madgoat:A year is 12 months or 52 weeks or 365/366 days. Mr. Calculator, will June 5 to May 4 give you any of those figures above? |
nwaanambra1:See how you're exposing your ignorance to the world. Billionaires in dollars without investments that can be verified and known to the whole world and floated on the stock exchange, right lol? Or they dig their own money out of the ground. You think it's those import and export business in Onitsha that will fetch billions in dollars. I believe you're educated. So you should think better than this. |
LANDLORD72:Every year, there are more than 1 student that get 9 A1s but WAEC only report the best 3 out of them. This has to do with the kind of scores they got in those subjects. Someone that scored 90 and another that scored 75 both have A1 but the one with 90 will obviously be put forward for an award ahead of the other. |
nwaanambra1:Why do you people make unsubstantiated claims? How many dollar billionaires do you think Nigeria as a country have to say just one family in Nigeria have billionaires in dollars. Even the much hyped Otedola is not a billionaire in Dollar. It's one Onyuike family. For your information, there are only 4 verified dollar billionaires in Nigeria, according to Forbes-Dangote, Adenuga, Rabiu and Alakija. So stop already with your false claims. |
Maxcollins042:The UI VC doesn't mean to mutter under his breath. UI is ranked ahead of UNN overall. There are 5 components/criteria of ranking universities. The report here is stating that UNN only outpaced UI and others in terms of just one criteria, which is research influence (citations). This is referring to the number of references made to works published by lecturers in UNN by other researchers all over the world. This contributes 30% of the ranking. Other criteria include teaching (the learning environment) – 30%, Research (volume, income and reputation) – 30%, International outlook (staff, students, research) – 7.5% and Industry income (knowledge transfer) – 2.5%. So you see the bigger picture? |
Admitwithschola:Don't mind these shameless lots. It's not even 25 years ago. Covenant Uni is just 17 years old-founded in 2002. |
Jgovt:You're not even ashamed to mention your overrated Uniben on a thread like this. Covenant of yesterday was ranked 3rd on the number of citations of their academics' works where your Uniben that has been existing for over 50 years couldn't get a mention and you're here mentioning best.. Bow your head in shame. I doubt you understand what citations means. |
flowx:There is no atom of humanity left in you. What an insensitive person with a wicked heart. |
focus7:He did it once in the initial post which the UI VC responded to. They excused it as a typographical error. In responding, he replied thus: "..the errors you pointed out have noted and rightly corrected." Another bomb thrown. You can't definitely explain that away as another typo. It only establishes the fact that the UNN Facebook image maker doesn't have a good grasp of the English language and is only disgracing the same institution he's trying to hype up. Quite sad. |
Boko Haram live in Northern cities like Maiduguri and have killed enough soldiers there. Why haven't they burnt down places like Maiduguri cos of that. They bring these Northern soldiers to the South to intimidate and kill our people while Southern soldiers are taken to the North to be used as sacrificial lambs for Boko Haram, Shittes and other such groups there. What a mistake of a country. |
arinzos:Why do you believe it was made by Harvard. Any source to prove that, or is it because the poster said it's from Harvard, so we just have to swallow that? The list is filled with so much conspicuous repetitions- Maths, Accounting, Psychology, History etc. That alone is enough to raise highbrows. I've tried a Google Search to link this back to Harvard. Is it surprising that all my searches lead me back to Nairaland and few other Nigerian blogs and websites? |
EzeIgboNwaChukwu:In all kind of rankings out there, Times Higher, webometrics, QS and what have you, Covenant trumps your overrated Uniben. Only the likes of UI should talk when discussing Covenant, not an unrated school like Uniben. |
megapriest:You have no point. Both countries have equal stake in the French national team. The likes of Vieira, Evra, Sagna, Mendy etc are Senegalese who played for France also. So? |
oz4real83:And that is in the SW that is supposed to be the hotbed of education in the country as no state there is classified under ELDS. You can only imagine what obtains in the core North if this can happen in Ogun state in the 21st century.. Quite sad. |
cosef:It's hightime you learnt that Yorubas are not the only indigenous ethnic group in the South West, though the predominant one, same way you have indigenous Yorubas in Benin Republic. In Ondo state, there are indigenous Ijaws called Arogbo in Ese-Odo LGA, just like we have the Eguns in Lagos and Ogun states occupying Badagry and Ipokia LGAs respectively. That name Tongeji sounds Egun. So think about your point again. |
