Rachel the PIPER foundation reaches out with monetary aid and mentorship to young Bajju ladies


To mark the birthday of her President, Amb. Rachel Bakam aka Rachel the PIPER, Rachel the PIPER foundation kept her promise which she made at the Bajju Kingdom Chieftain where the Great, Noble and Kind King of the Bajju people put together an event by the Palace and the Beauty and Brain Queen HRM margaret to empower young women in the rural community.

After speaking on human trafficking, rape and how to make it in life, Amb. Rachel Bakam opened the floor for young ladies who are interested in the media. A number of the young women came out. Rachel just kept her promise by hosting the 9 ladies and 2 representatives, Chief Anthony Didam the Waziri of Kajjuland and Chief Joseph Turaki Tsyun of Kajjuland both members of the Bajju Traditional Council sent by the King HRH Nuhu Bature Achi the Agwam Bajju 1 to represent him at this auspicious event. Rachel the PIPER foundation reached out with the support of a reputable Nigerian with a heart of gold Dr. C. Nelson Oniyama the first Ukraine's Honorary Consul in Liberia. The Foundation offered seed capital to all the ladies and Amb.
Rachel Bakam mentored and spoke to the young girls on how to build a career as Television Producers and Presenters. From the house, the ladies were transported to Africa Independent Television for a tour of the facility and to have a feel of how the media facility works. The girls were all elated and blessed at the end of the day.

In an interview afterwards, Rachel the PIPER stated that it is more blessed to give than to receive and where best to reach out than home. She also was full of Thanks to Dr. C. Nelson Oniyama for his support. Well done Ambassador. You indeed Have a golden heart. Keep the great humanitarian work up.

Governor Tambuwal, Sen Dino Melaye, Hon Shina Peller, Ned Nwoko, Others Bag Peace Achievers International Awards



Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State and Engr (Dr) Becky Damilola Oke, President of Bstan Group, have received the 2019 Peace Achievers International Awards, alongside other eminent peace builders across Nigeria and beyond.

They were honoured at the 8th edition of the annual award which held on Saturday night at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.

Gov. Tambuwal received the ‘Governor of the Year on Peace and Security’ award, and Oke, the BSTAN boss, received the ‘Award for Excellence in Business and Community Development.

Other recipients of this year’s Peace Achievers Awards, which coincided with the commemoration of World Peace Day, include Prince Ned Nwoko who received Award of Excellence in Community Development and Agent of Change and Hon. Charity Vedelago, Chairman,Global Windsor Group was hounoured as ‘ National Integration Peace Icon of the Year.

Dr Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa, former Governor of Sokoto State, Hon.Shina Peller , Lady Uche Ifeatu-Obi and Hadi Waziri Tambuwal were also honoured as peace agents. He added that since the initiative was non-political, it recognised service to humanity in whichever capacity was the benchmark that earned recipients the award.

“The award is for men and women from different spheres of human endeavours, who through selfless and exemplary leadership, ensure peace and development across the continent.”

“Those who have contributed to peace building in initiatives in Nigeria and Africa, in consonant with the vision and objectives of PAA are carefully selected and honoured,” he said.

The annual Miss Ambassador for Peace pageant, a flagship initiative of the Peace Ambassador Agency, also held at the event alongside the awards, with Miss Blessing Ikpomuosa, 25-year-old Accounting graduate, beating 24 other contestants to clinch the crown as the new Miss Ambassador for Peace.

She is expected to herald peace campaign programmes of the Peace Ambassador Agency in the next one year in line with the visions of the organisation.

Chinwe Chubuike Foundation Intervenes As 500 Persons Benefit Malaria Treatment/ Education Project In Abia State

Over 41LGAs and approximately 500Abia state indigenes have benefitted from the medical intervention outreach of Chinwe Chibuike Foundation, a leading non governmental organization that visited Umuahia community of Abia state in June 28th 2019 to deliver free malaria treatment, which involved medical tests, free malaria medicines for patients, as well as medicare education on the causes and symptoms of the deadly malaria parasite.

Minister of Women Affairs, Senator Osita Izunaso, Hon. Jim Okolo, Others Bag OSHAssociation UK Fellowship Award, Pledge to promote Safety Culture in Nigeria



The Abuja OSH workshop 2019 which was held at the SGF conference hall in the Federal Secretariat, Abuja was one of the most valued health and safety event in Nigeria. It brought home safety professionals from around the country, engineers, doctors and top government executives under the OSHAssociation umbrella to buttress the importance of building a safety culture in the country, which is one of the key mandates of the Association in the region.

The Nigerian regional president of the Association Dr. Dalhatu Mohammed welcomed all delegates to the workshop and encouraged all participants to imbibe the safety and health mentality, it was followed by the workshop briefing which was taken by the regional Administrator, Engr. Emmanuel Uwalaka, who ensured that all delegates were carried along in the workshop proceedings.

The Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Nigerian carrier, Dana Air has given its strategic route expansion plan a push with the arrival in Lagos of one of its newly acquired Boeing 737 aircraft.

Nigeria ongoing innovative soccer talent hunt project, tagged 60Goals Soccer Stars Project With Ned Nwoko is set to commence the Anambra state screening exercise today, as the Chief Host of the Anambra State Screening Exercise, Chief Amb. Ndubuisi Nzenweofor receives members of SSP in the state.

The two days screening exercise for talented footballers and grassroot soccer stars in Anambra state will be held at Ifeanyi Ubah Stadium and will kickstart at 11am today 14th and will be concluded tomorrow 15th of September 2019.
