Islam for Muslims / Re: Why Islam Is A Religion Of Peace by Alennsar(f): 9:46am On Sep 28, 2020
Rapture4real:
The greatest deception from Satan ,the father of all lies since the creation of this world is the claim that Islam is a Religion of Peace. Why?The religion of peace has unleased and still unleashes the worst terrorism, restlessness and mayhem in every part of the world.Even some of them who deny the terrorists, argue with them in the matter of theie faith, you will see violent temper being displayed. They use this slogan to deceive the whole world and tactically pernetrate them. When they do their wasi (sermon), you will hear them throwing verbal attack against christians.A true God defends himself. The day of judgement will reveal the truth.Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace.
I guess I missed this post the other day and I am just seeing it now. Perhaps you haven't read the page of the Bible where Jesus said "bring unto me all those who will not allow me to rule over them and those who did not believe in my preaching and slain them before me"
In another chapter Jesus said "do not think that i have come to the world to spread peace, but war i have come to turn a son against his father, a man against his wife and his mother"

Does he sound like an atheist?

How did you find out it was the Christians that were posting that on Islamic posts (it could be true though), but why not use same oath on all, where a Muslim swears an allegiance before posting, an idol worshipper swears his allegiance as well, and a Christian swears an allegiance too.
There is actually no religion not peaceful, it is just the people that show a reflection of the religion they follow. Whatever is experienced ends up as feedback.
Sorry to say but is like you're new here or maybe you are not familiar with the religion section because this bullying does not just start today.
About knowing whether the poster is an atheist or not, I know the meaning of atheism and I believe an atheist will not insult your religion and your God then ask you to better accept Jesus as your savior right? There was a time when the Muslims always ignore their nonsense post but not any more because i won't be quiet knowing that I am on the straight path just that I won't be unreasonable with my response. What is your opinion on Muhammed Bala?

How is Islam a religion of peace when there is no tolerance?

You cannot define a religion by the actions of a person or a group of people. Every religion preach peace and good conduct but we have many religious people who commit all sorts of crimes. Should we now say the religion is bad because of them? I can't tell you today and every other day that Islam is a peaceful and tolerance religion because if not Christians will not be allowed to live in peace in Saudi and Muslims are being prosecuted illegally on their land by the Israeli government.

Don't define Islam by what is happening in the Northern part of Nigeria but your experience with what you have read and people who you've lived with. What those terrorists are doing is not a part of Islam and it never will but until the day of judgment when the truth will be revealed to every mankind I will leave it to God to judge accurately between the two of us.
I am a Muslim and I don't believe or support terrorism, Allah has said there is no compulsion in religion and everyone is free to choose whatever they want and wish to worship.
Sorry for the long write up.

You are not wrong for trying to establish your wife but you should have tell her that the money is not yours. Whatever you borrow must be pay back, it's a debt no matter the person involved.

You don't need to defend Islam as the religion of peace.
Let it be known, seen and experienced, not heard from Islamic people. The more you keep saying it is the religion of peace, the more billions of people will disregard that claim, because of what is experienced world wide.
Just take nairaland as an example, you can comment on any other religious post without an oath of allegiance, but you are ask for an oath before you comment in the Islamic post.

It was not like that before but the Christians were the ones who caused this. They are insecure and filled with hatred, there comments is too degrading and bad even if it's something that doesn't concern them in any way but how many Muslims does that on the Christian posts?
And in case you don't know seun is not a Muslim but an atheist. He can testify to the Christians misconduct and he took necessary actions to stop it but the Christians will still swear an oath just to pour out their frustration and insecurities. They will still denounce their god because of a simple comment.
Education / Re: School Birthday Will Make Your Child Greedy by Alennsar(f): 9:15pm On Sep 24, 2020
Most of the comments here are not good at all, although the op reason is not valid enough but returning the gift is not a bad idea. Those who have children will understand better how children behave and how they get carried away by little things. They are always trying to imitate their friends and their teachers will always be bias in this situation because they will favor the children of the elite than the others.

Let us remember that not everyone celebrate their birthdays and there are people who don't believe or accept birthdays celebration.

He isn’t entitled, he is a USER! The only reason guys are not seeing it is because he is a MAN.

That is why I pity women who use emotions to follow Nigerian men. You will stress yourself and help him save money. Money he will use to pursue girls that haven’t stressed away their youthfulness and feminity.

OP had a baby last year and here she is, doing 3 jobs to provide for herself and kids. I can imagine her blouse dropping off her shoulders. She has been seriously complaining of this same husband. He doesn’t give her money, except she asks and he doesn’t buy her gifts. She also stated that she is beginning to resent him and that is not surprising. Any man that allows his wife/woman do what OP is doing, would definitely get RESENTED. She might succeed in hiding her disgust, but the passive aggressiveness would be there.

Men provide for women because men expect women to have kids, take care of the home, submit, support, position in bed...etc. It is not because they are nice. The only nice man is your father!! After him, if you don’t behave well to a Nigerian husband, you go collect.

Ayiiiii. If this is the case then I don't see any reason for her to start buying gifts for her husband, he should kindly buy himself a gift from the money he refused to spend on his wife and children.

Even though he is shameless to have insisted on you buying him gifts just as you buy for the kids, at least you know he is not lazy

Still give him that respect, sis. The fact that what he believes in isn't fetching him much yet doesn't mean it will never fetch him more than enough tomorrow.

Women are naturally impatient and terribly poor at making decisions that will pay in the long-run.

If his business pays him off tomorrow, he will remind you of what you are doing today. I hope you are prepared.

I don't think it's shameful to ask your wife for a gift, the same way the wife ask their husband's for gifts.
It's a vice versa thing if you ask me and there's probably nothing bad in reciprocating your husband love and generosity.

If 50k& 30k looks like millions to u, it only confirms d point I made that d level of poverty & struggling in d country is very high. D psyche of d average Nigerian is now so bastardized by suffering that very little now seems like much. And there's no way that u can compare d level of difficulty in d country in this present day& time with what obtained in yesteryears
Don't misunderstand me please. I never said it looks like a million but it's better than nothing. And yes you can't deny the fact that this country is not getting any better and I'm sorry to say that it never will. The gap between the rich and the poor is getting wider every day and the small number of rich peoples have been exploiting the large number of poor peoples. It will take only God intervention for things to change.
And yes everything you've said about the poverty and struggling of Nigerian masses is very correct but how do we change that when each and everyone of us is responsible for our current state in one way or another?

That means d level of poverty& struggling is very high. But also factor in new costs that have increased both d cost of living & doing business

The level of poverty and struggling has been high even before now and we can't deny the fact that many businesses are been run on a lower amount than this. Take for example my two neighbors, one sell moi-moi while the other is selling pap(akamu) and I myself I am selling egg roll in a daily basis. Do you think 30k or 50k will be look down on by people like us?

yoruba were rejoicing because they want a leeway to steal Igbo men properties by marrying Igbo daughters and insulting Igbo customs, a custom that even settles Igbo daughters with properties upon marriage. Kolewerk!

Let the same yoruba SC judge Bode Rhodes-Vivour also make a judgment that women in yorubaland have the right to be Oba of Lagos, Ooni of Ife and Alaafin of Oyo.

If he won't do it, I'm sure an Igbo judge or Hausa judge will be glad to do so, since both men and women are now culturally equal in law.

Be reasonable please, the throne can only be occupied by one person even if all your children are boys but an inheritance is supposed to be shared among all the children of the deceased be it a girl or a boy.