Firefire:Don't mind him. In the last election, Buhari lost Ondo and Oyo states and marginally won Osun, Ogun and Ekiti. He had to win Lagos after so much threats and intimidation of voters there, yet Yorubas are responsible for Buhari being President. |
TheSuperNerd:I think the rivalry he was referring to is not really about football but other spheres of life such as the two biggest economies, biggest movie/music industries, military, most influential human resources on the continent etc, and he is right to say that. He said it himself that the match was bigger than just a football match. Is it Ghana or Cameroun you'll compare with Nigeria in all these aspects? |
Upton:Which man did she slap? Provide a credible link to back your claim or forever remain silent. |
tuniski:He was defeated there by Yar'Adua. Yar'Adua was a forthright person and a fellow Katsina indigene, so it's expected for him to give Buhari a run for his money there not like an Atiku beating Buhari in Katsina. Moreso, Yar'Adua himself admitted that the election that brought him to power was not free and fair. It was marked with many irregularities. Those were the days of abracadabra INEC under Maurice Iwu. There are many loop holes in this chairman's testament. Firstly, like others have alluded, the mathematical chance(probability) of scoring round figure votes for not just one, but both of the candidates is very slim and that should raise a red flag to any reasonable person. Secondly, he was claiming that the results INEC declared where Buhari won Atiku in Katsina was from the server and not those directly from polling units. This is the same server Atiku has been shouting that he needs access to, that the server shows he won. Isn't that a contradiction? |
VillagePipu:Don't mind him. Thinking he's talking to unexposed people here. Bragging about being absorbed as lecturer when there are enough that have been absorbed before and after him. P. S: This Grace Gureje, is she by any chance related to Prof.Oye Gureje of Psychiatry Dept in UCH? That man is something else. He's the most cited person in Nigeria, in terms of academic publications. |
RTSC:Mr Man, there is nothing like best graduate ever in the history of the Law school. Every year, they have the best graduating student for that year among those that made First Class in the Law school and few have been absorbed as Lecturers there over the years. He won't be the first and won't be the last. You're condemning others for bragging about tribe but you're doing same. |
Holuwaxheun:God will only restore those who truly and sincerely their guilt, repent genuinely and make restitution not someone who remained unrepentant and living in denial. |
salford1:That's blood on the altar if I'm right. |
SarkinYarki:You're shameless. Bloomberg, a foreign financial outfit did an expose on one of the people bleeding this country's resources, all you can do is to shout SW media up and down while trying to attribute fictitious net worth to Tinubu and making excuses for Danjuma that he left active politics in the 70s and made his wealth from business. The Tinubu you're castigating also left power over a decade ago but to you, he's the major problem of Nigeria. Can't you see how senseless you are? |
einsteine:Oh I see, thanks for the clarification. I was just confused as they wrote 6500 rands as the potential payout. I used to believe payout include the sum you'll get in return including what you bet. |
I don't understand this kind of odd, 0.65, meaning even if he had won the bet, he would still have lost money cos he bet 10k rands to collect 6k5 rands in return, losing 3k5 rands. Any odd below 1 should be a loss I think. |
germanized:You have given that fool a befitting reply to shut him up permanently. Imagine someone from Edo for that matter pointing fingers at another on the issue of sex when that's what is their biggest source of foreign exchange there. |
Eserise1:Were you the one that came up with the idea of the project and the methods to use in the research? I know it's the lecturer that gave you the topic, you only performed the experiments and did the write-up and want to take the glory? Research is collaborative with a team which the students are part of and the head of the team is obviously the lecturer. You don't expect an undergraduate who is yet to have a B.Sc as the lead researcher of a project when it's to be published or used to apply for grant. Do you? |
VivaDeAngelo:How can someone be vilified and encouraged at the same time. Do you know what it means to vilify someone, or you're just using words for the sake of using them. |
JohnOkolo22:You will never see anyone to scam here, lazy thief. |
