After a keenly contested competition, University of Ilorin Theatre Arts graduate, Enuanwa Blessing has been crowned Miss Tourism International Nigeria, 2017.

She defeated 35 other girls to emerge the winner, of The Beauty of Africa International pageant (BAIP) 2017.

AMAZiNG!!! 8 year old Beauty Queen Zikora (Little  Miss Health )donates Educational Materials, Sues for healthy environment (photos)

In commemoration of this year's Global Hands Washing Day, little Miss Health, Queen Zikora Nez, has called on Nigerians to keep a healthy environment clean so as to combat disease in the country.

The 7 year old made the appeal yesterday when she visited Pupils of Rivers State Primary School Elelewon and Rivers State Primary School, Akapjo, respectively, just as she donated educational materials, hand washing sinks, among other things to the schools.

While welcoming the pupils back to school, the little queen noted that for the country to be devoid of any disease it behooves on all and sundry,she should first and foremost maintain  personal hygiene through regular hand washing as that will go a long way in preventing communicable disease.

Receiving the items, elated Head Teacher of Rivers State Primary School, Elelenwo, Mrs Cecilia Samuel, thanked the little Zikora for her visit and her act of benevolence to the pupils, praying God to meet her at the point of her needs.

Global Hand Washing Day it must be stated is a day set aside to promote a global culture of handwashing with soap and raise awarness on benefit of hand washing.

More so, the Theme for 2017 Global Handwashing Day is "Our Hand, Our future" and its celebrated every October 15 since 2008 when it was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly.

In the end, over 1000 children reaffirmed their commitment to keep a healthy environment as well as ensure they wash their hands regularly.

Ace Actor Odunlade Adekola Joins 2017 Queen Of Moremi Ajasoro Pageant as a Celebrity Guest Judge

Organisers of the 2017 Queen Móremí Àjàsorò (QMA) Cultural Pageant have announced popular Yoruba actor, Odunlade Adekola, as one of the judges for the competition’s audition which will take place from Monday, 30th of October to Wednesday, 1st of November 2017, at the Kings Palace, Enuwa, Ile Ife, Osun State, 

The QMA is an annual pageant set up to immortalise the legacy of the revered Queen Móremí Àjàsorò, a symbol of valor amongst the Yorubas who single-handedly delivered her people from perpetual marauding invaders in the 12th century. 
Expected at the audition are the over 600 ladies of Yoruba extraction from ages 18-25, who already applied online. The competition requires contestants to exhibit the virtues of Queen Móremí by demonstrating their natural beauty, intellectual and entrepreneurial acumen. 

According to the Cultural Ambassador of QMA, Princess Ronke Ademiluyi, the winner of the competition will emerge at the grand finale slated to hold on the 3rd of December this year at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos and receive N5 million investment fund, a brand new car and a chance to become a Yoruba Cultural Ambassador. 
“The 2017 winner will also receive a wardrobe allowance and other mouth-watering gifts. In addition, she will have access to business advice from experts to ensure the success of her new business venture,” she said. 

The maiden edition was won by a 600- level Dental-Surgery student of the University of Ibadan, Blessing Animasahun, who emerged victorious amongst 375 contestants in 2016 and was crowned by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, in Ile Ife. 
Adekola is a multiple award winning actor He is famous for his roles in Mufu Olosaoko, Alani Pamolekun, Asiri Ikoko amongst others.
