impress his lover. To him, this is the best way to do so not knowing that he is exposing his immaturity to the rest members of the community (world) in this circumstances. |
What do we gain by using abusive language in our write ups. It's an ill wind that blows no one any good. Being an lgbo, Hausa or Yoruba and other tribes made us a great country. We may disagree with each other, but we should never be enemies of ourselves. In any case why referring to Senate President as a senatorial candidate. That's disrespect to start with. He is not even contesting by court order and that order was all over the media |
MadamExcellency:You use the word KIDNAP!!!. You have answered yourself. You can't forcefully convert illegality to legality. I know you just want to be funny. |
Nigerians are not persuaded by how good your program for the country is. The debate won't shift those whose minds are already made up. The majority of our people care much on your ethnic and religion groups rather than your debate or your programs. In fact our people will defend the seemingly inadequacies of his choice than listening to debates which could have been the yardsticks to measure the capability of our politicians and their policies. |
If it's true that some political parties are buying PVCs, what are the secret police and other security services doing about it. Hope INEC is prepared for free, fair and credible elections. News is flying around. |
There's no how you will pacify someone who has his agenda. Let it run out. The best that can be done in this circumstance is to move on and stop trying to engage a man whose agenda is well known to a serious minded politician. |
citygarden:Possibly you forgot that Atiku came from the north and Buhari is no longer contesting therefore there's vacuum. His vice came from the South south. We are having Muslim Muslim debacle. Some people believe in Obi from South East and Tinubu has a root in the south west. The G5 failed to take into account that even a sitting governor sometimes lose election to other party. The control of the masses by the G5 is not obsolete. The G5 are not controlling all the masses. Masses are not goats that are herded in one direction by the politicians. Voters will choose their candidates with or without the influence of anybody. Let's appraise objectively without prejudice. |
How l wish this promise goes down to action. I have my reasons. |
Rather than check and right the wrong, no they won't. They will be going through the long process that yields nothing at the end. Simply call the affected candidates, check the authenticity of their call up letters and do the needful. No! They will rather set up commission of inquiry that take years to complete their investigations, by then, the admitted students have even graduated. |
Please ask Wike whether he also has not renegade on his promise to support whomsoever won the presidential nomination. In the prevailing circumstances, he is doing exactly what he is crying about. Using Ayu must go as a pretext not to support the presidential candidate of his party is just a childish cover up. No matter how you look at it that is just the simple fact. |
The problem with most of us is that we just don't digest and analyse news before we comment and the end what we have is twisted opinions |
Allowances!!! That's the issue. Does the chairman think that he is addressing bunch of idiots? |
Unending meetings that produced nothing to write home about. The tea party has become a ritual that the average Nigerians who cared to watch TV or got meshed with social and other media forums are very familiar with. At the end of the day back to SQUARE ONE |
These courts are not helping matters whatsoever. The purpose of electing politicians based on political parties is to some extent defeated. A popular party will field its candidate and after winning will just decamp and that's that. Something has to be done about this decamping sensation that engulfed all elective offices in our country. One day a president will just decamp to another party and the courts will be helpless or so it seems. |
Anigreat:In that case both PDP and LP presidential candidates are foreigners since Nigeria is being declared Zoo with their country called Biafra. If these two candidates are Nigerians then the earlier they stop this childish utterances the better for all of us. It's joke carried too far. I think reasonable Nigerians will ignore the inherent disrespect associated with these people. |
Those saying without Wike Atiku may not win the presidential election forgot that President Buhari won the elections for the second tenure even with strong opposition from former President Obasanjo who strongly supported his first tenure. Take a lesson from that and stop disturbing the media as if Wike had the magic wand to turn everyone into robot. Having Wike and co is desireable but if they refused, then the doctrine of necessity kicks in thus NOBODY IS INDISPENSIBLE |
