In such scenario, GEJ will be right to stay in power and call for new election, in my opinion.

This isn't about you sitting in the comfort of your home and talking tough.

Just pray that Buhari get's killed, especially now and you will know the true meaning of AREWA.
I hope you know that Buhari will not live forever.
And when Yar'Adua died, AREWA did nothing. Bunch of illiterates.

Too many Nigerians are extremely shortsighted and are often incapable of critical thought about future contingencies and scenario analysis. This explains why we can't plan for the future.

The OP asked a very legitimate, thought-provoking question whose answer can enlighten us and help us prepare for any eventuality. Yet most numskulls that commented here are attacking him and spewing irrelevant sentimental crap.

To answer your question OP, I don't expect Buhari to win the election in the first instance. However, if he wins and unfortunately dies before May 29, Nigeria would be plunged into political crisis. The constitution makes it clear that in such a situation, the running mate (or vice president-elect) would be sworn in instead. But we all know that the North would never accept that, and even the hawks in the PDP would see that as an opportunity to perpetuate their incumbency and call for fresh elections. All kinds of crises would erupt, and some opportunists in the Military would be tempted to intervene. All in all, 'Osinbade' would never be sworn in. Nigeria's democracy and political space is not matured and strong enough to withstand such shocks.
At last, we are getting intelligent responses.
Where is the bolded in the constitution because I can't see it.

3 things will happen inevitably.

1.) The entire Ijaw Community and all the PDP loyalists will 1st be neutralized & wiped out in the Pogrom that will erupt for the assassination of GMB by Jonathan & his thugs. Thank God Asari Dokubo & Tompolo have already provided enough proofs to support that.

2.) GEJ will flee Nigeria as safety will be his major priority, not handing over, and that is if the Military Officers loyal to the North have not already taken him out by then.

3.) Since Power is expected to return to the North, then there will be a consensus and a Northern candidate will be presented & sworn into Asorock - Shikena!
No 3 is the interesting point. Will the south westerners accept that a northerner is sworn in when their son was part of the winning team? If Osinbajo is not qualified to be president, why is he the running mate?

Buhari will not die Oshinbajo will not die and all his well wishers will not die we will all live to witness the good thing they will offer when they finally took over from Goodlukc Jonathan. But for u to think of qdeath against a human being like ur self I prophecies by the power of the one who created heaven and the earth, the power who run and control the blood and water that runs in ur body and by the power of God who create the air u breathe. Every thing that works that makes u to a living soul will cease to work before may 29. There will be shout for sorrow over u before may 29 in the name of the father, the son and of the holy spirit .
If you think your fear mongering bla-bla-bla works on Satanists, you have another think coming.

Answer the op about this eventuality of Buhari's death after victory? Will GEJ hand over power to someone else?

I am more interested in what will happen vis-a-vis the presidency. Do you think GEJ will agree to hand over to Osinbajo?

A simple what if question and Nigerians go mad.

This is why there's no plan for future generation because this generation thinks it's going to live forever.

The past should tell you that no matter what you try, you can't wish death away. Especially that of sick old men.
My op is a very realistic scenario.

Maybe the police should start investigating the northerners with their inciting statements and threats of violence, and indeed actual violence against southerners.

Really? One got shot in the buttocks running away from battlefield while the other refused to go to war front and instead sent his assistants.
