As the countdown continues to the grand Finale of Queen Moremi Ajasoro International pageant, the management has officially released the 41 Camp Week finalists reflecting cultural heritage of the pageant contest. Following the conclusion of the audition, the contestants are expected to arrive for camping at the wew prestigious Ife Grand Resort owned by His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Of Ife on the 18th of November.

The forthcoming "Emerging Leaders Summit" scheduled for 22nd November 2017 has identified the most outstanding and proactive honorable to guest and speak extensively on the economic and political situations facing our great nation.

The recently elected party chairman and astute politician of the revitalised labour party has conceived several threats and attacks from some unknown elements. These saboteurs according to reports are bent hard at sabotaging the success of labor party and the creative intelligence which Dr. Mike Omotosho has introduced in the party. 

The new leadership of labor party under Omotosho, has engaged a myriad of strategic plans, exposed a feasible mission for the party and unveiled new visionary pathways that will resuscitate and restructure the capacity of the party, as well as the enabling ambience to function effectively as an opposition that can redirect the fundamentals of democracy through creative criticism and responsive leadership.

However, this mission embarked-on by the new leadership of Labor party has left fear and paranoia in the hearts and minds of some elements who considers the growth and development of this nation on the predicate of self interest. When things are getting right, people get scared, because they are evil and their source of survival is ill gotten. Why should a person like Dr. Mike omotosho be threatened or attacked, considering the prospects and contributions he has made to secure a better future for Nigeria? Who is after the life of the new party chairman who has worked earnestly to ensure a paradigm shift from these present socio-political and socio-economic challenges facing our great nation?

If you want to engage criticisms, while not embrace channels that reveals your intellectual capabilities, other than go about kidnapping the Labor chairman's mother as well as making baseless threat to sabotage the unequivocal contributions of Dr, Mike Omotosho. However, since the kidnap of the chairman's mother, security agencies have been on deck to ensure her recovery, but the entire public is therefore encouraged to help with any necessary information and intelligence needed to recover her from the kidnappers.

However, some persons have apportioned blame to the previous crisis-challenged leadership of the party which backslided the advancement of labour party in Nigeria. This observations sterns from the recent restructuring by Dr Mike Omotosho since he emerged chairman. Eventually, corrupt party members and former labour leadership have embraced the medium of baseless threats to discourage the recent developments which the new leadership of the party introduced.

In a recent publication, The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) Director, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that there was the need to increase women development in Nigeria.

The UN women chief was at the Nigeria House where he met with the Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Prof. Tijjani Bande and the Deputy Permanent Representative, Amb. Samson Itegboje.

Mlambo-Ngcuka had visited Nigeria in July 2017 alongside UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed to push ways to address the many challenges confronting girls and women in the country.

Mlambo-Ngcuka pledged the support of the UN women agency in this regard, saying the men do a lot to position themselves.

“So we will be working with other civil society,” the UN Women chief said.

According to her, she was at the Nigerian Mission to give the Ambassador feedback on the visit to Nigeria.

She added that the briefing also included the progress the UN Women was making in Nigeria and the progress that Nigeria was making at the time of the visit.

“We were able to renew our commitment to support girls that were affected by the abductions – the Chibok girls in particular.

“We were also able to look at the women and girls who were in the internally displaced persons’ camps and their conditions.

“This is to make sure that we address any violations of their rights that may happen. The government has already taken steps to address that, which we appreciate,” she said.

Mlambo-Ngcuka explained that the UN agency is doing a lot in the area of women peace and security in general in the country.

“So it’s also supporting the different initiatives that government has in addressing the safety of women, including safe schools. So we were able to discuss the next steps.

She said the agency’s tactics was to join the activities of government to increase the awareness of the communities to what creates insecurity for the girls.

She added UN Women would also support the girls that had come back from Boko Haram abduction to de-stigmatise and to ensure their successful integration.

“We will relaunch the ‘HeForShe’ now with the President – Muhammadu Buhari,” the UN Women chief said.

Prince Okonkwo Pictured With Anthony Joshua After Cardiff Heavyweight Victory Ahead Nigeria Visit.


Former Anambra Governorship aspirant and Chairman of Tettrazzini Group of Companies Prince Donatus Okonkwo has congratulated Nigerian-born boxer, Anthony Oluwafemi Joshua for defeating Carlos Takam, a French Challenger by defending his IBF heavyweight titles few days ago.  The Briton made it 20 victories from as many bouts in front of an estimated 78,000 at the Principality Stadium.

Okonkwo who was at the stadium at Cardiff to witness the fight live was pictured with Anthony Joshua after the victory which took him until round 10 for the Cameroon-born boxer to be stopped.‎ His company Zzini Media which is spearheading the African Tour of Floyd Mayweather in December is at advanced stage of concluding plans to bring the Nigerian- Boxer Joshua soon. Miss Ambassador For Peace Africa Confirms Partnership With Ukraine Embassy

Ahead of the yearly Peace Education Campaign in Nigeria, the newly crowned Miss Ambassador for Peace Africa Queen Aminu Sabiqoh Akeelah has sealed Partnership deal with Ukraine Embassy as the team plan to flag off the campaign this November. 

The team led by the project director Amb. Kingsley Amafibe visited the Embassy in company of the Queen,  Prof. Steve Azaiki and Mr Segun in Abuja yesterday to confirm global partnership for peace. Speaking to the Ukraine Ambassador to Nigeria, Amafibe said it was necessary to achieve the peace Objective globally to foster bilateral relationship with Ukraine on the platform of peace education campaign.
