Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi has revealed the reasons why he chose Nigeria over England. Iwobi dumped England for Nigeria last year and since then he has established himself as key player in the Super Eagles squad. The 21-year-old Arsenal man said he was torn over the decision, though his family, including his uncle and former Bolton star Jay-Jay Okocha, played a pivotal role in the switch, but it his experience with the Nigeria U23s that was crucial to his final choice. “I was growing up in England and England was the only national team I knew, so I was actually very pleased to play at national level,” Iwobi told reporters. “However, my family are all from Nigeria, I was born in Nigeria, my uncle (Jay-Jay Okocha) is a legend in Nigeria. “That’s why I thought I would give it a chance. Champions Chelsea came from behind against
Sunderland to give John Terry a winning Stamford
Bridge send-off.

The Black Cats visit was as much about Blues legend
Terry's last home appearance after 22 years at the club
as it was Chelsea finally getting their hands on the
Premier League trophy at full-time.

An emotional afternoon for the Blues skipper started
when he received a rousing reception as he led Chelsea
out for the final time, flanked by his two kids while his
wife Toni shed tears in the stands.

A huge banner in the Shed End and flag in the Matthew
Harding stand honouring Terry were unfurled just before
kick-off while Chelsea's players walked out with “JT thank
you for everything” printed on the back of their warm up
jackets.

And Chelsea's number 26 walked off the Stamford Bridge
pitch for the final time in a 26 minute pre-planned
substitution, passing through a guard of honour formed
by his teammates before sharing a big hug with boss
Antonio Conte.

Already-relegated had threatened to spoil Terry and
Chelsea's party before that as they took a shock third-
minute lead when Javier Manquillo fired past Thibaut
Courtois after Sebastian Larsson's free-kick was
deflected his way.

But Chelsea were level five minutes later when Willian
levelled seconds after Marcos Alonso's free-kick had hit
the bar and Eden Hazard completed the comeback when
he made it 2-1 on the hour after being teed up by Diego
Costa.

And sub Pedro added a third following a mix-up between
Joleon Lescott and Jordan Pickford before a late Michy
Batshuayi brace made it 5-1 to seal a record 30th league

Cup semi-final clash Chelsea and Tottenham contested
at Wembley.
Chelsea overcame their London rivals 4-2 in the FA Cup
London derby after late goals from Eden Hazard and
