Zik was a great premier of Eastern region. Built the first indigenous university in the country. Set up basic infrastructure around the region, all within just 4 years. Before he then became speaker of the house of representatives, Senate president and later governor General. He still suffered a coup even as a powerless head of state.

Ironsi was a man who stopped the country from falling into the hands of young charlatans like Kaduna Nzeogwu and Ademoyega etc. He united the country and was providing able leadership to return the country to democracy by consultation.
He still suffered a coup in ibadan and died.

Ekwueme was said to be the best Vice president Nigeria ever had. Educated, not corrupt, a potential president. He still suffered a coup and spent years in prison.
