The exam sheet is perfect for those who were sincerely interested in General Buhari’s results. No, I won't. If it comes from Cambridge or WAEC, I will accept it. But he still lied under oath. |

Seun: Politicians are known for lying so I don't care about little lies here and there that have no material impact on the way the country is governed. If Buhari doesn't have a certificate, who cares? The man's literacy, knowledge and intelligence have nothing to do with that old piece of paper. Maybe we should throw our constitution into the atlantic ocean. Lying in court under oath is ok as long as you have literacy, knowledge and intelligence |

maclatunji: Strawman arguments.
Trying to deflect the fact that asking for Buhari’s certificate when he will never have it because it is lost is at least dubious. Now who's being insincere? WAEC said he can request for a copy. Cambridge University said he can request for a copy. Whay are you saying he can never have it? |
Politics › Re: For Those Who Are Still Asking For Buhari’s Certificate by AlfaSeltzer(m): 6:03pm On Jan 23, 2015 |
Seun: The certificates issue is absolutely irrelevant. We should focus on their visions for improving Nigeria and their leadership skills and integrity. The bolded is the crust of the matter. One man claimed integrity and has been anything but a person of integrity in this whole certificate matter. A man of integrity will not lie under oath. A man of integrity will not avoid press questions on the day he himself called a press conference. A man of integrity will not enter Nigerian Army with only a letter of recommendation. And that's just on the certificate saga. Don't get me started about his refusal to condemn boko, his pledge to islamise Nigeria. His vote at OAU against a Nigerian in favour of a Niger Republic Muslim Fulani, His shouting "halaka" after woefully losing his last contest, etc, etc, etc. |

tbaba1234: This whole discussion of Buhari’s qualification is a negative distraction from the legitimate process of electioneering which should involve issues, records of the candidates, their character, and their capacity to govern. These are things we should be talking about. The constitution is very clear on the issue of qualification. It states that you are qualified to be a President if you have achieved the level of school certificate or its equivalent. Buhari has been to Military College in Britain, he has been to colleges in India and USA, involving high level of training and intellect. We need to ask if participation and completion of courses at these levels and the basic officers training in Mons Officers Cadet School are less than school certificates. On the contrary, you need school certificate to attend those courses. So, if he has attended all those courses, then there is absolutely no need to be talking about secondary school certificates anymore. ~
Professor Itsey Sagay, a constitutional lawyer. What if he used fake certificates to attend those courses? |

Dannyset: Any educated fellow should know this. Maybe people do not know that things like dis are confidential. It is a constitutional requirement that each candidate show his or her certificate. Everybody has done so except Buhari. Buhari can get hold of a copy of his certificate if he contacts WAEC office or Cambridge University. What's stopping him? |

Politics › PDP Should Challenge Buhari's Affidavit In Court. by AlfaSeltzer(op): 11:41am On Jan 23, 2015 |
What nobody is doubting, is that the information in the affidavit sworn by Buhari, that his certificates are with the Military Board, is false. Buhari may have sworn the affidavit in good faith but the information has since been revealed as no true. Even Buhari himself accepted this publicly. The error I feel PDP is making now is trying to focus only on the WASC qualification or not of the former General. They may not win in court with this angle even if Buhari has no certificate. What is a slam dunk win is going to court to challenge the validity of an affidavit which contains false information and which the swearer has admitted was wrong. The court will have no other option than to nullify the affidavit, forcing Buhari to swear another affidavit, which will be catastrophic for him, or submit his "fake" certificates himself which can them be even worse as he will no longer be able to claim good faith error.
Meanwhile they should keep the media heat on as this issue is seriously hurting APC. Notice that none of APC's big-wigs has come out to defend the "fake" certificates released by that katsina school. |
